Decided to try a new place today and try the SLS powder dip- wow! Walked right in, was out of there in an hour. They pay attention to detail, really take their time, and do a beautiful job. I'm the type of girl that would rather paint my own nails than get them done. However, my nails looked amazing leaving Christerpher's that I may want to come back. The decor nail shop isn't anything fancy. There's no frills but it gets the job done. They have a great selection of polishes from OPI and Essie. I decided to get gel and I may never go back to regular polish.I was a walk-in and was given a nice lady to do my toes and a gentleman to do my nails. Both were friendly but not very talkative but that's okay with me. They finished pretty quickly and did an amazing job!For a pedicure and gel manicure, it was roughly $45 without tip. I wouldn't get a pedicure often but $25 for a gel manicure isn't too bad and my nails look simple but also put together. Read Less

This was my 3rd visit to this shop. Each time, Rich did my nails. The 1st time was a good experience, minus the increased price I paid when the salon quoted a less price over the phone 20 minutes prior to my appointment. My 2nd visit, the quality of work decreased. I was also cut by the drill and charged a different (more expensive) price than my 1st visit. (Same type of service each time.)My 3rd and LAST visit, the quality of work was a mess. My nails are uneven and the gel is lumpy. Again, I was charged a different price!Visit this place only if you want them to RUSH on your nail service (regardless of how plain or elaborate your nails are), not listen to what you want exactly done, cut your cuticles by the drill and charge you a different price each time you visit. Wow, this place has gone downhill. I've been a loyal customer for the past 5 years and last few times I've gone the experience has been awful.Don't get me wrong, there are a few really good employees here, however the rest of the employees are rude, unprofessional and just lazy.Here's what's changed:- Some employees are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I'm a really laid back/nice person and I usually can just brush things off and carry on. That said, they hardcore try to up-sell you on extra things here. When I'd decline, the girls would start talking amongst themselves in their own language clearly complaining about me. Or, if a certain nail looked bad after they had finished, I'd ask them nicely to fix it. Only to be met with an attitude. When I'd ask if there was a problem, they'd just smile to me and say "No, everything's fine" then start talking about me again. It's happened more than once, and it's incredibly unprofessional.- They no longer sterilize their tools like they once did. Which is just gross. I liked being able to sign off on a fresh set of clean tools!- They are also no longer as hospitable as they once were long ago. I really appreciate the small things they used to do like offering a beverage, or helping me out of a chair once my nails were done.I used to enjoy coming here and it's  heartbreaking to see this place go downhill. I'm going on vacation and I just got my nails done a week ago so I didn't need another manicure, just a color change. I asked my coworker where she gets her nails done because they're always flawless and I didn't have time to go to my usual place. They asked me to pick a color and I picked something neutral and light. I know my natural nails are going to show through but he didn't even paint the side of the nails. Completely rushed and at some point he wasn't even looking at my nails. So I guess if the service isn't worth $50+ you don't care to take care of the customer properly? Rich always does an amazing job. I've had long coffins and short natural nails. He's patient, kind, and accommodating. I always leave happy and my nails last quite a while. They do take their time which can be a blessing and a curse, so make sure to allow a little extra time for their excellent work! Well worth it! Read Less

We came in for a manicure and pedicure, the place was very nice and hygienic (plastic covers on tubs for pedicure). They closed at 7 but gave us service until 7:30 which was appreciated. I didn't like how in the beginning it was impossible to get any of them to speak to us but definitely appreciated the quiet atmosphere once every one was gone. It was $20 for a pedicure and $15 for a manicure so a bit pricier than some places I go to but it was in a convenient location for a last minute event I had. My girlfriend comes here for past year, and I sometimes tag along for a pedicure. First, the staff is extremely rude and they are always speaking vietnamese with each other. That is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL in a workplace to speak a different language. Second, my girlfriend a few months ago got her nails done and used that special gel which is the most expensive one for the nails. After a couple days the color started changing in some parts, and fading in others. She had paid around 40-50bucks. She went back, they said they wouldnt charge her over the phone to fix it up, when she went, they argued and threatened to call the police that she needed to pay again. Wow. Such an embarrassing business. Something like this, if said that it would be free, then it should be free, not threaten to call police. Anyways, my girlfriend always has to come back a few days after getting her nails done cause many times they wont shape the fake nail thing evenly to the other ones. She again, always calls before time asking if they will do it for free, and they always say Yes. But once she goes in, they always end up charging her.... for the one nail. Not courteous at all, they will charge you a $1 or $2 instead of just doing it for free. Last time she went, she chipped her nail a few days after getting them done. She called saying she was going to come in to get it fixed, and she was told it would be for free. Then when she was done they charged her $5. You never know what to expect when leaving here.Lastly, everytime I ask for a Pedicure for myself, they won't tell you what is, or is not, included in the Pedicure Option I choose, so during the pedicure they will ask me if I want, or don't want something, but wont say if its an extra cost. A $22 pedicure once turned into $32 without having told me that some of the things they asked me cost extra. That's tricking a customer. They do this every time.Wont be returning here. Dont recommend this place to anyone. Bad business. And stop speaking vietnamese infront of your customers. It is Rude and unprofessional. Read Less

I went looking for a new nail place and decided to try this shop due to its close proximity to my office and the large amount of reviews. Overall, I was pleased. Jack did an amazinggggg job on my coffin shaped nails with marble design, gorgeous. Also, Lynn did a beautiful job on my pedicure and was very thorough making sure everything was perfect. So, that leads me to my two issues with this place so far: Firstly, the pricing was not really explained so when I left paying $100 I was a bit surprised. I don't mind paying but it is a big help if the technicians or assistants who talk to you about what you want explain better so you know what to expect as a customer.The secondary issue is that there was a lot of chatter between technicians (which normally I don't mind, it is the culture and if people are bored..well, they are gonna talk and hang out). That being said the chatter was WAY out of control. They talked amongst themselves and made no conversation with me (just over me)...It was so loud it was impossible to relax. Sorry, but people come to get their nails done, relax, and check out of reality for an hour or so. Professionalism goes a long way and I urge the business to work on this. Been coming here for about 7 months and have always loved it....until recently I keep getting the same girl for my gel mani. She takes twice as long as anyone else. That wouldn't be a problem if it was better, but it's not. The last time it took over an hour for my nails that had no polish on them to start. She only did 2 coats of the actual color and once I looked in the sun you could tell it was too thin and could see streaks in it. To make things even worse my gel nails started chipping after TWO days!! By day 5 my entire thumbnail was completely coming off. I get gel for a reason, and it's not so it can only last a week. I used to go here a lot and now I'm done. Walked in for my appointment with my friend and said we were getting 2 pedicures and we were immediately asked "just pedicure not manicures or anything else?!" As if we weren't going to spend enough money. Then we sit down they they are digging into our nails and it never hurts and this hurt. When it came time for my massage the technician set the timer, put lotion on my legs, messaged my right leg for 10 seconds, then left the entire 4 minutes and 50 seconds for my left leg. I mean what the heck?So toes are done, and the polish looks great. Went to pay and I had to say something. I told the lady up front that my right leg was barely massaged and wanted to let her know. She then gets the technician that did my toes (awkward) and they both fought me saying she massaged my legs evenly. I'm not lying I used to come here all the time and I loved it. I have been coming here on and off for the past 3 years. Typically the customer service is good. My nails always turn out nice. Even though I have had my nails done better at other locations, this salon is close to where I live. I arrived for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was greeted politely and two nail technicians began to work on me. At the end of the appointment, they were annoyed that I did not have cash for a tip, but I did leave a tip on my card. As I was walking out of the salon at 7:20pm. The nail technician that had done my pedicure says to me, "We close at 7pm, next time come earlier" and proceeded to roll her eyes. Mind you, I was still in my work clothes, which was very obvious, and was saying how I came straight from work. I simply will not be returning to this establishment. Besttttttt nail salon in Orange County! They are always consistent and everyone really is so talented and detail oriented. I have had my nails done by 3 different people so far and they are all amazing. I've been coming to this establishment regularly for about 5 years, but I'm not coming back ever again.The past 2 years they've really gone downhill and most of the issues have to do with horrible customer service.Nail technicians will barely greet or acknowledge you. My nails have been coming out crooked. I'm not at all someone who is picky with their nails and it's really rare for me to point out an error. But if there is a LUMP on my coat and I nicely point it out- I shouldn't have a technician rolling her eyes, sighing deeply, and muttering in Vietnamese. Once when I got a pedi the technician had me put my feet in scalding hot water, then was annoyed when I said it was too hot. For the past year and a half, I've been chalking up each bad experience to getting the wrong technician because I know there are some technicians in here that are GREAT! I just haven't gotten them in awhile and it's not worth the rude customer service to go back.If the owners of this establishment ever read this review, I really used to enjoy coming to your location. Technicians used to have me sign off on the bag of clean instruments, that doesn't happen anymore. I used to be offered a beverage, I barely get acknowledged when I walk in the door let alone a drink. Technicians fall asleep and ignore customers when they come in. First time here and I found it on yelp decided to give it a try. The place is very nice inside and relaxing.Lots of colors to choose from as well.My nail tech cut me when cutting my cuticles and started laughing saying whoops.. (maybe next time apologize and don't laugh ?) Both girls working on me didn't cut all of my cuticles so I cut them when I got home. Got a mani & pedi. Both came out decent. I also got the deluxe pedi which had two scrubs, a mask and extra massage. It was really nice and made my feet feel so soft ($31) so on top of paying extra for the massage you also get a massage for just getting a pedi and the girl asked me if I still wanted the extra massage.... um.. DUH. They weren't even done yet and the girl working on my mani asked me to pay now so I didn't mind. I gave her my card and she said if I could give them a cash tip, but I didn't have cash and she gave a big sigh with attitude. 1, don't ever assume you are getting a tip. 2, obviously if I have cash I will give you cash but if I don't, take the tip on the card or don't take a tip at all. 3, finish my services before you collect your tip. I don't think I will be returning. I only came here bc it was close by where I live and I was too tired to drive further but my favorite nail salon is wonder nails in FV. Read Less

They have butchered my nails on multiple occasions & have been so rough I have cuts and scars on my nail beds. They are so rough that the whole experience is stressful and unnecessary. I am so glad that the salon I was going to was closed on Sundays because I came here for the first time in years (I've getting my nails done regularly for about a year now) and I looooove it. Rich does an amazing job every time and I swear it's effortless for him. He's also very quick with the same level of quality! I keep saying "this is why you're the professional!" Because I love doing my own nails but I don't have the experience and skill needed to make them as beautiful as I want. Rich books up quickly btw so make an appointment if you're for sure going to be there and want him to do your acrylics or silks. I swear I don't know how he gets them so perfect so easily! I'm in awe. Amy does amaaaaaaaazing nail art. I brought in pictures of lobsters in a manicure and she did them perfectly. Lobsters! The size of fingernails! Once or twice since becoming a regular here I've gone with a friend to their salon...bad idea. I've become accustomed to how great my nails look when I leave here and now I can't go anywhere else! I came here today because my friend (who I was with) spoke about how great her nails came out the last time she was here. But I am completely let down by their service and the quality of their gel manicure. When we initially walked in, there was only one other customer there. The other four nail technicians that weren't working on the customer were sitting on the spa chairs and gave us absolutely no greeting. My friend was so taken aback by this alone, she questioned whether or not we walked into the same place she previously raved about. We were then seated and asked to pick out our colors. Everything was fine until the actual painting of the nails --my manicure came out with an uneven coat on ALL the 10 fingers, little tiny air bubbles, and gel paint all over my skin (not to mention the 2 cuts she gave me while doing cuticle care). When I asked my technician (SOPHIA) if she could possibly fix the air bubble, she sighed and said she saw nothing wrong with it... but added an extra coat on top of it anyway to try and comply to my request. When I told her that the air bubble was still there, she said in Vietnamese to the other technicians "this girl keeps nagging me for no reason.. saying that there's something wrong but there's nothing there." Luckily for me, my friend was getting her acrylic manicure done by the owner --Chris. He asked to see my nail and immediately pointed out to Sophia that there was indeed an air bubble on my middle finger. He and the other presumably much more experienced nail technicians told her she had to buff out the bubble before adding another coat, otherwise it won't go away. We finally finished my nails and she looks at all of them to "make sure" there are no other problems.. she gave me the OK and my mistake was not checking it for myself. By the time I saw yet another air bubble, she had run off to work on another customer on the other side of the store. I asked another technician to fix it for me and she was really sweet for doing so. Right away though, I knew she was SO much better than my original technician. So overall, I am happy with my ONE nail.. the rest of them are uneven coated and even the clear top coat wasn't applied correctly. I promise (for what it's worth haha) I am not a picky person!
