When removing the gel from my nails using the shaving machine, it took off a piece of skin from my finger. I understand mistakes happen so while that finger stopped bleeding she tried to finish the other one , when almost having the same mistake. I decided to leave and let the manager know the situation, turns out she was the young lady sitting at the front desk. Being a prior manager, if you hear an issue with your customers you go and give a helping hand, which she didn’t. Once she saw my finger her response was very unconcerned and trying to brush off that it was the first time it happens that my finger will be fine. I wish the finish product better. The experience was nice and she got the shape right. I paid extra to have her put rhinestones on both ring finger nail. The rhinestones on both nails came off an hour after of leaving the salon. Also when my gel nail polish was curing one nail on my left hand did not cure properly. She notices it when she went to put the top coat. Instead of removing the polish correctly, she just removes it with her finger, added another coat of polish and has me cure it again. It still didn't cure properly and the nail is lumpy. I ended up having to go home and remove the rhinestones, buff off glue off and add my own rhinestones. I don't think that I'll be coming back. Unfortunately I have very sensitive nail beds. It has been incredibly difficult finding a salon where they didn't hurt me. That was until I walked into Bollinger on Salvio Street. The salon was very clean and the receptionist was very friendly. Tang did my nails. So disappointed in you Bollinger Nails. I've been coming here for years and have always had great service despite how expensive it is. I came right before Christmas (Dec 23) for a pedicure and gel manicure. I also brought my 5 year old to get her nails painted.I chose my color and specifically asked for my fingers and toes to match (deep dark red). She did the pedicure first and then the gel. When she was done, the two colors did not match at all. One was deep dark red and the other was the brightest red you can imagine. I mentioned it to her and all she said was "sorry." At check out, I explained the situation to the receptionist. She said the woman who did my nails was new and doesn't match colors well. She told me they could fix it right then for me, but with a 5 year old there I said that wouldn't work. She told me I could come in anytime within 2 weeks and have it fixed for free. I clarified to make sure I had the facts straight and went on my way. Less than two weeks later I made my appointment to have my gel color fixed. I explained the situation to the woman on the phone who looked up my past appointment and confirmed everything. Tonight when I walked in the receptionist told me that I was going to be charged for my service. I asked why and she said "we don't do that." I asked why I was told that by two different people if that wasn't the case. She just said "sorry, we don't do that." She said I could have come in within 1-2 days to have it fixed for free. Oh. You mean, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?!?! Really?!?!Therefore I told her I just wanted the current gel removed. She said that would cost $7. Seriously?!?! You can't kick down $7 to make up for your mistake?!? I'm completely baffled by the lack of communication and customer service I experienced here. "Sorry" doesn't fix any of it. I find myself with a couple hours of free time while my friend is studying and called for a spa pedicure appointment.  Tran was quick and very professional and the pedicure looks great.  I asked her to match my gel nails with polish, and she "nailed" it!  Dont hesitate to come here for spa pedicure.  I would definitely recommend this salon.  Parking is a breeze, and the location is easy to find. I got the dip shilac and my toes done the day before my vacation. Five days later my nail falls off and all my other nails lifted. I spent enough money and the nail tech kept telling me they have the best product and it would last for three weeks which is didn't even last one. Called to speak to a manager and was told they have no manager or supervisor in the location and couldn't give me a number or time to call back. Left my number for a manager to call me just to have the same person call me back and then tell me she was too busy to talk to me even though she was the one to call me. Finally got them to agree to take my nails off, went in and they RIPPED the nails off, didn't even soak them. So now my nails are super thin and she broke one of them. My husband and I got some time away alone and decided to start our day by getting a pedi. I called and got us an appointment. I forgot who did my Husband's pedi but she cut the shit out of his toe. Lyn did my pedi and it's probably the worst one I've ever had. I have had better pedicures in the back alleys of Puerto Vallarta. After just one week it looked as though I drug my toes through sand for 12 hrs straight.  During my pedi an old customer of Lyn's  walked in with her Mom and Sister, they all had appointments for pedis with other staff. Just as they sat down I noticed the increase in speed at which Lyn was trying to finish. She told the former customer lady that she would do her pedi instead. That's when my pedi went downhill. Made an appointment yesterday for today at 10 am. Didn't get seen until 10:15 am and I am now writing this at 10:44, after receiving an okayish GEL MANICURE and a decent pedicure. Yes, two ladies were working on me at the same time but we all now how long these services typically take. Not only were they super rushed but annoyed as hell that I took 5 minutes to find the color I wanted for my toes. After my manicure was over, I said "thank you" and the lady walked away. When my pedicure was over a couple minutes later the lady asked, "do you want to go?" I was so confused. Don't my toes have to dry? She helped me put on my sandals and walked off. I walked myself over to the drying area and I sit here wandering how in the world is this considered acceptable customer service anywhere?! Will not be coming back.Updated to add that nails are already chipping less than 24 hours in. But that's to be expected with how quick they were done. Read Less

I personally like the Walnut Creek location the best.  I feel like my nail tech at this location rushed.  She didn't ask me if I wanted my natural nails cut and didn't trim any hang nails or cuticles, so I had to file down and cut my full set and now I'll already have to be back in for another nail appointment since I had to cut them down to my (already long) natural nails (which I wanted cut down). Very disappointed with the service here. Gave them 2 stars because I walked in without an appointment and was able to sit down quickly. I asked for a basic mani/pedi. They did the pedicure first which was fine. Then everything went wrong with the mani. I told the girl that I just wanted a basic manicure, no gel, no acrylics, just plain color and a design on one of the fingers on each hand (which I showed her the design and asked if she could do it and she said yes).After doing the manicure part she asked if I wanted a certain nail polish color (she showed me the bottle) to match the picture and I said yes. She paints my nails and then the "art" on the one finger on each hand went terribly wrong. It did not look like the photo and looked like a child drew it. I asked her if she could just take it off and do the plain color. Previously even when I asked her if she could do the art in the photo I even said if she couldn't it's fine that I'd just get plain color. She said no she couldn't do that. I walk over to pay and they say $70??!! The basic mani/pedi I asked them for was supposed to be I think like $40 or something like that. I asked them why was it so much more expensive, they said because I got gel nail polish and nail art. I told the receptionist that the woman showed me the nail color and I said yes and asked if it was still under the basic mani/pedi and she said yes. The receptionist said sorry that I owed $70. I said well she also messed up the nail art (showed her the photo and the poor quality the manicurist did). she looked at my nails then at me and said $70. I paid the $70 and left upset. I will never be returning to this location or possibly any of the other ones. I've read how poor of quality this chain offers. Read Less

I was initially hesitant to book Bollinger Nail Salon because of some of the negative reviews, but I am so glad that I did. The staff there was so helpful and kind and my nails turned out beautifully!I booked Bollinger Nail Salon for a "party" the day before my wedding. Myself and 8 other women involved in the wedding (including my mom, my future mother-in-law, and my bridesmaids, some of whom hadn't ever gotten their nails done before!) got both a manicure and a pedicure and we were all super happy with the results! The staff was very competent and helped us all at the same time, even though there were so many of us. When one of my bridesmaids scuffed her nail at the end, smearing some of the polish, the nail technician fixed the scuff at no additional cost! I haven't been to this shop in years.  I found a gift card that I had forgotten about so I thought I will just swing by and get a signature spa pedicure.  Michael at the front desk warmly greeted me and and within a minute I was seated for my "me moment".  The salon was clean.  The chairs and tubs were in great condition and the Elle magazine was current.  Mary was my pedicurist.  What an amazing job she did.  Shaped my nail well, fabulous massage (not to firm like some) and the paint was applied with a very steady hand.  Wonderful experience. I had an unfortunate situation with a really bad shellac manicure at bollinger last week. No need to go into detail but below you can see by the photo how awful it was. That photo was taken the minute I stepped outside. The color did not match what number it was and in all honesty it looked like mayonnaise put on my nails. I contacted the nail salon and Mike assisted me in getting back in and fixing what had happened. He was extremely kind and got me all booked up. Vicki redid my nails and did an amazing job. Pictures below you can see the difference. I highly recommend Vicki to anyone who wants a good manicure. Vicki takes her time and is beyond sweet. So I'm pretty disappointed with my service today, I was really eager to come back because I had an amazing pedicure last week and couldn't resist! I booked for a signature pedi today at 6pm and arrived early. They where able to seat me which was really nice but half way through the pedicure she asked me if I wanted "scrub" I just assumed some people don't want it on there signature pedi so I disregarded it until I felt my service was super rushed and nothing like the experience I had last week. No one told me I'd be getting anything other than a signature. Which is supposed to take longer but I'm walking out with a shorter time in the salon than I had intended. She's also cleaning the tub while I'm in the tub which I've never experienced either. *sigh... Read Less

Not happy at all! I did my research to try to find a good nail place cause it's been a while that I got a full set on. So I decided to go to this place and first off they wanted $50 for a full set with gel. So I decided to get regular nail polish with narrow square tips. I ended up with coffin style nails and they don't even all look alike! I'm so pissed. I have glue all around my nails. I waited a day to finish this review and I just broke a nail putting clothes in the washer. That's how thin these nails are. I will be going in tomorrow to ask for a refund. Wish me luck Read Less
