Since having been to Queen Nails off Old Taylor Mill Rd, I realise a lot of things about my last foray with getting my nails done. The people at the last salon I went to were very unfriendly, rough and the woman who did my fake tips did them WRONG. Last time I did shellac, this time I did some type of powder thing. I can't express enough how happy I am. I never caught the name of the woman doing my nails, and wished I had. Because she was so thorough and told me about afterc...are and what not to do vs what to do and how to fix it if the shine went away. At the last place I went to, it was silent, the tech was a bit rough with me, and she put the fake ALL the way down to my cuticle. Here, the tips were placed ON my tips, she was friendly, checked with me throughout the entire time to make sure I was happy, and recommended the dip powder thing instead of the shellac because shellac isn't always good for your nails. The place was clean, it didn't smell overly strong of nail polish and I EVEN GOT THE HAND MASSAGE, something that didn't happen at the last place I went to! The entire time she was doing it I was so incredibly happy, and the tech next to her was friendly as well. I would recommend this place to anyone, and in fact have a co-worker who gets her nails done regularly. She lives in the area, and I will definitely start telling her to go to Queen Nails! This was such a horrible experience . Normally I don't do reviews unless my experience was horrible. My friend just needed a fill and I needed a soak off . So we walked in there were only two other guests in the salon. So we came in at 220 and our techs started on our nails at 230 it is now 430.My tech trimmed my nails ... when I wanted a soak off . My actual nail was pretty long and he trimmed them and "soaked" the rest off . Highly irritated because the point of soak off was try to keep them somewhat longer but that didn't happen . Secondly as I wait , my friends  first tech pawn off my friend to what it looks to be the owner . After and 1.5 hours It has been  2 hours. Fills should NOT take 2 hours ....A guest had a pedicure and manicure came in at the same  time and she has left already.I had other errands today but now they are missed because of this . Plus the first tech didn't even shape my friends nails right  the first time and he kept helping people coming in because no one else was . Ridiculous . Today was my mom's and my first time here (It was recommended by a friend of ours). We went in today for my wedding nails (I am getting married on Saturday) and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I don't often leave yelp reviews, but this was the best mani/pedi I have ever had. Eric greeted us and was warm and welcoming. He listened carefully (I have "problem" toenails from having toenail surgery, and he then conveyed that to the pedicurist (I didn't catch her name, but she was fantastic!). Sophie (I think that was her name) did my nails. Both my mom and I had French on our nails, and both Kelly and Sophie went above and above making sure that the French was perfect. The massage was also excellent for both the pedicure and the manicure. Due to the fact that it was for my wedding, Sophie was so sweet and did a cute design underneath my ring fingers without me even having to say anything. Both my mom and I left very happy with the results and will definitely be back! I highly recommend this shop and Eric and Sophie in particular. :) I recommend calling for an appointment. Read Less

I have been getting my nails done for over 25 years. My previous nail tech retired so I needed to find someone new. Based on reviews for this location, I decided to give it a try. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone employed here are friendly and nice, not to mention their skill level is a leap and a bound ahead of other salons I've gone to. Very nice & pleasant BUT 2 1/2  hrs for a full set is crap! The job they did on daughters nails was awful, uneven strokes of acrylic. NEVER again will I ever take or recommend this place to anyone! And to compensate for the time & shity nails they did gel polish! Are u fkn kidding me?!?! 2.5 hrs for nails is unacceptable!! Especially on my daughters bday! I definitely gave her the worst,  wasted gift of all times. I'm hesitant to write a 5-star review because I like keeping this secret oasis to myself!! However, it's time to give this place the recognition it deserves! I've been going here since they opened - and I've been hooked ever since! I'm truly amazed at the artistry and care that I've witnessed. Kristen is who I always see. She takes the time to really understand what you are looking for, suggests ways to improve a style you were thinking, and is a perfectionist so you alway...s leave looking and feeling amazing. She puts the customer first, and never rushes her art - even if the crazy intricate design you asked for takes 3 hours (sorry Kristen!) Vicki is great with kids - so patient! Occasionally, I bring my niece in for a special treat and she always leaves smiling ear-to-ear! Kelly's free-handed design work is breathtaking. I've never seen anything like it. They do an absolute excellent job at this place, but they constantly turn away business if you don't have an appointment even though it says "walk-ins welcomed" on the door. I've been there 5 times, and 3 times they turned me away because "we're down a nail girl today, you should make an appointment" I will not go back there because of that. Read Less

He listened carefully (I have "problem" toenails from having lost the ones on my great toe a few times) and knew a lot about nails and how they grow. The last pedicure I'd had resulted in an infection under the nail bed because the guy didn't listen to me. So, Eric's attentiveness was much appreciated. He did a great pedicure and massage. Moni did my hands. She and Eric were both very friendly and talkative. My manicure was great, too, and I ended up getting a little design on my ring finger. I checked out Moni's other designs and she is very good. I got a great hand and arm massage and left very happy with the results. I highly recommend this shop and Eric and Moni in particular. I found this salon via Yelp, while trying to find something new in the area. I have been to multiple nail salons and it is hard to find salons that take their time and do good pedicures. I called the salon about 2:30pm to set an appointment for 3:30pm and they gladly accepted me. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and given their assortment of nail colors (several new colors just in today). They brought me to my chair and got started right away.This salon is small and fairly simple inside. Equipment is a little older, but that's not really a selling point to me. The pedicure was GREAT! The gentleman who took care of me took his time and did more than what I've had at other places. I was watching the other pedicures around me as well, it seems consistent that all of the nail techs took their time and really made a great experience for their clients. I had a gel pedicure by Sophea. She gave the BEST foot/leg massage I've ever had!  She took her time and I was able to relax in the massage chair while she made my feet look pretty again. She was very detailed with the polish  I will definitely be back again! Read Less

I had the best experience here today! I went in for a gel mani as a walk in. They didn't have anybody available, but they were able to schedule me for an appointment with Sophia one hour later. I didn't mind & thought it was very respectful of my time. They didn't tell me "it'll be 15 minutes" and have me wait there to finally be seen a hour later like I've experienced at other shops. I honestly cannot review their service, I wasn't given the chance.  I walked in a few minutes before noon, and while there were only two people receiving pedicures, I was turned away.  The lady said that they only take appointments now, even though their door and business clearly states that walk ins are welcome.Truly a bummer.  A quick, clean place to get a ped that gets good reviews is hard to find.  Maybe someone else will have better luck. This was my first time and Thai did French pedicure. This was the best pedicure EVER! He pretty much was putting me to sleep. The foot and lower leg massage was excellent. I always hate when they scrub under your feet but I really had no problem when he did it. First time ever too. I always drop into places for a pedicure but I scheduled my next pedicure. I am amazed these guys decided to go out of their way to help me and my nieces. The girls wanted a holiday manicure today, the day before Thanksgiving. Most places close early or aren't open at all. I called around several places that take walk-ins, and though they normally close at 7, they closed today at 5. They said they were willing to take us. We weren't able to get there until exactly five; we went to the wrong salon first. There are two nail salons in the NE Clovis/Herndon center; when we were late, they called and guided me to their salon next to Jimmy John's behind the gas station. Expecting to be turned away, we were met with three manicurists who decided to stay and help us. The salon is very clean and relaxing. Soft background music was playing. The workers sat us down, got right to work, and made us feel relaxed. One guy, James, did the eight year-old's nails and kept her entertained. Cassidy has a message for him: "I love those guys who did my nails that are nice and that are very good at doing my nails and for me and I love my nails." Our nails look fantastic. I expect them to last awhile, since they are gel and got six coats altogether. Three manicures for $63 is a bargain. I highly recommend this place, since the workers are very helpful, and it's much closer to me than Venus, where I used to go.
