Love Tina!! She gives me an amazing manicure every time! I usually get a full set gel with color but this time around I stuck to my classic pink/white powder with gel.. I've been going here for years. I really love Nina but she's not there much and Sam but he left. Today I went to Snow- she's kind of new. She's very fast but when it comes to painting she doesn't care. I asked for ombré glitter and I had to walk her through the process.... it's not that hard! I think she was so impatient that she rushed my nails and left them looking like this at the end. Paint everywhere and when she sprayed the alcohol at the end for gel she left my fingers wet. No cotton swab or nothing. Then I was picking at the gel on purpose and she told me "to go wash my hands". I've never had to wash my hands after gel!!!!! This is a late post. After reading the negative post yesterday I thought I would share mine.I'm been Tima's customer for more than 10 years. Last year, I was diagnosed with cancer and gone  through chemo.  I haven't visited Tina's shop for more a while.  Little did I know that she was looking for me and attempted to contact me several times. But because I had a new number she couldn't get hold of me.Last month I visited her shop and that's when I shared with her my condition.  My hands and feet have discoloration and my nails are dark. I was afraid to get my manicure/pedicure because of sensitivity.  She checked my hands and saw my nails. Tina said I'll trim your nails and assured me that it's not going to hurt.  By her volunteering to do it herself even though they're busy meant a lot. As she was waxing my eyebrow, I was sharing with her what I went through. Tina couldn't hide her tears .  I saw her concern and she emphatized with me.  I was treated like a person not just a customer.  When I was about to pay I noticed she didn't charged me for my nails. When I was giving her a tip she didn't accept it and said "Honey keep it. You're not working right now"  I was at the shop yesterday and I was given the same TCL again by Tina and Ivy.Ivy did my mani & pedi with gentle touch. You ladies are great! Read Less

My family and I have been coming here for 2 years now. We're always welcomed warmly by Tina and we love it here. Our pedicures are always on point. Ivy fever fails to impress! You definitely get what you pay for (maybe even more). The salon has quality products and is spotless. They are very hygienic and the tools are always sanitized. They have a huge variety of regular nail polish and countless gel colors to choose from. Aside from being the owner, Tina waxes and threads eyebrows BEAUTIFULLY. The main lady there I guess "Tina", is rude. She basically forces you to get Gel color no matter what.. charges the full 37 plus 2 for matte gel.. which is being used instead of the gel.. i payed with a credit card and told her i had no cash no i need few dollars cashback to give the girl a tip.. she said she cant do that i said well can you add $3 to my bill as a tip she said she cant do that.. she said i can use the ATM machine in there "which charges $1 to take money out". in addition to the $1 she was charging me for paying with a card... i told her in that case I can just give the girl $5 tip.. if she would just give me the cash. I said ok well since it was late I had no time to do my own nails or mine and my daughters waxes... so i will come tomorrow and give her girl the tip..she lost it.. she got so rude saying that next time if you're not going to tip dont come here.. so i said fine took the money out the machine.. gave her girl only a $3 tip and I went to the nail place inside the chula vista mall by burlington.. the ladies there are never rude or greedy.. I got a full set brow and lip wax and 2 pedicures.. Tina you need to know that i always give a good tip.. I have known Tina for Over 10 years, she is amazing always takes care of her customers like family. few weeks ago I went to do my nail Tina normally only does my waxing only, it seem like she was short on staff or maybe I got there to late but I was so surprise when she told me she would do my manicure, to be honest I was like mmmm???? she has never help me with that. But Tina did a wonderful job, hopefully know I can ask her to do my manicure all the time :). Tina You are Great! Second time I am here and I loved my experience more. This time I got my nails dome by Maria. I wanted a gel manicure and as Maria started to paint my nails, she noticed that the color I chose was too watery. So she recommended that I add a darker color on top similar to the one I wanted. I was a bit skeptical but the color she chose was perfect! Tina also came in and added more sparkle to what I already had. Definetly coming back. This place has some super dope gel colors which is its main selling point in my book. If you're into nail art, Nina is super legit and talented. She's the best manicurist there and probably belongs in a better salon to be honest. Cindy was bomb too but she left, unfortunately.I've been here many times only because it's so conveniently close to my work but I don't see myself going back again. Two times I went, they were supposed to have the "perfect match" gel nail polish and regular polish for toes and the colors were way off. They don't really have their shit together at this spot. They have all these stupid stipulations about payment and you get charged a dollar for using your debit card. And of course they have a big ass ATM machine inside the shop just waiting to charge you extra fees too. Tina, the owner, is so annoying. The second you walk in she pounces on you trying to sucker you into extras. You want regular polish, she'll try talking you into gel. You want a manicure, she'll try talking you into a pedicure too. Mark my words, she'll call you "Honey" a million times because that's her lame hustle. I honestly prefer to walk into a peaceful nail shop and take my time choosing my colors. Don't we go to the nail shop to relax? The last thing I want is to feel like I'm on a car lot being harassed the minute Tina smells me walk in...jeez lady! Tina's thirst is a big turn off and makes me want to avoid stepping foot in this salon ever again.To conclude, one star for their gel colors and another star for Nina. The end. Read Less

One of the best manicures I've had in a while. The one I go to when I'm in SJ just seems to disappoint me every time I go nowadays so I'm glad to have come out of Tina's as a very satisfied customer! Went right when it opened and didn't have to wait. Signed my name on the list and picked my color and I was good to go! The decor of the nail salon was clean & cute. They had ribbons on the wall and a dark red theme going on. The staff was friendly. They provide waxing services and many other things as well. A regular manicure was only $12. So worth it!I always appreciate it when my manicurists paint the sides of my nails. A lot of manicurists miss it and don't bother to paint over it. So thank you! I like how she shaped my nails as well. They have a raffle going on where you get a chance to win $100 at their nail salon. I got a raffle ticket after my service, so let's hope I win.. but then I'd have to wait to use it when I'm back in SD! Thank you for making my nails pretty for my tea party.
