To be honest, I was disappointed with this nail salon. I just moved here so I was looking for a new place for my mani/pedis and he Yelp reviews seemed promising. My first complaint is their very limited color selection for gel polish. I spent 10 minutes finding the perfect color only to be told "we don't have that one"...ooookkkk thanks for telling me that now. So I ended up settling for a color I wasn't happy with. Secondly, I do not appreciate being asked how much my jewelry costs. This place is shady and they charge you based on their opinion of you. I was charged $46 for a gel manicure and a classic $20 pedicure. So a gel manicure is $26? That doesn't make any sense. Overall, just annoying vibes from this place. I won't be back. Read Less

This place is great. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday, which is rare for a nail shop. Everybody was friendly and professional. I got a gel mani and one of the best pedicures I've ever had. They also give you a complimentary adult beverage with selected services. Who doesn't love that? I'm looking forward to my next visit! Read Less

Just had the worst experience ever at a nail place and I've had some crapy nail experiences. A friend and I came here because the establishment had good reviews and wanted to relax before heading to the mall. We were greeted well. My pedicurist was great. Attentive and got my services correct. But my pedicurist struggled with my manicure. She didn't take off the gel color that I came in with and as you see in my pic did not paint nail color well. But the worst experience came from my friend. Her manicurist didn't soak her fingers in water and attempted cuticle removal without softening them. Ouch! She continued on and when she didn't remove all the gel from a prior color as well, my friend commented to her that she hadn't taken it all off, the manicurist responded with "don't worry about it!" We were both taken back by that response. But as we always do, continued on as we committed to these services. When the manager came to ask us how our services were, I was truthful and explained the shortcomings. He listened and we asked that he don't make a big deal but we probably wouldn't come back. He goes and ask the manicurist if she soaked my friends hands and she said she did. I'm thinking in my head, why would we lie about that. But again, instead of leaving the situation alone. The manager comes and says "that's my daughter and she wouldn't do that." OMG! Why would we lie about this. At this point, we are just waiting for nails to dry, and his "daughter" comes to confronted us and says "so what's the problem?" I'm flabbergasted at this point because are we in some alley nail joint where you allow your staff to confront customers? Manager was standing behind his daughter and not saying anything. Not until his daughter had her say, and I said that this was highly unprofessional did he say that she needed to step away. Then he proceeded to tell my friend she didn't have to pay for manicure. Long story short, my friend still payed for manicure because we aren't those types who don't pay for a service rendered but will NEVER go back to this place!!! I payed 61 for a not great mani/pedi. And she paid 51 for a pedi but the mani didn't consisted of torture and the nail color is coming off as we speak because there's still gel color under. I expected better from Otay areas places but Crystals is not Otay material. Stay clear from this place. Read Less

My toes needed a lot of help!! I don't get pedicures that often but live it when I do and then think why don't I do this more often.  The atmosphere is very neat and clean. Love the decor. You get to sit in a wave with painted dolphins right behind you. The people there are very nice. The lady who did my nails did a great job and made sure that I was comfortable. Spa heaven!!!! I was papered to the point of almost falling asleep. I received a manicure and pedicure. My feet were dipped in a hot wax, scrubbed with a sea salt, and had a mask that soothed my legs. Their attention to detail is amazing and I'm so glad I made a pit stop here. I was the first one in and was given a complimentary water. They give you a long  list to choose from including mimosas! This is the perfect place to take someone as a gift or just to treat your self to some papering without paying an arm and leg. Found a new nail shop! Read Less

Omg please do not waste your money and time going here ...my sisters manicure was horrible! The polish came out all bumpy and my gel is ALREADY chipping off and I literally got them done yesterday. The nail spot even regal nails at Walmart is so much better. NEVER AGAIN. They need to spend more money on better quality polish than the mimosas. Read Less

I've been coming here for about two years now. With that being said I love it here. It's a nice way to reward myself on a day off. The pedicure chairs are so comfortable and the customized massages are top notch. This salon is very clean and plays very soothing music in the background. An awesome plus that I just discovered today is that they serve champagne,red and white wine! I recommend making a appointment but I always come in as a walk in on week days and have never had a problem getting in right away.Thanks again for letting me enjoy my day off just the way I love too! They're so sweet here. I liked how my gel nails were kept thin. And I loved the colors of my nails, even tho there wasn't much selection. But after 5 days, my white gel mani is turning tan/brown hue. I started googling and it said that it could be the quality of top coat used. Makes me kind of sad because they're close to home. But I'll be looking for another place now. Read Less

My niece and I went to get our nails done December 30 and the guy (maybe manager) that works there made fun of us as we walked in and all his nail people laughed too cause we did not answer him. Actually, we had no idea he was talking to us so he kept saying "HOLA HOLA you speak -e English?" I was upset and still am after my friend wanted me to recommend a place i thought hmmm i forgot to write a review on this place. This discrimintaory guy needs to know that you CANNOT discriminate in order to maintain a business. I understand accents and I do not have one (second generation american) nor could I make out that he was speaking to us motioning we were next. His treatment of making fun of people who he thinks speak Spanish is horrible since this is a business. YOU do NOT make fun of people. FYI my niece and I were not speaking Spanish we were catching up since we had no seen eachother on years speaking...English. Just because our skin is brown and we have brown eyes, and brown hair he assumed we spoke Spanish then he laughed and all the girls laughed. This place needs to close they are discriminatory against brown skinned people who walk through the door. After he made fun of HOLA we left. FYI. business owner- the area where you have your business is 60%- 70% Hispanic read the demographics if you can read in English but hey I am NOT assuming nor am I judging. No but seriously, he was wrong for doing that and in all my years I have never witnessed this nor have I been of victim of this treatment until now. This place is now called Crystal's nails. Total fail. I wanted a pedicure and I asked how long the wait would be and they said 20 minutes. 40 minutes later I was still waiting. I ended up leaving and will never go back. Bad customer service to tell every person that walks in that it is a 20 Minute wait when it's more like an hour. Tip to business: Be honest with a prospective customer, you are more likely to earn their long-term business this way, rather than saying what you think they want to hear. Read Less

Today was my first time at this place and i loved it! Did a spa mani&pedi. Total was 53.00 w/ acrylics so not too bad. Pedicure looks amazing and i love it! If youre going to get spa pedi get it done wih Kay! Full set was done by Annie & she did an amazing job! All in all, this is defiintely the place I'll be going to from now on! I went one day with my girls to get a Mani and a pedi. There were only two girls working so I thought they were not gonna be able to take us. Next thing you know they pick up the phone and out of nowhere a girl crawls out of the back seat of a parked car. She apparently was napping and just waiting for customers. This was really weird. So she comes in all groggy and mad ready to work on me. I did not stay. If people wanna nap during work hours it is not a well ran business. What a turn off  :( Read Less

Okay so it has been a while since I actually went to this salon but I was just reading an article about how unsanitary some nail salons are and it reminded me of my time at this place. I went to this place because it is close to my house and I really needed a pedicure. There were 2 people getting pedicures it looked like a father and daughter. I was the only one waiting. When the man finished his pedicure he got up from the spa chair, the woman summoned my over to the same chair immediately. She wasn't even going to sanitize the tub before she started my pedicure. I questioned her about it and she had me sit in another chair which probably hadn't been cleaned either. I should have just left the place but instead I stayed.
