I really wanted to love this place because our experience started off so positive. We called for two last minute appointments the week of Christmas. They were able to fit both of us in that morning. The salon was full, but we were seated immediately. The manicurists worked with us to pick out colors and designs for our Christmas gel manicures. Everything seemed great and we left the salon very pleased. However, on the third day after getting the gels, the outside of our nails began to lift and peel. I have never had a gel manicure last so short and was highly disappointed as they barely even made it through Christmas! Price of $30 was reasonable but not for this quality. The first time I came here, i was extremely happy leaving, my mani and pedi were both great, and everyone there was nice. However when i came back the second time, everyone seemed like they didn't want to be there. Me and my friend started at the same time, and after her nail technician put the foil on her nails, a new girl walked in, asked for any openings, and the nail girl doing my friends nails said that she could take her, and proceeded to leave my friend there waiting, and never came back! My nail technician was clearly telling her in Chinese that she needed to finish my friends nails, but she just ignored her! Even though she was only one chair away! On top of that, while my nail girl was trying to get her to come finish my friends nails, she was too preoccupied telling her that she ripped off a huge part of my cuticle, that bled from then on and didn't even stop once we left the salon, and it still looks really bad. Horrid visit, and i will never be coming back, i would never want to have a repeat of that salon visit, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Visited Modern Nail Spa with no appointment on a late Tuesday morning! They took us right away! My mom got a pedicure and I got a gel manicure. We finished around the same time. I really appreciated that he put more than two coats on my nails as the polish was really thin. Very very satisfied with my experience here! Definitely recommend! Do not come here. The appointment started off bad as I had called in and was told my appointment time. When i showed up I waited 35 minutes past and 2 walk ins were taken ahead of me. When doing my fill I was burnt twice by the drimmel tool and had to tell her to stop. Then when i showed her a coffin shaped nail with minor art she said no and did square nails and said she couldn't do the art. I was told a fill was $20 yet she charged me $25 for something i didn't even want. After another $5 cash tip since they only take cash tips I paid $30 for crap. It's now been less than 24 hours and I have 2 broken nails and one is cracked. The polish is uneven and i'm glad i didn't waste the extra $10 on gel polish since now i need to go get a completely new set. I've never had nails this bad and should have just driven to my normal salon an hour and a half away. I could go 8 weeks between with none broken yet what she left me with here couldn't even last a day. Read Less

While I would love to give this place 5 stars for the fabulous job Tim did on my acryclics... I just can't seem to do it.I went there this evening for a pedicure and left completely disgusted. A woman was giving me my pedicure and upsold me on the callus treatment. She pulled out the metal cheese grader looking thing and went to town. The moment I saw her bring it out, I was hesitant because I normally don't let places scrub my feet due to sanitary reasons. Also, when I had my acrylics done prior, they did a great job and I was totally satisfied overall. Well when she finished grading my feet, she took the metal grader to the sink, used soap and water to clean it, then sits down and the other lady uses it on my friends feet!!! I feel so disgusted. I absolutely love this place! I went about 3 weeks ago and got acrylics. I haven't had acrylics in over 10 years. I also had a pedicure. The atmosphere was so relaxing and enjoyable. I did not even have an appointment I just called before I came in and they got me right in even though they were very busy. It was absolutely spectacular! I am totally hooked I just went back-to have my acrylics filled in and I'm even more pleased the 2nd time around these guys are just the absolute best! True artists. This nail salon is the absolute best! 3 weeks ago I went in to get some acrylics for Comic-Con. I got beautiful unicorn nails and a wonderful pedicure. I did not even make an appointment, just called before I headed in and they were able to squeeze me in. It was great.I just went in to get my acrylics filled in and I am even more thrilled the 2nd time around. Mermaid nails! This nail salon is the absolute best! This is my first time ever going here, it was recommended to me by a coworker. I was a walk-in but was seated immediately. Everyone was super nice and it seemed like such a warm environment. They know their customers by first name and know about their lives. Tony worked on my actylic nails and did an amazing almond shape, and then Tim painted them (he's a great artist, will def be going to him for other designs) and Tiana did my pedicure at the same time. She's such a sweet girl; I had gross callouses from work and she got rid of them without a complaint. I tipped each one individually because they were all just so great. Read Less

So ladies and gentlemen lets talk nails.  I've been to this location twice the first time was excellent.  From what I see this location has 3 great nail techs.  The one I had today was horrible.  When it comes to nails and spas the whole point is the atmosphere of being pampered.  This shown through the daily rapport, the massage, the cutting of cuticles, nails and any other upgrade we purchase as consumers.  On the first point of daily rapport there was no conversation besides face slapping orders and mumbling to herself.  The massage was awful the tech literally got a rag looked away and wiped up and down my legs not even touching my toes or feet.  FYI this is a pedicure.  The cuticle and nail trimming was god awful she was lucky I even paid here for that treatment.  I came in earlier than usual so my nails were in great shape.  She trimmed them all jagged like.  Left portions of untreated cuticles everywhere.  There was a point this tech would start trimming her own nails.  This is my time. Don't even get me started on color.  Gross as fuck she needs glasses.  Had her remove it. The 3 stars is based on the average of visits.  If it was not for this tech this place would be 5 stars.  Beware. Read Less

I made an appointment for 230, getting there 5 ladies were in front of me. I didn't mind I understand things can be backed up. I get into a chair finally within 30mins and they didn't add sanitizer to the tub for a pedicure until my feet were in it for over 20 minutes. By this time they still haven't started me.So the man starts and gave me by far the quickest pedicure of my life. I think it was less than 12 minutes. No cuticles no cutting my nails I had to ask him to please file my nails.The lady comes to do my hands and she does not cut my cuticles or file them either.I was so shy to speak upI've never been hereSo I felt uncomfortable being a pest.I wish they would have gave me a little more time and effortUnfortunately I will not be back Read Less
