I used to go here all the time but the last 2 times have been less than desirable.I had an afternoon off from work so I went to get a pedicure and I was thinking of Getting a design just to add an extra perk. The gal ( Kathy ) who did my nails was notVery friendly and she watched a show on her phone or was doing something on her phone.She was not attentive at all and I felt I was bothering her , I get it...not an easy job. I make an appointment after being referred by a girlfriend who frequents this nail salon. Upon arrival, I waited 5 minutes for a chair to open up, and my pedicure promptly began. The salon was packed, which is always a good sign. The nail technician, Jenny, was amazing! She took her time, gave a pretty lengthy leg massage with my pedicure, and was super friendly and pleasant. I had gotten a bad pedicure weeks prior that resulted in a painful ingrown nail (I'm not prone to them). Not fun at all. Jenny was gentle, thorough, and gave me advice on how to instruct future nail technicians to avoid that again. I booked another appointment with her before even leaving the salon. Great experience! ***Only complaint is that their regular nail polish selection is very limited. If you are looking for gel, then you'll have tons of options. I've been coming to this salon for my pedicures for a long time and have always been extremely pleased, but I just started coming here for my gel manicures, after going to a couple of other places for my manicures and not really being happy I figured why not go to Creative nails, and just like with my pedicures they do an amazing job. They take their time and do quality work. I don't why I took so long to come here for my gels but don't make the same mistake I did, go to Creative Nails for your mani, pedi's. If you will note the other 2 five star reviews on here from 2years and 4years ago, I too LOVED this Salon a few years ago. In fact I have been going here for 7years!!! Unfortunately the new management is TERRIBLE. Not only did my favorite people leave but the new nail artists they have are rude and don't listen. The owner specifically is the reason I will not go back. He is an older man and he doesn't listen at all. When he was removing my acrylics I told him numerous times that he was filing my nail down too low. MY ACTUAL NAIL! The acrylic nail was gone. He refused to listen and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. My nails are now SO thin that they continue to tear and cut down all the way past my nail bed! It is extremely painful! It has been 3 weeks and I haven't been able to get them to grow above my nail bed because my entire nail is so thin! I have to wear band aids on all my fingers to protect them from getting ripped off or cutting deeper. It is more than just disliking the service now. I am in physical pain because of his dismissive attitude towards a customer.Read Less

I've been going to Creative Nails consistently for over two years now.  I've have yet to be disappointed.  They are always accommodating with my schedule and special nail design requests.  I change from acrylics to gel to gel builder; its must be hard for them keeping up with my changes but they do it and always with a smile.A couple of new faces this summer since some of the girls are moving on and opening their own shops.  But the great nail designers remain with a couple of new young faces for design  flares.Nancy (only on saturdays) for pedicures/Jenny's good tooIvy for gel nails is greatSon is great on acrylicsIt's always nice going in and everyone smiles because they know you and they know your name. The only place I will go!  I have been going to Creative Nails since I was 16 years old... I am now 24.  It is the best price around Ventura County and you get a LOT for your buck!!  Ivy is the only person I will go to for acrylics or fills!  However, Jenny is amazing at them as well!  I go to Jenny for manicures and pedicures!  I always schedule an appt before hand and always have the best of service! Poor customer service and greeting. States online and printed on door sign " walk ins welcome." I walked in and sat down and said I needed a fill I'll wait. The gentleman in the front stated "I don't have anyone to fill your nails and I have 4 appointments that are coming in, sorry. Here's our card you can call us later." OMG.  I had an out of town guest.  She and I went to get a basic manicure.  My gal was okay, but my friend's manicurist was a disaster.  She was up set over something. And she cried, sniffled and wiped her runny nose on he sleeve.  This continued thru the whole 1/2 hour.  No mention of an apology for this behavior, or financial compensation.  It really was the worst manicure. A mix of young hip people who travel from the surrounding areas just to come to this hot spa while those from Leisure Village rock right in. While I had my nails done   Kim the wonder woman took great care with my 95 year old dad.  Surrounded by beautiful women, he took to a chair and dropped his feet into the warm water then heat was applied to his hands.  Gently she took his hands and relaxed him and soothed him.He was overwhelmed with the care they took of him.  Kim is gentle and caring.  But keep an opening for my dad.
