I just moved to Burlingame and really wanted to like this salon. I've tried twice, the experience was identical both times. The time spent on my nails was minimal, lots of shuffling around, three different technicians working on my nails depending on who can fit in the next phase. Gel was applied sloppy resulting in bumps. My toenails were not cut properly, will need another pedi in a week. This place is ok, I wasn't too impressed but that could be the lady that I got. I came in for a quick lunchtime manicure bc my usual place is too far for lunch hour. The lady seemed unenthused, kept chatting with the other ladies in a different language. Seemed annoyed when I asked for water and if the chair had a massager. Just overall not the best experience. I had 4 nails that needed SNS gel removal and was charged $5 for that. I would go back simply bc it is so close to my job and only if I really need to. Read Less

This is the worst nail place I have ever been to! I was given a gift certificate by two of my attorneys I support for professional's day. I called and tried to make an appointment, the girl that answered the phone either didn't understand or didn't care and hung up on me. I called again, made an appointment. The minute I got there, 4 of the beautician's while doing my nails and other customers, didn't stop talking (in their language) the whole time I was there.  Not only do I find this rude but it's not relaxing AT ALL! I was highly disappointed in how they treat their customers. What I hate the most is that they are talking about their own customers and they think we don't understand! Soooo rude! Used to come here frequently and would regret it automatically every time. I've kept going because Their location is very convenient for me. There are way too many nail places near by for them not to try their best with every service. I stand on my feet all day, so when I go for a pedicure I see it as a relaxing experience. I get one every three weeks- and it's quite the opposite. Massages are horrible here. Scrubbing under feet( even when asked) are horrible. They have loud conversations the entire time. I work at a salon, and out of respect I don't have convos with my coworkers the entire time while I have a client in my chair. Disappointed. Read Less

The woman who did my mani was in a big hurry. One of the other women working there had to remind her to do the paraffin treatment that the deluxe treatment comes with. She had to remove the base coat to do the treatment. She rushed through every step. The paint job is mediocre. I won't be going back. The only reason I gave the place 2 stars is because it's clean . Was unable to make it to my regular manicurist and thought I would take a chance at this location. Jennifer not only did a lovely job on my manicure but was very friendly and a wonderful conversationalist. Vicki was patient and focused in her execution of one of the best pedicures I've experienced. Based on a couple of the negative reviews, they obviously listed, because the staff were all wearing name badges. My only critical observation is the owner, although on top of the operation, could be warmer and more engaging. The cost for a mani-pedi is reasonable, and the shop is nicely appointed, love the music, and the beautiful orchids displayed throughout the shop. This could be my future go to place- especially on the days Jennifer and Vicky are working. Read Less

I recently moved to this new area and needed to find a place that does good mani and pedi. I yelped around and found this place so I decided to give it a try. I called the same day and was able to get a same day appointment for 2:30 on a Friday.It was not busy at all and there was no greeting. I told the workers that I have an appointment and they plainly said "pick a color". So I did. They got the pedi chair ready for me and the lady that I got didn't wear a name tag. But she was so grumpy and rude. On top of it, she was really rough and I told her to just file it down, no cutting. She STILL went ahead to do it. Another older customer walked in and she immediately left me as I sat there with the paraffin boots. I didn't mind that but she left me for 30 whole mins while she worked on another client. The lady who did my french gel mani was named Candy. She was really sweet and nice. Maybe I'm just OCD but the white tips on my nails were not straight at all. The lines that she made were really thick and it just didn't look natural. Granted, I did ask for my tips to be thicker but other salons were able to do it and still made it look natural. She messed up on my thumb and middle finger but she really tried her best to fix it. I had to leave the salon and told her it was fine. When I got home and washed my hands, I noticed that my cuticles were over-picked and I had to refile my nails to make it more square. Now I'm just curious to see how long my gel will last. But overall, I don't think I will return because the prices are too expensive for the quality that they deliver. Read Less

They did a great job for my mani-pedi before the holiday. Quality job and it lasted nicely. I found out they charge less if you use cash, which was surprising, as much a $6.00 less on my bill, so I'll bring cash next time. Came here 3 times so far and they have always been a success. The ladies here really take care of you and your nails. After a hot wax and exfoliation session, they start cutting and cleaning the cuticles with care and attention. No cuts and bleeding here. They have a nice range of colors and the results are always neat and nice. If they are not swamped they take walk-ins or you can schedule an on spot appointment and wait at the Starbucks just next door.Read Less
