Paul is a pro at body wave perms. Worth every penny! I highly recommend him.I am Asian so have always had very straight flat hair. Since I recently had a baby, I wanted to get a body wave perm so I could just wash my hair and go instead of spending hours blow drying. A close friend of mine has been going to Paul for years so I thought I'd give him a try. I have suffered prior trauma from bad perms in the past when I told the stylist my hair curls very easily and they wouldn't listen to me so I ended up coming out looking like my Taiwanese mom. Not cool (no offense to my mom). I expressed this to Paul and he reassured me he would check every 10 min. If the curl took, he would immediately neutralize the solution and take the rollers out. He also did not curl the hair to the roots because this is what makes it look like older Asian moms. I was a little skeptical until I saw the final product and boy was I happy!It's been a few weeks now so the curl has relaxed a little but still looks very natural. My extremely long hair which fell flat before is now full of body and looks great. I don't have to do much with it which is even better. Definitely going back to see Paul when the curls need to be refreshed with a new perm. This place provides 5 star service from an experienced stylist and all for an incredibly reasonable price. I called on this number given on the yelp page, there was no answer and I think business number was forwarded to some 415 area code. Called next day same thing. I drove there to get an appointment. Walked in, didn't see anyone not a single person. Someone walked in must be an old client and person who works there came out of the back room. I mentioned I Called she said I forwarded my business to her cell phone. No sorry no nothing. I asked I need a eye lashes tint, which takes 15 or 20 mins. She is not available till Sat. I would like to start off my review with how amazed I was to finally have found my eyelash extension expert! No joke. I have been to several other locations but Joanne did a superb job on my volume lashes! Not to mention she was very flexible and accommodating with my last minute request to have a full set of extensions on the same day! A lot of other places are normally fully booked on the day of but she happen to have a cancellation and I was able to book my appt. the same day. Talk about great customer service. Joanne is awesome to work with she is very easy to talk to and explained what she was going to accomplish with my lashes. She paid extra attention to detail and was efficient and precise in her application of the extensions. She was fast and efficient. I was amazed at the overall outcome and I'm happy to say I have finally found a place I would call my permanent go to for eyelash extensions. Look no further! You will not be disappointed and I will definitely be a permanent repeat customer. She offers other services but I can happily say I will be a repeat customer for as long as Joanne is in business! If you are thinking about eyelash extensions, are hesitant about them, or are looking for someone who you can trust with something so fragile, Joanne is your girl! I had eyelash extensions before, but decided to give my lashes a breather and stopped for a few months. A coworker of mine had then started seeing Joanne and I could not stop staring at the beautiful, fluttery things.I have the volume set and it is worth every penny. Joanne is not only personable and friendly, but takes her time to give you the lashes you will love. She listens and is very meticulous. The first session for a full set will take 1.5-2 hours. This was the first time I've ever gotten eyelash extensions and I've found the perfect place. I came across Home on Yelp and was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. It's a small shop that also does mani/pedi's and haircuts by appointment as well. Joanne is the name of the eyelash tech and I gotta say that she did a great job. The facility was clean and easy to find. Street parking is available earlier in the day. Joanna helped pick the right lashes that suited me and the look I wanted to achieve. Joanne is awesome! I never had lash extensions and really wanted to try it before we went on vacation. I was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful they looked. She did a great job on knowing what looked right on me, she was fast and also got me in on her day off which was very accommodating. Joanne is very talented and it shows in her work. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of how expensive it was. I had asked friends who have had this done (at different places) so I had an idea of the price range. The initial cost was a lot more than I had expected- I know I should have asked when I made the appointment but I did not expect it to be so expensive. Although the lash extensions have made getting ready in the morning a breeze and I love the way I look without make-up, this will have to be more of a treat when I have an event or a vacation coming up.Overall if you are looking for lash extensions, Joanne is the one! I've never worn fake eyelashes nor have I ever had eyelash extensions done on me because naturally I have long lashes. I decided that I wanted to give it a try because I was heading out on vacation for two weeks and I absolutely did not want to wear makeup and wake up every morning to apply mascara. I searched around on yelp and read so many great reviews about Home salon and Joanne and let me tell you it is all true! Joanne was wonderful and gave me the results I really wanted. Long, voluminous, and dark! My eyelash extensions have been on for 2 weeks now and survived the humidity of Rome, Italy. Only about 3 pieces of eyelash extensions fell off and it does not even show. The glue is amazing and strong just make sure you don't rub your eyes hard, use oils on your lashes, or apply mascara on the extensions. Also, if you've heard about extensions pulling off your natural eyelashes, its not true at all. Your lashes have a natural cycle of falling off every week or 2 so do not worry. I've been going to Joanne for years for eyebrow tattooing, even when she was in South San Francisco before she moved to Burlingame. My sister also goes to Joanne for her sparse eyebrows too.Joanne has ALWAYS done a fantastic job on my eyebrows. Unfortunately, I completely lost my eyebrow hair years ago from over-plucking as a teen. I've always been really self-conscious about my eyebrows having no hair, but Joanne has always made them look at natural as possible.I went in today for a touch-up, and WOW, Joanne has a new trendy (hair stroke) technic that makes it look like you have hair!!! It's no longer just a solid tattoo. I'm amazed, once again, at her work! Shes very meticulous, and I love that about her because they look fantastic! But this time, it looks like I have eyebrow hair! I haven't seen that in years! LOL!I will continue to go to Joanne FOREVER as long as I need my eyebrows done... :) She always takes care of her clients wants and needs. I highly recommend her! I'm happy to say that Joanne was very accommodating as I'm notorious for scheduling last minute appointments due to my hectic schedule. I've always heard stories about lash appointments lasting over two hours, which made me a bit nervous, but not with Joanne! I just got a full set of lashes done at Home salon and cannot emphasize how happy I am with how it turned out. I called this place to ask about their lash extension service and found out that they are currently promoting a full lash set special for only $125 (originally $175) by Shirley, a "junior" lash extension specialist.I was at first hesitant, but ultimately decided that I could not turn down this offer. Shirley was extremely professional and made my experience comfortable (I even feel asleep for a portion of it!). I was extremely surprised at the results and honestly wouldn't even consider Shirley a "junior" analyst given the great turnout. I've had my lashes done elsewhere, but Shirley has done a far better job than any other salon I've been to. I'm definitely coming back and hope to capture this deal again while it lasts! Read Less

What an amazing experience! Off the bat, I was greeted with a warm welcome. Even though you generally have to schedule very far in advance, I called Saturday morning and she took me Saturday evening. This was my first time getting my eyelashes done, and I'm so pleased. It didn't take too long, and the end results were stunning. It's like I'm a whole new person. Joanne is awesome! She's quick, efficient and great at what she does. Had a lash fill and now my lashes are big + fluffy. Ahhhhh! I've had extensions elsewhere and they don't last as long compared to Joanne's sets. Lash Spot SF was the first place I tried and the lashes fell off in droves despite careful maintenance and sleeping like an unmoving corpse. Artisan Lashes are great but $$$ ($80 for fill and over $200 for a regular set). Parking also sucks for them.Even if you're not in the area, make a trek to see Joanne. Workmanship and pricing will make you VERY happy you did. Read Less

I am notorious for making last minute appointments. My schedule is pretty busy so it is very difficult to schedule things in advanced. I just started doing eyelash extensions 3 months ago and I always "liked" them but I was never in "love" with them... Until I met Joanne.I had a really busy work week and I was leaving town the next day and I needed my eyelashes done. My regular girl was on vacation and I was calling around all day to find someone. Everyone was booked, which was to be expected, or was ridiculously expensive, which I wasn't having and just when I had given up... I got a response from Joanne. She accommodated me last minute. OMG, just left my first lash appointment at Joanne's Salon, HOME.  This was amazing!  I have been in search for an awesome lash place after moving from Dallas and finally, it's taken 2 years but I have found my new salon!  I came in wanting to get the volume lashes to test for my upcoming wedding and I couldn't be happier.  I am addicted and can't wait to come back in 3 weeks for a fill :-D = happy me!It's worth every second and dollar, plus you can eat Shabu Shabu or Prime Rib afterward!!I would recommend Joanne and her services to everyone.
