Oh, Painted Nail Bar how I want to love you. CESIA is the reason I kept going back because she is the bomb at acrylics and the reason for my 3 stars. Her shapes and designs are always on point. Unfortunately she left on maternity leave and now I'm trying to find another nail salon. Yes, there's two other girls that do acrylics there but not as well (in my opinion). The pedicure chairs are cute but not cushiony nor have a massage option. This place seems more like a manicure/ gel manicure type spot. The pedicures and toe polish changes I've had there are subpar and I could tell another girl was talking bad about me in Armenian to another girl the last time I was there. So first off the ladies are really nice and the establishment is gorgeous but I only asked for a manicure with a clear top coat and it's only been two days and it peeled off! :( I also have these ridges on my nails from peeling off gel polish and I asked her if she could buff it out and she said it was just my nail which it clearly wasn't. This place is really cute and have given them a chance but they just don't know how to do gel nails after 3 days everytime they peel... and they don't scrape the skin off the bottom of your foot when they do a pedicure... 5 Stars because I think the ladies are the sweetest and their salon is beautiful. Great selection of colors and the place is spotless and they are very clean with their tools. They even offer you a beverage on the house, so cute. Mimosa. Water. I forgot the other one, maybe a soda.2 Stars because I believe from my first experience with this Salon and observing their work while getting mine done, they may be better and skilled at regular Gel Manicures and pedicures.  I normally get acrylic sets and pretty designs, which brings me to why I am upset and will not return for my nails, maybe a pedicure once in a while.First let me say I have been getting my nails done for 15 years now.  Ive had worse experiences but this is my first in LA.  I am trying to find my go-to salon, but i have yet to find it.  Ive only been in LA for 3 months, new California resident originally from the East Coast.  My nails usually last me four weeks before I have to go back and still fully intact with the most beautiful designs.  It was hard to leave my nail tech! Wish I could have taken her with me.I asked for an acrylic fill stiletto shaped with a gray and pink glitter ombre design, showed a picture to the nail tech.  I am absolutely sensitive and I get hurt easily when techs are not gentle with their tools.  She was super sweet and light handed and did not hurt me at all. When all was said and done tho .. the technique of her design did not go very well ... it was an amateur paint job and sloppy with the fill. I let it go though and decided I will just wait until I come back to do something less difficult and maybe just an OFF day for her.2 days later, my polish starts to chip in all different places, and they were so thin that they were falling apart.  I called in to have them fixed on the 4th day, they told me to come in no problem.  They asked if I wanted to change the polish, i decided to do so since i didnt really like the original, $16 for the fix n polish change.  I was with a different nail tech, not an issue because I wanted to see her skills.I explained what was wrong, showed her which nails needed to be really fixed to save them from breaking too far down my nail bed.  As she starts taking off the polish .. i already flinch from the pain.  I made her aware. .. i am very sensitive please lower the machine speed and be more gentle.  Didnt change the speed but she tried to be a little more gentle, she hurt me a few more times.  Then when she starts applying more acrylic, I asked her to make it thicker. It cant be thin or else it will just continue to break. She didnt listen at all to my advice to make them thicker.  I asked for more, she did a super thin layer, and just filed it right back off, so back to square one with super thin acrylic filled nails.  I reach for anything, they start to bend and break. Annoying. So I asked her to polish my full nail instead, and do an ombre glitter from the top. Showed her a picture. Terrible outcome. I was just so frustrated I didn't even care anymore I just wanted to leave the salon.Next day, the same two nails I had an issue with, BROKE. Like I knew they would. I cut them all myself now and filed them to a short round square.  Ill be looking for my next salon to start all over again.I have nothing against this salon, but they are not too skilled yet.  They need more time to learn, especially with acrylic and Im going to assume even UV Gel.  If you cant do a good job with acrylic, UV is even more difficult.Stick with them for a normal gel manicure and pedicure. That seems to be where they are great at, which is just not for me. Too bad, because I loved everything else about their place and definitely wanted to become a regular. This was my first visit to Painted Nail Bar and I will definitely be back. Pluses include: parking lot, convenient location, super cute interior decor, very friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable prices. They also offered me coffee or water, and had Halloween candy out. :) Another big plus is that they give you a stamp card so that your 10th manicure is free. (I really hope that includes gel manicures.)I used Yelp to "check-in" and received a $5 discount on the regular pedicure/gel manicure - total price was $45 after the coupon. This is slightly cheaper than my regular place, and the mani/pedi is just as great; I left very happy with my mani/pedi. I didn't get any designs on my nails, just straight polish.The one, tiny negative is that their bathroom needs attention - it wasn't really clean, they were out of paper towels, a bucket  and brush were left out on the floor. It just didn't match up with the rest of the salon, which is really nice and clean. I will definitely be back to Painted Nail Bar and look forward to becoming a regular. :) Read Less

Honestly I'm not sure how to even start this! Cesia did the most amazing job on my stiletto nails. I'm sooo picky and she perfected them. She paid such close attention to detail and she was really gentle. Not to mention super sweet! The salon was really clean too, the tools were in a sealed one use package which she opened in front of me. I enjoyed my time here as the owners are very, very sweet. It is also very close to my house. However, I asked for a neutral ombré like the ones in the Yelp photos and my girl couldn't quite nail it. I get acrylics and they are already thicker than natural nails, by default. But my girl put two coats of gel on top of my nails which was fine, but when I realized the ombré wasn't coming out how I invisioned, she ended up having to cover up what she did with a third coat, so my nails came out tremendously thick! They look fine from a distance but the work is just mediocre at best. I have the worst time finding really GOOD nail salons with very talented technicians. If anyone is reading this and can refer me to a nail salon that does FLAWLESS work in the Burbank, Glendale, or Beverly Hills area, please do me a favor and message me with the salon's name and phone number so I can give them a call because I'm tired of being hustled by nail salons that do beginner level work and I have to turn around and pay top dollar for garbage. Beautiful facility and pleasant staff but suffering from "opening issues". Made my appointments on line, received not only a confirmation but the an approval the next day, showed up on time and they had no clue we were coming. One of waited 20 mins past the appointment before they started and then 40 mins after my appointment, they came to start and I told them to forget it. Amy was wonderful I had back surgery 4 weeks ago and couldn't sit to well on the chair had to have a pillow for my back so when she was working on my feet and I couldn't elevate my legs cause the were cramping she act went out of her way to accommodate me. I felt so bad about it. Read Less

I love everything about this place! The different lotions to choose from, the neck rubs while your hands/feet are drying, and even the way their towels smell!
