I think just about every place in my neighborhood, I also tried Glendale, was pretty booked because of the start of school. So of course, I get it, everyone is busy. You know you aren't going to have a great experience when you walk into a salon and no one greets you. I wanted to turn around but decided against it. After waiting around for a bit the receptionist asked me what services I was interested in getting and informed me who would be taking care of me. After choosing my polish, I made eye contact with the girl she told me was going to be helping me. I asked her if I should sit she said, "no it's not my turn." Unbelievable, I thought but the receptionist informed her that it was her turn again. Another sign to turn around but I really needed my mani/pedi. So I sat down in the chair and put my feet in the water, it was ice cold! As you could imagine I was not a happy camper but the technician turned on the hot water to warm the water. Then the drain kept falling off so I had to switch seats while my feet were wet. Just not a happy camper at this point. I am sure that this was the point of no return and I realized that my experience here would not be good. I accepted it and just made a mental note that I would not be returning. My nails were ok but I can see where she cut corners and I just wasn't happy about it but left a tip anyway. I am sure I won't be returning to this Nail Garden. Read Less

Decided to give this location a try because I have been to another nail garden. Sadly this was a disappointing trip to the nail salon. Poor selection of colors, rushed service and no genuine interest in making it a pleasurable experience. They cut me while performing my manicure and didn't even apologize! I've been happy in the past because they've been able to work with my schedule. I travel quite a bit and always have time to pray think when I'm gonna get my nails done. I get gels for that reason. I'm always looking for a place that I can know was reliable and does a good job.I'd love to give them a good review, but the last time I was in there I waited five minutes for the receptionist to acknowledge me. I have been going here for several years and have noticed a high turn over in the staff.  I recognized 2 of the original staff and 2 from the last year.  As for the receptionist it's a revolving door.  The receptionist this last Saturday at 2pm takes the cake.  She was a hot mess! Asked me my name 6 different times as she shouted and pointed at me from across the way.  Never offered my daughter or I anything to drink.  I had to ask my manicurist for some water. In addition to her loud and obnoxious demeanour with her boobs hanging out of her tank top (which she was clear to tell her friend, but EVERYONE could hear she got at wal-mart) I could see and hear the frustration with the staff when a group of ladies came in for services.  She couldn't get the appointments straight, the staff was confused as to who and what services they were to provide.  She continued to to point and call out names trying to sort herself out.  Once that was settled she hung out in the back talking to her friend (getting a service) oblivious to everything else going on around her.  When it was time to check out she could barely get through the process and again asked me my name.  Horrible customer service, terrible communication skills amongst the staff (I feel for those girls).  Here's a thought...get a good receptionist that represents what you want people to remember and pay them well so you don't loose them.  I work in the beauty industry and this was ridiculous! I have been going to Nail Garden for 9 years. I faithfully go every 3 weeks for gel fill and garden deluxe pedicure. I love Layla and Melissa. I was there yesterday and to my surprise I learned that they have discontinued the senior discount !!! Now I am retired for over 3 years and they offered all the studios a discount and I benefited from that as I worked at a nearby studio. The receptionist told me they were giving discounts to WB employees only. Hardly fair! I am disappointed in Nail Garden and hope they bring back the discountIf you are going to delete a discount don't pick and choose who gets it. I've tried this place more then a handful of time off the recommendation of others. But I have to say not 100% happy. They seem to rush through their work. Because there is a line out the door of people waiting to get done. I have made an apt and waited 30 mins to get done. And almost walked out. They are under staffed and therefore cannot do quality work. My nails chipped within 2 days. And that was with a gel manicure. This place has potential. Just not there yet. Read Less

Today was my first visit for a mani/pedi at Nail Garden. I found this location on yelp and after reading all the 5-stars and how clients raved about a nail technician named Tina I decided to give it a try. The nail salon is classy, clean, nicely maintained and decorated, professionally ran, and a relaxing atmosphere. They also offered complimentary drinks (water, soda, cappuccino, etc) which I thought was pretty cool. After requesting Tina I walked away refreshed with a teal... manicure with silver fading glitter on the tips and a cherry blossom nail decoration which is Tina's signature (a nice touch!). I really appreciated her honesty, openness, and attention to detail and exactly what I wanted. The owner, Tony was very professional and happy to tell me that they not only offer 15% teacher discount but student and military discounts as well. I took my 4-year-old to get a mani and pedi and was very impressed by this place. Not only is it child friendly, but the work Nancy did on her was worth the money. Since I live in Toluca Woods, it was very convenient for me to check out this nail salon. Very disappointing to say the least. The fancy massage chair was broken. The place was crowded and incredibly small. My pedicure was half assed and I could have done a better job myself! Save your money and find a better salon where you get your monies worth. This place is OVERPRICED and OVER RATED. I have been here quite a few times because it is close to my house, but I will never go here again. Paying close to 100 dollars for a standard full set and pedicure is ridiculous, especially when there is nothing special about the way they serve you. In fact the last time I went in to get my nails done the manicurist used the drimmel too close to my cuticles and they began to bleed. She did nothing but put some blue ointment on them and continue the manicure. My nails werent even done decently, within a couple of days the acrylics were already lifting and because the manicurist cut my nail beds the skin was peeling and scabbed and my hands looked disgusting. I have come to the conclusion that the only clientele they care about are the ""hollywood stars"" they brag about having as guests, and they could care less about all of its other patrons. Every time I would go in I would have to ask for the coffee that they are supposed to offer to you upon arrival, as well as up sell me on services (like callus removal) that I did not agree to. My conclusion is that this place is trendy, and for no good reason either. There are plenty of nails salons in Burbank who will do a better job on your nails for a lot less money. So why come here? Besides the fact that they're service is amazing, they have every in-style fashion for your nails in all of cali! Just to name some crazy cool features, they service OPI Gel (which is like polish but lasts you twice as long and doesnt ship or peel!), Minx, and all colors for acrylic powder!!! i have been going to different nail salons for many years and was never satisfied with the service. today after shopping at vons i was walking to starbucks for a drink and i noticed nail garden and thought i should walk in and check it out. at first i thought the prices were to much for something in burbank. and the receptionist audry helped me out leting me know the prices for each combo and was very friendly and wasnt rushing in explaining the details to me which was a ++. so i gave it a chance and loved how it was a spa chair and a quiet atmosphere as well as english only which was a major + i loved my mani pedi given by lee. plus wine ;] and will definately come back . .. thanks to friendly staff i dont have to look for other salons anymore. The manicurists were very attentive and professional. They started conversing with me and asking me how everything was which i found to be very helpful because they were so focused on my needs. I usually go to the Nail Garden in Studio City, but I live closer to this one in Burbank, so I decided to try it out. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and nice. She listened to what I wanted and how I like my nails done in. So i started with one of their nail techs who was also very sweet. This nail salon has got to be the best place! It was so crowded, that people were standing outside! I am so impressed by how organized everything was with all that chaos.
