Their instruments were extremely dull, they wear masks over their mouths so as not to breath in the dust from when they grind acrylic nails, so that makes it absolutely impossible to understand what they're saying, on top of their accent. I have been a long time customer. The ladies are excellent. Wendy, Amy and Nancy are really amazing women and they take the time to get to know you and build a relationship with you. The price is excellent for the service they provide. They also always remember what kind of style I like my nails to be as well as the shape of my eyebrows. Worst gel manicure I have gotten!A bride to be, bridesmaid and I came to get our nails done for the big day.  It was a weekday so we just walked in and they accommodated the 3 of us simultaneously.They brought out a bucket of water for my pedi when the spa chairs were available. I told them I wanted the chair, they said it was $3 more, no problem.An older lady did my feet and it was fine, although she did not put a base coat.Now, the lady that did my gel mani was the problem.    I told her my nails are kinda bumpy and she didn't do anything when most places file them down for me.  So when I put my polished nails on the UV machine, they didn't dry evenly. You can tell the polish quality wasn't as great. I told her politely and she got very irritated and after hesitating and trying a  quick fix, she started scraping the gel off my nails with her nails, no polish remover or anything.  She had to do this to a few of my nails.Since we were pressed with time, I didn't want to make a scene and delay the process any longer but it was very rude and unprofessional. No apologies, just attitude.My friends' nails came out ok, but this place is definitely not as most other salons (and I don't go to fancy ones or anything).  They ask you to get up and wash your hands before they put the polish on which is kinda inconvenient. They also nickel and dime you for everything: it is $15 for gel manicure (which doesnt really include the manicure, just the application of the polish) , $7 for the actual manicure, $12 regular pedicure, $3 if you want to sit in the spa chair, $1 for using a credit card... Plus, the gel mani started raising and coming off in less than 2 weeks when in other places it has lasted me at least 3...Never again. Read Less

Just not what I expected.  My Husband, my daughter and myself went to get mani/pedi's. I dont think they understood that my husband wanted his mani pedi also, and took the woman who came in after us. Not to mention we called 15 minutes before asking if they had space for the three of us. So my husband walked down the block to the other nail salon and is enjoying himself while my daughter an I sit here sweating swatting the flys away.  Maybe it's just an off day. But with so many nail salons to choose from, not going to be high on my list next time. Read Less

I have been customer of Tip Q nails for over 5 years. This past week I went to see Wendy who has done my nails for many years. When she turned and gave me an attitude because she failed to listen to what I wanted done. I ended up getting my 2 nails done correctly and left very displeased to say the least. I even said to her there is no need to get upset over 2 nails. I had even given her more of tip than normal. The owner Amy normally says bye well that day she didn't say a word. Terrible. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and no one helped me. After sitting and waiting for someone, anyone to assist me, I ended up leaving and going down a block to Golden Nails, which had much better customer service. OH and there was one customer getting her nails done and two employees...one employee was just sitting there watching Korean TV. Read Less

I love this nail salon!  It's right by my house, really inexpensive and they do a great job!  It's an older place and usually there are only two gals in there but they're always busy and I try to go first thing in the morning when they open (9am).  Sometimes they're not even there yet though so don't be in a hurry to be somewhere else.  :)  It doesn't look like the cleanest nail salon which I think has to do with the dated look, but I saw the girl put my tools in a UV Sanitizer after using them on me and as a licensed cosmetologist, that definitely made me feel better!  The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is because the massage isn't all that great during the mani/pedi.  Oh!  And I had some waxing done and the girl did a great job and the price was right! If you want an inexpensive but great manicures and pedicures...this is the place to come! You can get a full set starting at like 16 bucks! Most places I have to go back like every 2 weeks to get a fill, but with this place... I don't know how they do it... I don't have to go for about 3 weeks or so to get a fill! :) Read Less
