Think I've found a keeper. Dropped in today after a not so good experience at another nearby salon, and lucky for us, we were able to be seen right away by Isabel and Linda.  I've dropped in twice before and both times was told the wait would be 1 hour because they were so packed.We only had time for pedis which were completed to our liking, so we made appts to come back later today just before closing to finish off the experience on our nails. Came back with my teenage son in tow who was all but dragged in by a lasso and tractor. He had a great first pedi experience by Linda and left wanting to know how soon we were going back. I'd call that a success. As for my daughter and I, Isabel took the time to see us both although the appt was only for one and just before closing. This is my new go to in Antioch! Scheduled an appointment for a mani pedi & came in with my cousin. We were sat & taken care of immediately. I had brought in a photo of what I wanted and the girl matched my nails exactly & they didn't charge extra for the glitter design. I will never return to this place. Very rude and unprofessional owner and staff. They talk in their language amongst each other and laugh. You never know what their talking about. While getting my fills they would dig their nails into my hands.. Ouch! Also when they did my fills they left too much of a gap between my cuticle and the acyrilic fill so fill didn't last as long as it should have forcing me to go back in 2 weeks. They would always try to up sell me to gel which I see no reason to get and pay extra. Regular nail polish lasts just as long on acrylics. I would not recommend them. Love this place! I was recommended to go here by my aunt. Kim & Nina are amazing! But so are all the other ladies here. Love the atmosphere, very relaxing. Definitely not a "fast food" nail shop. Quality over quantity for sure! Next time you need your nails, pedi, eyebrow wax & eyelashes done. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I decided to go to this nail shop because of my recent experiences at another establishment. I was skeptical but after I checked out the reviews, I gained more confidence to try it out. The first time I scheduled an appointment, the staff member who answered the call did not jot down my info--so I had no appointment. Had I not called to cancel, I would have arrived and have had to wait to be seen. That wasn't a very good first experience but I didn't let that stop me from checking out the place. The service was impeccable and the nail techs did my mani/pedi VERY nicely! The place was clean, smelled great and they even offer WINE while you get pampered! LOVE IT! One thing I did not like though was how talkative the nail tech was, even after I told her I don't really enjoy all the chit chat while being pampered. She was very nice, though, so I gave her a pass. But one thing that really turned me off from this place was the fact that they expected me to tip. As I received my receipt after making the payment, the nail tech practically breathed down my back to make sure I would tip her. That was very unprofessional to me because CUSTOMERS DON'T HAVE TO TIP. I shouldn't have felt pressured to tip just because they provide great service; that's your JOB. You should want to take care of your clientele impeccably so that they actually want to return. The tipping experience made me not want to return to the establishment. Just a follow up--I went back to this place this past weekend for a fill and pedicure. Service was great (as it should be), but the end of my experience just turned me off completely. When paying for the services, the young woman who rang me up, Isabelle was her name, had the audacity to call me 'cheap' because I chose to get a regular pedicure, even after I tipped her and the other nail tech $5 each! Dude who did my nails was super rough and didn’t seem to care when I was in pain. One of my thumbs is sensitive to twisting and he twisted it so much and for so long that my thumb was sore all day. I get my nails done constantly and have never had that much pain inflicted. I even tried to show him a different position I could put my hand in to make it hurt less and he moved my hand back!!! I went to Royal nails today for the first time and took four family member there too for manicure and pedicure. I was told that they do a great job but what i experienced was the opposite. They are all very nice and sweet but thats about it i asked for natural looking medium length nails but the person doing them didn't feel like cutting them short so i ended with long, bulky and untidy looking nails. I also feel that they over charge people like i paid 100 something for 15mins pedi and rachet looking nails. The rest of my fam members didn't like it either, my aunts toe nails were untidy she also paid a hundred something. Never going back again! Read Less

I started going here and thought I would make it a regular place however no more.Its a smaller place and the pedis come out good. My problem with this place is they take forever!!! WARNING!!! Do NOT get you lashes done by KIM!!!Most traumatic experience I've ever had with a salon. I saw this place when I was looking for a nail salon by iCandy, where I normally get my lashes. I saved it because I saw a good price for what looked like good lashes in their pix. HUGE MISTAKE!!! Tracy was not there but they said they someone else could. Kim seemed nice enough. But that's about all the good I have to say. I should have ran out the shop the second I realized she was using SCOTCH TAPE on my eyes to put on lashes! The glue smelled super chemically. It also felt like she rushed it and was putting lashes in random places. After she peeled the scotch tape off, I opened my eyes and instantly could see the lashes like a hood over my eyes! I thought ok maybe just cuz they're fresh...nope!I should have turned around and made them take them off!The whole day I could feel the tar like glue they used causing my eyes to water and itch. Got home and checked closer and literally looked like she used tar! I get lashes to make me more confident and this just made me feel like a monster. I literally spent over an hour soaking my lashes with coconut oil and using steam and hot cloth to get them off! I'm lucky I even have a little bit of natural lashes left. I have followed Tracy and Henry for years and what made me follow them is that they were superb on their services whether it was nails or waxing.I have noticed Tracy has became very laxed and very nasty. You can't say you strive on customer service but you have a "whatever" approach on dealing with your customers. I use to tip big time , but I no longer even do that now. I just got my nails done yesterday because I couldn't make it to the nail salon I usually go to. And I had to correct Tracy on her laziness. Why is it only one half of my nail painted? It's like she thought I wasn't going to pay attention to the fact that the other side of my nail wasn't painted. I also noticed that prior to painting my nails, usually they will tell you to wash your hands, however that didn't happen this time. So now I've noticed there is just goop and junk stuck in my nail that I did bring to Tracy's attention who claimed that it will go away when I washed my hands. Here it is the next day after, and the stuff has yet to go away! Now it makes my finger look infected. I also have a problem with if my appointment is made and scheduled for 10am and you're clearly not doing anything why is it that we didn't start my nails until 1020?!!! It's like they have no regards to your schedule especially when they take forever to do your nails and pedicure. Their only saving grace is Hannah who does wonderful pedicures. This is horrible customer service "Tracy claims she's the owner " but has to take a class on how to be friendly and apologetic to the customer.! First time I went I had a good experience with a different girl who wasn't there this time .We went back in because I had a good experience the 1st time . Took my mom for her b day today and what a horrible experience I've had Tracy is  not friendly and can't seem to understand doesn't make eye contact when you are speaking to her or even showing her a picture of what my mom wanted . I had to let her know I didn't like the way she was acting . Then she was very rude by saying she had been there a long time etc ,. Ok whatever the girl who did my nails was a actually real nice and did a good job I got coffin nail short length . Mind you this is not even close to coffin but ok . They never mentioned it was extra until the bill came I asked her why mine was 40$ she said because mine are coffin!? Then she tried to show me her menu where it shows the extra charge.No where does it say that coffin nails are extra . It does say that for flare and pointy nails is an extra charge which I didn't have neither did my mom I ended up telling her that I will not be returning and nor will I tip her for her horrible customer service if you are the owner you want to ensure you are welcoming and friendly she's neither ! I did go on and pay her and tip the girl the actually was nice and friendly to me . No i will not return and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go through this when we are the paying customer I don't expect any kind of service for free but taking advantage of customers it's not ok and overcharging it's not ok either ! Don't get a full set here!!! I found this place on yelp and saw how pretty they do the ombre pink and white. I came on Friday to get a fullset by the male nail tech named Henry, I believe. The way they did the ombre was interesting. He prepped my nails, did pink acrylic powder, airbrushed white paint (which looked like regular acrylic paint that you get from a craft store), regular top coat, then gel top coat. Two days later, it started lifting and both of my thumb gel topcoats chipped off. I called the next day and the owner, Tracy, picked up. I told her about the problem and she said come in. I walked in and Tracy just stared at me and told Henry to come out. She did not take a look at my nails or anything. She's not nice and great like what the yelpers described. Henry came and put another coat of gel and told me he's done. Doesnt fix the lifting. He told me I'll need to get a fill in 2 weeks. No, I'm never coming back here. Spent $40 + $10 tip on a full set that did not even hold for two days. It hasn't been a week yet and my nails are so lifted... My hair keeps getting caught under it.
