REVIEW FOR NAILS - Decided to come here for the first time since it happened to be close to the UPS store that I needed to go to for a package.  The place was the typical nail salon- spa seats, nail stations and a TV mounted on the wall.  I was immediately greeted and asked what I was thinking of doing.  I chose to get a pedicure and gel manicure.  I thought the pedicure was done well and neat.  I added the callous remover since my feet felt extremely rough and boy was it worth it.  Now they feel like silk.  I did wish that they removed any ingrown nail on my toes that my previous nail place does.  But maybe you have to mention it.  Gel manicure was also done to my satisfaction, however I did not particularly like how I have to keep my hands in the gel light machine for 2-3 minutes after each coat.  Seems a bit excessive and gets my hands hot.  I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that it will make my gel nails last longer.  Customer service - people were friendly and calm.  No hassle no fuss when they suggest something you might like to add.  And they kindly offered me a cold bottle of water which I enjoyed in the 90 degree weather outside.  Overall, thumbs up. It's a no from me.My friend comes on her lunch every so often to get her eyebrows waxed. I normally get my eyebrows threaded but since this place is close to work and I had the time, I figured I'd give it a go.We went in around 12:30 on a Friday. It was quite busy and looked like all of the workers were assisting other customers. We were greeted right away and were told it would be a little bit of a wait. Not a big deal, no one else was waiting. Within a couple of minutes of sitting down a lady motioned my friend from the middle of the salon to come over. My friend was seated in the chair facing her and so I moved over to that chair after she went so I could go to the next available person. I sat there for a good 10 or 15 minutes but no one became available. Still not a big deal. Then another customer walked in and started looking at the nail polish selection to the right of the salon. One of the workers walked over to her a few moments later and told her to come and sit down when she was ready. I was about to say something but it happened so quickly and I couldn't think of the words to say. Frankly, I was offended that I was sitting there waiting the whole time but for whatever reason I'm just doing it because I like the smell of nail chemicals in the afternoon. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe this worker only did nails since the customer was already looking at the polish and I wouldn't be waiting much longer since the worker that was with my friend would tend to me next.5 minutes later my friend walks back to the front to pay and as the lady who helped her is ringing her up another customer comes to the door. She asks the customer if she could help her and the customer asks, "Is she waiting?" Referring to me. The lady that is helping my friend responds, "No, she's not waiting, can I help you?" I laugh and tell the customer, "Well I was but nobody asked me." To this, that work says nothing and still tells the customer that she can help her. So my friend signed for her purchase, I got up and we walked out. I really just don't understand how hard it is to provide a decent level of customer service to people who walk into your store. I've gone to other salons, whether it be hair, nail or anything like that with friends and everyone in our party is asked if they require assistance. Two separate workers at this location completely disregarded me. Was I supposed to wear a sign that says, "Potential customer"? Was I supposed to throw money at them? Was I supposed to hound them as they were clearly still working with other customers? No. All those things are ridiculous. But apparently so are they if not one worker could acknowledge my presence. My only token of advice is if you do come here and you actually are offered assistance... pay with a credit/debit card. There's not an option to tip. Came here for my nails on Friday. Very clean place, very friendly workers. I got a regular manicure and pedicure and they worked on it slowly and it turned out very nice! The nail color was an OPI pink color. The prices are decent and the ladies were not pushy at all. Tony did a great job on my nails! I will return since I go around the area a lot! Read Less

HORRIBLE! I went in for gel nails and regular pedicure.  The woman doing my nails started painting the gel while I had lent stuck to my finger nails. And the person who was working on my toes, I haven't had a pedicure in six weeks, had her work cut out for her. She finished all of my cuticles in about a minute and a half.  Which forced me to have to complain then she went back and took her time. When it was time to paint the nails and they brought the sample that I had chosen from the gel colors was a completely different color than the sample.  AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Read Less

Clean, friendly, GREAT job on my pedi!!! Not a lot of places I've been to do a gj on pedis. Didn't get her name but when I walked out of there the bottoms of my feet were so smooth! The lady who did my mani was very friendly as well. A little sloppy and she misunderstood me when I asked for "white" nails, she thought I meant French so I got charged $4 or something for French.  Overall they were not pushy and I didn't feel pressured or herassed at all. One thing I didn't like about this place was their pedi chairs! The massage turns off like in 5-10 min. And when I tried to restart, it turned on for like 2 min and turned off again. Read Less

I have other favorite nail salons that do comparatively better than most, but I usually come to Hi-Tek when I need to get in and get out in 30-40min. for a full mani/pedi. Went in with my aunt for two walk-in deluxe pedicures and we got in right away. Not only are the workers there very friendly but they do an excellent job. The best thing I liked about the deluxe pedicure was that they spent probably 10-15 mins doing a foot and calf massage as part of the package; most places I've been to only do it for a couple minutes max or else charge extra for extended time. I came in today because I really wanted a pedicure. I walked in and was greeted right away. I had a great experience. While the building looks old, everything was clean. New tools used. So I was slightly displeased with my experience here. I stopes in because I wanted to let traffic die down. I was greeted immediately and was sat right away. I had two ladies one did my pedicure and the other one was doing my manicure. I paid extra for callus removal but they didn't use any product or anything special. She just used soap and scrubbed for a few mins. The massage was good (had to pay an extra 5$ for it) but the overall quality was poor. I have nail polish on he edges and the paint itself looks sloppy. As far as my manicure the lady kept bouncing back and fourth between me and someone else. So the entire time was a stop and go.. The nail polish was sloppy and one of my nails had lines already as if the color was smushed. Wasn't worth the extra pay for gel and callus removal. Read Less

I came here once with my mother a while ago and she liked it a lot because they were very attentive and delicate with a hurt hand and such. We haven't been back since, just due to scheduling.   I called on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and made an appointment for this past Sunday, 11/29 for 4 - everyone was really pleased with their manicures (3 total, 1 gel), pedicures (4), and my mom's best friend got an extra fut massage.  They are delicate on your cuticles and if you're missing half your big toenail due to an accident ;)I would say their callus remover service is sub-par and that's why I only put 4 stars.Parking and scheduling appointments is easy! If I had one word to describe Hi-Tek Nails it would be INCONSISTENT because you never know what kind of work you will be leaving with. My first time was awesome! I couldn't believe I had never gone there and was glad that I ignored the 3 STARS, my 2nd time was terrible (same person), 3rd time was ok and basically it was a hit or miss situation anytime after that.  After several times of coming here (yes I kept going because I don't always have time to try different Nail places) I finally asked for Tony to do my nails because these women where just not cutting it for me. Tony does do a great job, he asks you want you like and will try his best to do what you've asked him to do. If I ever go back I will only get my nails done with him. Jessica will occasionally do a great job too but like I said the work is very inconsistent. *Clean Place *Descent $P.S.
