this place is awesome!! I came for a mani/pedi and was seated right away. They loaded me with pillows in the spa chair and made sure I was comfortable. As she was doing my nails she kept asking to make sure the shape was exactly what I wanted. They both took their time and were very polite! I initially ended up here because of the yelp reviews, proximity to where I live and the convenient morning hours. I had acrylics on for quite a while and had the urge to go back to my natural nail. I know how bad acrylic can leave nails and wanted to give them the best shot and get them professionally done. Nina was able to take me right when I walked in and she took her time removing all the layers while keeping the integrity of my nails. Found this place driving by after a horrible experience at another nail salon in San Diego. Loved everything about this place! Haven't had time to write a review in a while,but this place deserved one. Nini did my Pedicure she was absolutely wonderful and kind took her time  wasn't rushed. I didn't feel like they were trying to kick me of the chair to work on to to the next client. Most places now a days rush to do the work I guess this other places  prefer quantity verses quality thank goodness these ladies prefer quality!! I left a happy customer. This is my GO TO nail spot! It's a very small nail salon & only has a few chairs. They do charge $25 for a pedicure. Although, I used to go here often, they now have new owners for this nail spot. It used to a mexican lady who was very nice & she definitely stood up for her standards of having more of a luxury service where her employees take their time with each customer. I believe the new owners are asian & I won't be surprised if it becomes a typical nail spot with a bunch of workers speaking in some asian language. I was looking for a nail salon to visit as a treat to pamper my mom for Mother's Day and came across The Nail Spot. I had called the day before to book 2 appointments rather than risking a walk in. NOTE: HIGHLY recommend calling in and making an appointment rather than walking in, especially on the weekends. It's a nice little shop with 4 chairs and tables for manis and pedis. Ms. Duchi, also the owner, assisted me with my manis and pedis, while Laura took care of my mom. They definitely take their time and I felt like a VIP at her salon. There's definitely a more family oriented, customer service focused vibe at this salon while other salons don't really take care of you like family. Both spent their time on the manicures and pedicures, which took over 1 hour for both things to be done. After it was complete, I was so relaxed and knew from that one experience that this will be my go-to shop. They also have a stamp card, so after 10 services, you get a free service (i.e. gel manicure, paraffin treatment, etc.) Also, their prices cannot be beat! All other nail salons charge you extra for every little thing, while this one includes all services, unless it's a special service. All pedis include a scrub and callus removal while other salons that I've been to will charge you extra for all these service.Parking in the front is kind of limited, however there's a huge lot right behind the shopping mall with plenty of parking that you can use. This is my new favorite nail salon. I had been trying to find a place I really liked for awhile. My mother and I were treated wonderfully from the moment we arrived. Only gave it a four star due to a new drill they had and it literally just about put a hole in the middle of my nail and was slightly painful. :( flora did her absolute best to fix the problem. I walked in the nail shop hoping to find a place close by my house to help fix my nails I got them done a week earlier at another place and did a bad job. When I first walked in there I was greeted by the owner who was friendly and nice told me the prices which were very reasonable. I walked in the day before to look around and met with the owner I showed her my nails I had them done a week before at another place and it wasn't a very good job and wanted to know if she might be able to help. They have a great team of manicurists who take their time and leave your manis/pedis beautiful. Their prices are GREAT for the service and experience The Nail Spot offers. i found this place after eating tacos at TJ oyster Bar ( a must go too ), and was greeted by Duchi (owner) with a pleasant smile and promptly seated me Laura one of the manicurists there.
