This place is honestly the worst I have ever experienced in my existence. I booked an appointment for two people, the next day I arrived for my appointment to be told it was for one , as though we were lying. The rude receptionist said she would do both then she starting going on about no pets, the cheeky (I don’t know what to call her) I told her I don’t have a pet and I have my child with me in a buggy , and she started laughing (at this point I expect an apology) !! When at this point we were seated they started removing my gel and then told me they couldn’t do my pedicure as they noticed a bruise, so I said okay I’ll leave it. This place is super fancy looking, that's about it. They get all the stars on interior design. I used to go here all the time but got fed up after all my less than pleasant experiences. They get 1 star for their prices, they charge for every single thing. No joke, they are as bad as your regular nail spot down the street. They charge for pink powder over white powder. They don't ease up or throw in anything complementary except for alcohol. They even charge different prices for different stones. A bag of stones from China is dirt cheap and they charge up to $20 per stone. The nails can sometimes come out fabulous but for a full set, gel polish, manicure, and design. You are looking at north of $100.00 just for your nails. It doesn't last and it's not worth the expense. The girls are even snobby about it and rude if they don't think you can afford their service and tip what they expect. So then it gets awkward especially if you are asking about pricing and trying to save where you can. I promise there are better places out there that don't break the bank. The worst costumer service by a man named Devon at the Beverly Hills location at the front rude and condescending. He should not be working in customer service. Just told me I need to have more patience even though I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and probably will be another 5 minutes he said. This is unprofessional to be 20 min late for a scheduled appointment then tell me that I need to have more patience. I friendly receptionist with less of a dick personality is needed here ASAP. I absolutely love Laqué. I've been going to Kay for a year now (every three weeks) and I just love her to death (she gets me). This is my happy place. All the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they're on the pricey side if you like designs. Looking at my nails and trying to justify this $75 FILL that I paid for. Matte polish is less than$10 and holographic chrome is anywhere between $2-8 on a very popular nail website, so I'm trying to figure out why the charge is so much (per finger) to apply it. Honestly service is so good i love my nail technician but let me say this. I got my nails done before new years for me and my sister payed $95 DOLLARS for both of us seriously $95 DOLLARS honestly i dont mind oaying if the nails last but lord my nails didnt even last 1 DAY. This is what is disappointing i called to get a refund and nothing i emailed the owner Marina and she responded and she was going to see what can be resolved nothing yet so i called fortunately the owner answered my call asked me to send her pictures of my nails and i didnt get no response at all i got no refund no nails done again no NOTHING i seriously wasted $95 DOLLARS for nothing. The counter girl is friendly the rest of the staff not at all. I did not see a smile the whole time I was there the girls did not acknowledge my presence not even a "hello" or smile. Laqué, was definitely not the manicure/ pedicure experience I expected. I decided to book a manicure and pedicures for my mother in laws birthday as a gift.  I got the mimosa combo and the Bellini combo. I thought it would be something nice to do... it seemed like a really nice place.However upon our arrival I approached the front desk girl to let her know we had appointments she said "pick your colors" and we took a seat. I definitely  did not feel welcomed like a place where you walk in and the staff says welcome or you have a really good front desk clerk with just an uplifted attitude and polite. I figured because this was a more upscale and high maintenance place they would be a little different, then your usual nail salons. Once our services started and finished I was highly dissatisfied with the work overall... my nails were not cleaned properly Jessica who did my pedicure did not clean my nails as I expected. She just semi trimmed my cuticles filed them and polished them and left to take care of another customer. Today is day three since I got my manicure and pedicure the polish on my nails has already chipped, and the I got a nail repair because one of my nails broke prior to my appt well that nails broke as well again.... I am very disappointed and dissatisfied customer... I would have expected excellent service for paying nearly 80$ on manicures and pedicures. I decided to try this place out with intentions of making it my regular to go to place but after my experience I will continue to search for a better nail salon the place had very nice decor I will say, place is very clean and structured however the services are not quite there... as for my mother in law she was satisfied with  her pedicure by reighly  probably misspelled her name she was a very genuine and attentive with her  her manicure she was not satisfied with her nails were not cleaned right .I will attached photos for this review as well... This is my third time coming to this salon for nail service. The first time my nails were fine, they did a great job...maybe because the salon was fresh and new. The second time I came, my jewels fell off within the first few days. So I went back to get them fixed. Annoyed!! But anyways....I decided to give them a third chance and that was bad idea! I went in on Friday 07/07/17 for a gel mani and just three days later the gel began to chip. I went in around noon on Wednesday 07/12/17 to see if I could get them fixed, and I was told I would have to wait until 5pm because everyone was busy and/or they were booked! Lol. Yea right! I'm not waiting 5 hours to get my nails fixed! It should be a priority since it was your nail tech that did a bad job on them, and/or the cheap polish that you provide the staff with! Also, I've noticed that the staff changes a lot!! And the nail techs are sooo friendly and nice but I feel a lot of them are beginners and nail art isn't quite their craft just yet! I felt rushed throughout the appointment by the girl who did my nails. The girl was also bitter sweet. Saying please doesn't make it wholly polite. It is the way you state your commands. Making your customer position their hands in a weird angle just so you can make your work easier is not really good customer service. After my nails were done being painted, the girl said I can stay as long as I needed on the chair. But actions spoke louder than her words. She started cleaning rapidly and turned the faucet sink on. I have arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment, and was informed that I didn't have an appointment.That I wasn't guarantee to see a nail technician because all your regulars were  scheduled. It's a disappointment to have arrived and not be on the schedule. I reiterated the number I called to schedule my visit and was told that even though that was the phone number I called, I had called the wrong number and that there was no way I had called the Beverly Hills location. The front desk receptionist was very rude she had an attitude there was no need for her attitude while trying to figure out my situation. She should learn to have some patience and learn how to acknowledge the issue at hand. knowing she was the one at fault because I know who I called and when I called to it's on it's unfortunate that your facility cannot accept your mistake; it's impossible for me to come back. Born and raised in LA. I constantly flying back and fourth from Massachusetts to California due to school. Whenever I'm in town and try to make an appointment my phone calls always go to voice and never get a call back. Seems as if they could care less about costumer service but forget thanks to the PEOPLE their business is running. I found a nail place called "The parlor" in DTLA. This place is legitimately the worst!! I had a gift card here so I came for a mani pedi. First of all the girl asks me which location the gift card was purchased. Umm.... how would I know. IT WAS A GIFT. My total was $46 the gift card was for $50. I told her I've never used it and she could keep the rest. She made me wait so she could verify the gift card. Are you kidding me?!? Like I'm a criminal....They refused to give me a pedicure because of a small bruise on my pinky toe. Btw. It's been like this my whole life......Sooo I guess I'll never get a pedicure here. There was a nice girl that eventually gave me a "polish change"Also they were out of champagne. And..... I had to ask for a beverage. It was never offered. Please continue you tell me about why you couldn't perform the service that every other nail salon in Beverly Hills would do. Gotten my nails done here once and once at Hollywood location. My number 1 complaint is that it is way too difficult to even book an appointment. At least three times in the past 6 months, I'd call and call, be put on a "brief" hold, and I'd wait a full 5-6 minutes before hanging up and trying again. Just called 6 times... Y'all are losing business this way. I'd recommend starting an online appointment system or retraining the receptionist. My 2nd issue is that for the price, it's not really worth it. I have been going to Laqué for about 2 months now & let me tell you I absolutely LOVE going here!!! I made the mistake once by going back to my old nail salon because laqué was booked and I forgot to make an appointment, boy was that a mistake! Ladies, make your appointment 2 weeks in advance and you'll be fine! My nail lady is Kay, she is AMAZING!!! she makes sure your gel mani isn't bumpy, gel nail polish isn't stuck to the side of your nail/skin which is a HUGE plus for me since that's one of my biggest pet peeves! All the nail tech girls are good but Kay is my favorite, she's up to date with all the new trends! They have a huge selection of options when it comes to gel, and all the gems and glitter you can imagine! They also serve mimosa, tea, juice and water all FREE of charge & you cannot beat the price of $30 gel mani. They are for sure cheaper then most nail salons in LA no doubt about that! Everyone is so nice and makes you feel pampered. I do have to say, they do no soak your nails if you are getting a gel mani nor do they trim you cuticles, due to bacteria and infections you can get. I absolutely LOVE this place for these reasons:1- SUPER clean ALWAYS 2- SUPER talented nail technicians3- Customer service is always amazing 4- Polish selection... sooo many color options5- Stone selection... they have so many options to bling out your nails6- Reasonable prices7- Free champagne :) I am super picky about my nails and love to bling them out. This place has every polish color imaginable. The nail techs are super creative and friendly. I cannot find 1 reason to complain about this place. I absolutely love that they respect ppl's appointment times. If your appt. is @ 5 expect to be seated within 5-10 minutes. TIP: Make an appointment ahead of time and let the receptionist know what service you want... they have different time slots per service to ensure the nail tech is available for his or her following appt. You will not be disappointed by coming here. Also, bring cash to tip your nail techs. They work hard to ensure you leave happy. Laque has an ATM but it comes with a $3-5 fee to withdraw $. Worst manicure experience ever. Was my second time to the salon and the THIRD time that they cut me and I left bleeding. I get it that cuts happen sometimes but it's only happened to me once every year or 2 and I get manicures weekly! On top of cutting me the work just wasn't good at ALL. I asked for round nails and all of the edges were rough and jagged. The girl that butchered my nails was very sweet but seemed very inexperienced. The icing on the cake was the receptionist's attitude. She made me feel extremely unwelcome and like I didn't belong there. They also wouldn't let me use my own polish that was safe for me to use while pregnant even though this wasn't an issue at all on my previous visit or any other nail salon I have ever visited before. I really wanted to like this place since it was next door to my son's school, cute and half the price of my normal salon. I'd been admiring Laque for a while on IG and using their photos for ideas to show my other nail shop. They were just too dang far for me so when they opened up the BH location I was sooo excited! The location is simply gorgeous! Clean, modern and the staff are all very welcoming. (Oh yea the staff was very diverse which was very refreshing considering most nail shops are allllllll Asian owned and ran). I got a regular pedi (Jessika) and a gel mani (Tina). Both girls did a great job but I have to say Tina shaped the hell out of my nails!!! I like my nails short but I still like them to have a coffin-like effect (square and narrow at the tip). A lot of places don't know how to file them right and they end up squoval. *eye roll* But Tina filed them perfectly! Price wasn't bad either. Pedi was $19 and my gel mani was $28 +another $18 bc I got two nails covered in Swarovski crystals. They also offer you a drink (champagne, juice (Bellini/mimosa), coffee, tea)Would've given 5 stars but they have a very odd policy for showing up to your appointment time and over half of my crystals came out within 24 hours. Thankfully they have a 72 hour replacement/repair policy so I'll be going back tomorrow to get them fixed. Also, I wish they had massage chairs. The current chairs are really cute but they're not really that functional. They're kind of uncomfortable and they slide on the platforms. Although most see it as a nail salon this swanky boutique parlor kicks it up a notch offering hair and skin care while maintaining excellent customer service throughout. I'm very unhappy with the service received today.... Way over charged In my opinion..... Total was $122 for a gel full set, reg pedi, and a reg paint on my child's nails (finger and toe) ridiculous!!! I was excited and wanted to really love it her but this was my first and last time going here....my full set alone was $75 for very crooked bumpy acrylic nails and just a plain color that's crazy! The tech was nice but that's not enough she should get more practice before u having her charge this amount!!! This is by far the prettiest nail/hair salon I've ever stepped foot in. But unfortunately, thats where the buck stops. I can only assume IF I had an appointment, the service would have been better. I came in on my birthday only to wait an hour and get no updates. This was midday on a weekday and the foot traffic was slow. I was not offered a drink or given any attention. As a walk in, I only had to wait approximately 25 minutes to get started on (mani/pedi combo). After being seated at the manicure bar, frank offered me a drink to have while he worked on my nails. I told him I wanted negative spacing in my accent nail and showed him an example. I tried to advise him to use tape for it but he went on and used his brush and acetone instead. He's the professional so I let him do his thing. As he finished, he made the space way bigger than what I showed him and said he wasn't a manicurist and was more an acrylics guy. I understood and told him to just go ahead and paint my nails plain, no design. He was very nice and helped move me to my pedicure station. My only concern was that if someone isn't all that comfortable with doing something outside of their niche, why did they make him do it? I'll definitely be back as I am still satisfied with everything here and the place overall is aesthetically pleasing!
