Worst customer service I have ever experienced! One of the salons closed which I had received several gift cards for. I wanted to get the money returned to the people who gave them to me. I called consistently three times a week for 2 weeks at the Beverly Hills location requesting to speak to the manager, Monica. Apparently Monica was too busy to call me back. Finally a snotty receptionist, Martha, told me I had to go through the credit card companies and get the money back. I asked why no one called us back to even dignify these requests, and she said "I don't know, I'm not psychic." Pitiful customer service and Jose should be embarrassed. Read Less

our family friend Anthony referred this place and my wife decide to go there. Her stylist was Gregory. We had appointment for 1 pm . We arrived there 15 minutes before and waited. Receptionist come and said Gregory stucked on traffic and will be late 15 minutes. We ended up wait till 2:15 and he finally showed up. He was upset and rude and was shouting on the phone to someone. We decide to cancel appointment .Place is nice and receptionist lady was awesome and helpful. But attitude like Gregory's was not acceptable. Do not have this man touch your head unless you want women you don't even know stopping you in the street to ask, "You're haircut is amazing! Who does it for you!?!" Karen Smith is AMAZING!!!!! I'd never colored my hair before and I had her do an ombré which turned out amazing. I was scared it would look harsh and unnatural but it's not even close. I have jumped around most of the top salons in Beverly Hills but I have finally found one that's stuck now that I've been to Jose Eber! I have very curly hair and I have always struggled to get the right cut to suit my curls and face. I used to always wear my hair straight because I couldn't find the right style for my curls. Karen smith listened to everything I wanted and gave me everything I asked for and more! She suggested I do a keratin treatment and I was a little hesitant at first because in the past I haven't seen the results I wanted but Karen did such a thorough job and I was so happy with the results! I usually don't trust people to get rid of some of the length but I let her cut my hair and I am so happy that I did. She took off my split ends and gave me a flattering hair style. i recently went to Josè Eber for the first time to get my hair dyed and cut by Karen smith. i have always experimented with my hair style and color but i can say with absolute certainty that this is my favorite look. Karen spent hours bleaching my hair to make sure that it matched my coloring and so that it was still healthy. in the past, hair dressers have bleached my entire head in one go, but Karen dyed my roots separately to make sure my hair didn't come out yellow/orange. she also made sure that the bleach didn't dry out or damage my hair--in fact, it is softer than it was before i went in. I am so happy that i went to this salon--it was worth every penny and time spent stuck in traffic on the 405. I don't trust many people with my hair but I would trust Karen with any style or color. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to do anything from adventurous and edgy to healthy maintenance. Read Less

Jose Eber is simply home to my hair. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I see people who work there in all capacities who've been there as long as I remember. That says a LOT about the place. Mimi is the absolute best hair colourist, ever! I've been going to her for as long as I remember and will not change her for all the tea in China! She gives me the rusty red gold that I love - which is not easy to get. Still today, after all these years I never stop getting complements for my hair from friends and even people I don't know! No doubt that it's a beautiful salon but I had the absolute WORST service from the stylist JOEY.I was supposed to go for a haircut, and they confirmed with me the day before. The appointment was @10 AM and I woke up at 8 AM which is very rare since I'm not much of a morning person... Plus was driving up from the OC.. I get a phone call from Joey @8:55 am cancelling the appointment because apparently he double booked... Which is NOT my problem .. He should've figured his schedule out properly with his receptionist. I was so pissed off that I wasted a whole morning. So unprofessional !!! Anthony Morrison is the best thing to ever happen to my hair. I have thin fine dry hair. And I have had so many horrible experiences with people bringing my hair back to blonde and horrible cuts that make it look thinner . But I found Anthony Morrison about 6 years ago. I had been dying my hair black/ brown for about 10 years because I was afraid to fry off my hair again trying to go back to blonde ( my natural color) ....I really wanted to go back to my Blonde color. When I actually got the courage to do it , I researched the best stylists in California for about 2 months. I came across Anthony's name a lot and my boyfriend at the time now husband said he recognized Anthony's name also. So I thought , okay I'm just going to do it.  I was super nervous, as in the past I've had to live with orangey fried hair for weeks while trying to get lighter. So I tried to mentally prepare for that. I am more insecure about my thin hair then anything else. But when I met Anthony and his staff, he was so knowledgeable and confident that he was going to make it look amazing, it calmed me down. The first time I went to him he took me from black to blonde and made my hair look thicker and healthier then ever in my life. I never liked the way my hair looked until he did it. I've never left him since , 6 year later I now drive from Orange County to Beverly Hills every time I get my hair done. I'll never go to anyone else no matter where I live. In the last six years I went from black to blonde to brown to redish brown to dark brown to blonde again. I always know he's going to do amazing things and make me feel beautiful. I feel lucky to have met him.The like the Jose eber salon also. It is pretty and everyone is always nice. So I highly recommend the salon and I highly highly recommend Anthony Morrison, especially if you've had been experiences in the past with other stylist, or Afraid of trying something new. I got my hair done by ANTHONY and his assistant CASSIE.here's my story; I got my hair done on Thursday night 10/8/2015 "trailer trash" blonde at a salon in Costa Mesa since it was a lot closer to home. I HATED it they did not make it the way I was hoping for, I wanted a natural look and they gave me fake yellow hair and I wasted $300 on that hair (tip included) I kept it for 24hrs and decided I couldn't live with my hair like this any longer and called José Eber Salon on Saturday 10/10/2015 at 2pm. I live in Cypres so LA was about a 45 minute drive. Once I got in I had a consultation with Todd and José himself. I told them I wanted to go Brownish Red. José said it could be done but it would be a "BIG BIG BIG JOB!" which I knew BIG MONEY. lol also, Todd asked me if I wanted a hair cut, I let him know I got one down when I went to the other Salon and he showed me how uneven it was :( (I didn't get the hair cut again) Anthony was my stylists and he was the BEST!!!!! I was in a time crunch since I had work at 6pm all the way in Orange. They rushed but didn't do a bad job what so ever. He was super kind and very funny. I loved how my hair came out he for sure got it right! I love it so much. I will be making my appointments with him from now on. I was an hour and half late to work but it was completely worth it! Unfortunately I barley had any cash with me so I could only give a shitty tip. I felt so bad but I thought we could give tip on our cards since all the places I've ever been to allowed it. so I APOLOGIZE! My total hair came out to $450 .. which sucks because I spent over $700 on my hair all together. I learned my lesson José Eber is worth the drive!I will always be making my hair appointments here for now on. Back in April/March? Love this salon....specifically ELIE!!  Ladies if you need a FAB updo for an event, look no further.  Elie is a master of his craft and will make your hair beautiful!  It is so so (SO) hard to find someone who is artistic and fresh when it comes to his/her updo designs.  Before I found Elie, everywhere I'd go for an up do, I'd leave thinking 'I could've done this myself!'  I'm going to get my hair cut and styled by Elie soon, so I'll report back once that's done.  I've attached sine pictures of Elie's work here so take a peek!  I got so many compliments on it :-) Read Less

my dad bought the signature series straightener at a mall years ago for my birthday and it broke when i packed it in my suitcase for a train ride.. i just found it in a box because i've been moving a lot recently (and it was lost for quite sometime). the address on the box is incorrect because i sent the straightener along with the money order for shipping and my delivery conformation number from the post office shows that it is being returned. the straightener has a lifetime waranty and i was wondering if they had changed their address or if you can please help me in any way. i loved this product and really want to use it again!! I used to be a client of Jose Eber for many years until I defected and started coloring my own hair (to save money) and went to another hair dresser at another salon. I came into the Salon today with a major hair emergency. Bad choppy cut and hair color that was dull, ashy and brassy. The staff greeted me with kindness and they were all looking after my needs. My hair colorist Lisanne, saved my hair! I showed her a picture of a golden blond hair I had at its best and she made it EXACTLY like it and even better. It's shiny and healthy and got rid of all my ashy ends. My stylist Angelica was equally awesome. She listened to my concern and made me feel beautiful and gave me a wonderful layered and blended cut. Both ladies were so friendly and warm! And you know what, the price was ALL WORTH IT FOR ME! I am back to my old self again and that has no price tag for me. Read Less

I had the absolute worst salon experience at Jose Eber in Beverly Hills. Previously living in Plano, Texas, I would get my haircut at the salon there. Being a current cosmetology student in LA I wanted to ""try"" this location as a potential place of employment. Needless to say, my hair was destroyed after the entire haircut was done with only a razor and thinning shears. The color had zero shine and a green tint. I went home and tried my best to get used to the ""change"" but was embarassed to go back to cosmetology school. I then returned to the salon to demand my money back. I took an out of town family member to this salon for service. It was recommended by an acquaintance (a local ""celebrity"" newscaster). Since my family member had a short style, I felt Jose might be a good stylist selection. I was extremely disappointed in the atmosphere and treatment. The atmosphere is that of a cosmetology school. It is very distasteful if you are accustom to high end salons. The stylists look and act (talking, gossiping, eating at stations) like what you might expect at a cosmetology school. My regular hair stylist is Frederic Fekkai and although I was not at Jose Eber to personally receive a service, the staff felt compelled to give unsolicited advice on what was ""wrong"" with my hair. I have been going to salons in Beverly Hills for years and NEVER in my history have I been pulled aside and asked if I could afford a service! Jose Eber Salon tops them all. Can you imagine the staff trying to actually humiliate their clientele? If they treat locals this way I can only imagine what they do to all those poor tourists! I felt like I was living a scene from ""LA Story"": What might you order? I might like the duck. You can't.- You can't. Why? With this financial statement, you think you can have the duck? Where do you summer? Excuse me? Where do you spend your summers? Here. The chicken.- You can have the chichen.. Where's the camera crew? This woman didn't just ask me if I could afford the service at this dump? This experience was like a parody of LA. While Jose' may be a wonderful person, extremely charismatic and charming, I will never set foot in his salon again. The place is in dire need of a major overhaul with major policy changes and a more upscale mannered staff who provide a higher level of customer service.I vote this the worst experience I've ever had in a salon - not due to the service but due to the poor manners of ignorant staff. coloring my hair is a new thing for me. i'm 27 and just started having it done. if it weren't for heather i'm not sure i'd be sticking with this new hobby. she's the kind of colorist who will never let you down or walk out with hair that doesn't look great on you. she's super out going and nice, making sure every client gets the experience they deserve. the day i leave the salon the compliments don't stop. she's gorgeous and takes pride in herself and her work. she can look at you and decide what works. she has style, she has flare, she was there, that's how she became my colorist! i love love love her and recommend her to ANYONE! do yourself a favor and check her out. i promise you will NOT be disappointed. I hated this outdated, overrated, overrpriced salon. There is zero customer service just arrogant obnoxious has-beens. The people who ""manage"" this dump are downright nasty, unfriendly and awful. They act like they're doing you a favor to let you come pay triple what a service should cost and give you a talent-less lame haircut, blowdry, color. I have had several bad experiences and am done. The thing I miss most about LA- Lorenzo Martin. He is a genious with style, cut and color!! Everytime I walked into the salon I was filled with anticipation becasue I knew the minute I stepped out I would feel like a supermodel. The expierence itself was very relaxing. Some months back I went to a supposedly top hair salon in San Diego! My hair was absolutely ruined, not to say anything of the cost! I had saved the Allure Magazine which wrote up Lorenzo Martin of Jose Eber. I was terrified, but living with my diaster was worse. I called and made the appointment and drove to L.A.. I was embarrassed even to walk into the salon, but everyone was so cordial. Lorenzo was so understanding and he gave me absolutely the best haircut I have ever had and what can I say about the color. I had my hair done by one stylist at Jose Eber and it was awful, the color was orange, (supposed to be blonde) and he then razor cut my fine hair and it looked thin, ragged it was a mess. I was in tears. Thankfully this story has a happy ending. The manager couldn't have been more gracious and put me with their top stylist Lorenzo Martin. THANK GOODNESS! He corrected the color and in fact it is the best color I have ever had. Lorenzo corrected the cut with a few gorgeous natural extension, he even oversaw the technician as she put them in, and then recut he my hair. I left the salon with full,luscious, bouncy hair. I've never had that in my entire life. Even though he was the busiest person in the salon he took my emergency hair crisis right away, made me feel at ease and gave me a complete makeover. What a talent. By the way, I met my boyfriend that night when I was at a boring business function. It all started with him saying he loved my hair. I asked him to make me a real California blonde and cut my hair into something glamorous and incredible. Well, he more than delivered, I walked out with the most gorgeous hair I have ever had in my life! Walking down Rodeo Drive 4 different people asked me who did my hair. What a compliment! Not only is Lorenzo talented he is kind and attentive. I felt like I was the only client in the salon. As soon as I said that X worked his magic and I walked away with a haircut that took my breath away. I was a client at Jose Eber for about two years -- driving up from Orange County to get my hair done. In that time, I had my hair colored by Moonie, cut by Paul Jean and my hair extensions done by Edward. I never left the salon feeling anything less than pampered and looking like a million bucks. The stylists truly worked as a team and client service was their top priority. It was also generally pretty easy to get appointments, as the stylists were very accommodating with their schedules and understood the needs of their busy clientele. My only complaint was [obviously] the sky high prices, but sometimes you get what you pay for in life. I ended up changing salons when I got my extensions removed to try to find something more economical and closer to home (I ended up moving to Marina Del Rey), only to end up really unsatisfied in the end. First of all... they had valet, a private elevator that lets you off onto the main floor of the salon. Karen treated me like I had been one of her clients for many years even though it was my first visit. She gave me an awesome haircut, it's easy to style at home and still looks fabulous 5 weeks later. I am sooooo excited because my stylist, James Fojt, just informed me that he will be working in Beverly Hills once a month. I am originally from Los Angeles but moved to Houston when my husband was offered a job. I was so scared of the hairdressers in Houston because they are known for ""Texas Hair"". After James did my hair, I looked 100% better than any style I have ever received in Los Angeles. I visit my mother atleast once a month and now I can see him when I am visiting. I was in LA from Charlotte, NC and my mom and I had appointments to get trimmed and styled at Jose Eber. It was supposed to be a treat and it ended up a nightmare. I asked Shannon for a simple trim. I had long layers and my hair was pretty much wash and go. When I left I had over 6 inches taken off one side of my hair and I now have to spend a rediculous amount of time styling this awful haircut. I was so upset with what I received I took pictures and emailed them to Cynthia, the manager of the salon. And that was over a month ago. I am very upset with the customer service and the rediculous haircut I paid for. You should get what you ask for when you are paying over $100 for a haircut. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Read Less
