Oh my gosh. Where do I start??! Not only are they super unprofessional but they are the worst nail tech!! Waited for 45 mins then got my nails done which didn't turn out so nice I wanted a nice oval shape for some reason they couldn't do that?? Also might I add that someone who had just walked in after I've waited for 30 mins got taken care of right away before I did?!? Very questionable since they didn't have an appointment either. All I have to say is, this place has got to be the worst nail salon save yourself the trouble just because they're cheap don't fall for it.. they've lowered their price for a reason and it's to fuck your nails up!! I've been coming here since I was 12 years old. That's almost 18 years and the people who worked here then still work here now, so if anyone knows anything about nails it is Mary , anna , and the rest of the staff at express nails . I come every other week for a manicure and pedicure and sometimes a $6 color change in between . Sometimes for $5 I'll get a 10 min back or foot massage too. Best $5 you can spend on yourself . Mani and pedi includes: color Removal, soak, cuticle cut, scrub for the pedicure , mini massage with lotion and polish all for $26 total . These ladies are fast, clean and hard working. I've been to all the nail salons most recently Robertson Nails and Express is THE best so far. Affordable - and Donna is the BEST. My nails were so thrashed from acrylic and biting and she made them look AMAZING with gel, her attn to detail and her cuticle cutters. Highly recommend. Read Less

I've been going to Express Nails since they opened, years ago. They are fast, reliable, do a great job, friendly, helpful, just the best. What else can I say? With a salon on every corner it can be hard to tell but this one is a winner. Many long time customers says something good. Read Less

I have searched for a nail shop that does really natural looking Gel Nails. I have tried many and gave up and decided I would not have them done anymore. I was hanging out with my niece for my birthday and she treated me to many things, however this was the highlight of our day. She took complete control and I must say I loved all of her choices. Mary is an expert for pedi's and Donna is the Queen of Gel Nails. The shop was a bit of a surprise to me,  first they do not have Spa Chairs (NONE) it is an Old School nail shop with THOUSANDS of colors (I kid you not, so many boxes of OPI,  Essie and more) It was a Happy place, tons of customers coming and going never rushed, they take their time with each customer. They have lots of nail tech's and lots of stations so waiting is minimal. A lot of their customers were regulars and were greeted by name and a big smile and some received a hug and a kiss. Donna was so kind and patience with me and we talked about her country,  I truly enjoyed the experience and learned quite a bit about her country. The restroom was spotless and the equipment was sterilized. We were lucky to find Street parking,  keep in mind it is located on Robertson between Olympic and Wilshire(a very  congested area) the parking is metered, 2 hours, on Robertson as well as the side street. They accept credit cards, not sure about Apple Pay. The wait was not long and they take appointments, I noticed they are really fast with a polish change only. I plan to have my gel nails done here, I had them done last week and my mani pedi looks like I just had it done. They did an excellent job and provided excellent customer service. It's an okay nail salon. The first reason why I am giving 3 stars is because the women are not uber friendly (which anyway rarely happens) but still, you want to greet your customers with a little smile so they feel welcomed ;-) The second reason is because for some reason I doubt that it's a super hygienic place. The girl who did my nails went immediately from me to another lady without changing her pedicure supplies/tools. I mean unless it's dipped in a product that disinfects them automatically but I didn't see anything. Good thing it went from me to the other lady and not the other way around because after she removed the client's nail polish, I noticed that the lady's toe nails were yellowish and odd looking. "Not So Express"I've been here on numerous occasions and they always take well over an hour. I know I should expect talking and chatter in a nail salon but this is ridiculous. Full on conversations in front of your face with the ladies using their 'outside voices' YELLING ACROSS THE SALON. What do you do? Tell them to turn it down a notch? I can see the expression of the customers getting their nails done and everyone looking at each making eye contact on how uncomfortable it is. Imagine someone doing your nails, you're already closer than need be but to add an extra decibels of yelling in your face??? I don't care what language it's in, it's just R U D E. I feel like saying, "Quit the chatter, (because they're not paying attention to what they're doing) and get to work!I only come here if I have to and can't do my nails at my spot close to home. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I have been a loyal customer here for 8 years and I never went somewhere else even when it was out of my way. However the last few times my experience has been HORRIBLE. This place is not as clean as you would think. They pretend that they sterilize their tools but I found Someone else's cuticle in the bag!!! The towels get re-used and the people don't notice because they are so busy. They re-use gloves which is against the health department laws. They used to be good but now they don't even care about their customers. Mimi cut me the last 3 times I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No sorry, no apology, no discount. Nothing!!!!!! She just continues doing her thing as though you are not sitting In pain. I felt bad for her so I didn't make it a big deal until I GOT AN INFECTION. And it turns out my friend got a nail infection too that same month from here. The rudest thing I experienced here the last time I came (which was the time I got a nail infection) was when they made me wait 1 hour for my appointment!!! They let other people go in front of me- and make excuses to the people waiting. This place really needs to shut down or have all staff switched out. I don't recommend anyone to come here. When I called them about my infection they "all of a sudden" pretended not to understand me. Which is weird bc they always speak English. The ladies at this place are very nice and do an overall good job. The place can get a bit noisy because they are all always talking across the room and sometimes you have to ask them to keep it down, but for the most part it's a good place. They are not good with appointments because they will not refuse anyone. It can get very busy you might have to wait up to an hour to sit! If you go, try going mid day during the week when it's less busy. Read Less

I was referred here by a friend and went a couple months ago. Jenny is AMAZING. She is extremely sweet and does perfect gels. I was a little disappointed by their cleanliness. I didn't see her use new tools for my nails, gross!$42 for a French gel manicure and regular pedi. I have been coming for years   They do a great job. But I don't appreciate when they take advantage of you. I drive from across town to get my mani/pedis here. Donna is the BOMB! The most exacting manicure you will ever get. I went in when my nails were an awful mess and she took about 40 minutes getting them into almost perfect condition. I've had a few other women there who were thorough and good, but nobody tops Donna in my book!They don't have any of those bacteria-riddled pedicure spa chairs--instead everyone gets a freshly plastic-lined tub. This nail salons only do hot wax I only like threading for my face. There's was a lady name Van who use to do it but left L.A. to NY. I heard she asked for a guys number and got rejected. I was there that day and saw her disappointed and reacted like a crazy person. Women ... There's a lot of drama in the nail salons. Same thing with Kim with the 2 huge big boobs. After she left her husband for her millionaire lover, she got rejected. (April Fools) I was there that day and her behavior was like an animal. I was also there that day. This is my opinion. Best pedicure in town! Express Nails ladies are never rushed. You may have to wait a minute for service, but the work they do is well worth the wait. They give each customer the same treatment. I love them all. And you cannot beat the price...$24 for mani/pedi!! Read Less

My roommate turned me on to this nail place when I first moved to LA. Now that I've been trying different places for 3 years...this is still the best. It may seem like a typical cheap mani/pedi place, but they do quality work. ...well this is the place to get it !!! Seriously, I've been getting my manicures & pedicures at Express Nails for years, and while they do a satisfactory job at both, this place is a breeding ground for nail fungus !!! They simply do not clean their instruments after each client. My first infection was really painful and it took my nail 11 months to grow back !!!
