Went here today with a friend for pedicures and we loved it. The vibe of the place was really happy/pleasant/relaxing and we both left feeling refreshed with beautiful pedis. Everyone was smiling and in a good mood. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from, and are serious about cleanliness. The room was a little warm when we arrived due to the weather outside and sun shining in, to which they took the initiative to move us to the back where it was a little cooler before we could even ask. In honor of the newest selfie trend, "the claw," I present to you, my Pinterest nails. I walked into this salon with the notion of trying SNS nails, because someone told me they're better than Gel. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Khoa. He saw me looking at the SNS colors and immediately took the time to explain to me what SNS is, because I clearly looked clueless. I thought that was super cool and was immediately happy to be there. Although they were slammed, I never felt rushed out of there. I got a pedi, SNS (with tips), and my eyebrows waxed. My friend and I were there for about 3 hours, but it was the most relaxing time I've had in a while. Khoa kept us laughing the entire time, and the finished product is beautifu! After several recommendations for different nail places and lots of research I decided to give Paris Nails and Koah a try. What an absolute disappointment!!! The first comment from him was something along the lines of: Who did your nails? but not in a very nice tone. I explained that I had just moved here from VA and we talked about what I usually get done and was expecting, and he quoted me $35 for a gel fill after quizzing me about how much I paid in VA... that should have... been my cue for leaving! In VA I get 2 coats of gel, then they file and shape, apply regular nail color and finish with another coat of gel. He did one coat of gel, filed and shaped, regular nail color and 2 coats of clear nail polish. I asked him about the last coat of gel and he said that it is not done that way. Then he charged me another $5 for doing my polish french style. I paid $40 plus tip on a Friday. By Monday, the nails were starting to lift around the cuticles and by now, exactly a week later most of the clear polish has peeled off and the gel around the cuticle area is a mess. Worst service ever!- putting lotion after painting your nails only on the palms on your hands, no lotion on feet.- on the phone throughout my service- I gave my credit card and was told to either pay cash or debit for the tip, I didnt even mention a tip!- when paying with debit the girl asked me what my PIN number was. When I told her I wont give her my PIN and will pay when I leave to put my PIN in their machine she said "is it your first time here? Only you say you dont give PIN!"Last time here for sure. I am absolutely appalled at the service I received at this nail salon today. My nail technician (Hannah) was very sweet, however she cut my thumb to the point that I am still bleeding 20 minutes later & have hanging skin. I understand that this was an accident, but on top of that she was rushing through my manicure (which probably was why I was injured) I asked her for a Band-Aid which she refused and kept saying "You're fine" as blood was running down my hand. Great to take kids! My little girl ( she's 4) loves going here. She talks their heads off and they are so nice to her. She now tells me she needs to go there to relax. Everything I have done I this salon is great! I've sang and laughed with my girls. For a mom with girls that are 10 years apart... They have given us a fun mom/sister activity that everyone loves! I've had a few decent pedis here in the past but the last few times were so poor i felt I had to write. Positives: they take walk-ins and I've had a few nice pedis. The negatives: unfriendly and rude manicurists who file you to death and they hardly massage you unless you're willing to cough up extra dollars for additional minutes. They clearly gossip with each other about customers - it's so obvious how they laugh and look at customers. Last time I was there I was a walk in, a woman pointed out a chair, then the pedicurist shows up and didn't so much as give me a hello, i tried several times to say hi just to make a friendly intro but she was clearly not in the mood - not someone you want working on your feet. I've met some nice and professional staff here in the past but this was beyond.  Also, if you're sensitive to chemical smells sometimes the odor inside can be overwhelming. I came here to get my eyebrows threaded and I left with the same exact brows I came with. DONT ADVERTISE SERVICES YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO. It's a waste of time. I was in there for 30minutes expecting some beautifully refined Beverly Hills brows an came out with something worse than I can get on Crenshaw. I'm pissed and completely unhappy. I work basically next door, Let me preface my review by saying I do NOT go to nail salons "regularly" aka my nails are bare half the time; I'd say i to once every 6-8 weeks to get them done.The worst part about leaving this review is that this coudl've been EXACTLY what I was looking for. I don't go to nail salons to relax; I go usually because I have a work meeting or vacation that I want my nails to look pretty for. With that in mind, things that other people didn't like are actually Pro's for me. See details below:PROs:-Came in at 12 for mani-pedi and was started immediately, no appointment required. This is why there are so many people milling around - they have a TON of girls available. For my, not a detractor.-Out the door/done in 25 minutes. For me, HUGE pro, because I can be in/out during my lunch break. Huzzah.-Nails look great when they were done.-Good selection of regular polish, with high-quality brands.-CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Everything is very hygienic, with tools sealed in individual packages marked "pre-sterilized". Then, had the nerve to give me major shade when I didn't tip her generously (she still got a 15% tip, mind you.).-Pedicurist's "massage" was a joke, but at least she remembered.One additional note: Vanessa missed my edges on multiple fingers while doing my initial manicure; however, she also went back without me having to say anything and fixed every single one. I really, REALLY appreciated this, and it makes me think that she was probably having an off day forgetting my hand/arm massage. I got a gel manicure and it chipped in three days. 1 week later and 5 of my nails are chipped. My pedicure didn't fare much better. One week out and 4 toes no longer have polish on them. Very disappointed by the quality of the services. I won't be getting a gel or pedicure here again. I also was approached for a massage and not told in advance that they charge a dollar a minute. The best nail salon in LA, especially if you want gel or acrylic nails done right. All of the employees are so sweet and total pros. They are very fast here, so I can get a quick mani/pedi during my lunch breaks which is a huge plus. The salon is on the pricey side but is totally worth it. I have to echo the sentiment of another reviewer that this place is too crowded. Way too many customers are packed into a small space. That signals greedy to me.I got a zero frills pedicure that must have taken all of 5 minutes for $20. That short time was probably a blessing, because the over-used uncomfortable office chair (with non-functioning adjustable arm rests stuck in the lowest position) they had me sit in was causing a pain in my side as I had one leg up. They actually had a row of plush comfortable-looking designated pedicure chairs that were all in-use. This also leads me to think they were greedy and just wanted to get me in-and-out fast. I'm honestly not sure what the appeal of this place is. If you want a super quick $20 pedicure, in a cramped smelly atmosphere, this is the place for you. Read Less

Great mani and pedi. My wife, cousin and i came to LA for a weekend trip and came across this nail salon, after eating at Nate and Al's. The service was great and they took us right away.  I got a grl mani and non gel pedi. My gel came off after 1 week, but my pedi is still standing strong. Read Less

I stopped by this nail salon yesterday because I was already in the area and they were able to take me in right away. Pros: they are fully staffed so you don't have to wait, their manager seems to really be monitoring the place and making sure the customers are happy, it was pretty clean, and my techs did a good job.Cons: I felt like I was in a bazaar. The techs who did not have customers were just walking around endlessly with some of them yelling across the room to each other. Also, the techs are constantly talking to each other in a different language while they're working on customers. I went in for a quick gel manicure on my lunch break. Well it wasn't super quick. But, my lady took her time and did an outstanding job. I love Wendy, and I will return specifically for her services. She even let me test a couple colors on my nails before I made a commitment to color. I like the new polish, I think it's called DND. I especially like this brand because they made two identical options for gel, or natural nails. The glitter options are my favorite. The atmosphere in there is drab. Honestly the owners need to give this place an update. We pay too much for a manicure for it to be in such drab mediocre conditions. I will return for Wendy and Her services, but for no other reason. This is the only place I've ever gotten a gel manicure. I don't get it often because it's expensive and probably not as healthy for your nails as a regular manicure but I needed it to last a month while I was on vacation. They had so many colors to choose from and they were all nice. It's a bit pricey at $40 but I'm not sure what the going rate is at other salons for a gel manicure. Nevertheless, it pays off if you are going to wear it for a while. The girl who did my nails was very nice and took her time helping me. The lady who did my pedicure also did a great job. I've gone here many times and have always been pleased. It's a pretty big shop and there are always a lot of people there but I've never had to wait.  It's just a regular manicure and pedicure place with no fancy massage chairs or anything which is fine for me but if you are looking for that type of place then this isn't it. They do give massages though! The place was very clean.They are pretty fast. My gel manicure and regular pedicure took less than an hour.The location of this place is great. There are lots of shops around here as it is close to Rodeo Drive. There are also a bunch of places to eat. A blowdry place is a couple doors down which is very convenient if you are getting your hair and nails done. There's street parking at the meters in front.I had a celeb spotting here! It was over priced for what you get. They do the bare minimum everything is an add on. Had a pedicure and it was the worse one I have ever had and my manicure my finger were cut and bleeding. The customer service was terrible I am very surprised they are still in business. I first went there about 4 years ago and it was wonderful. This nail salons only do hot wax I only like threading for my face. There's was a lady name Van who use to do it but left L.A. to NY. I heard she asked for a guys number and got rejected. I was there that day and saw her disappointed and reacted like a crazy person. Women ... There's a lot of drama in the nail salons. Same thing with Kim with the 2 huge big boobs. After she left her husband for her millionaire lover, she got rejected. (April Fools) I was there that day and her behavior was like an animal. I was also there that day. This is my opinion. This place will not last long. The owner and workers would always try to over charge the bill. Especially Linda Watch Out for her... She always tries to cheat me on the bill every time single time. Before I thought these were nice decent people because I would always see them pray to their god. How can you pray and try to cheat people at the same time? I confronted Linda about over charging my bill and she tried to make up new services. You got caught!!! Just admit it... The owner had nothing to say about. What kind of a business are you running? Wow! Definitely the worst nail experience I have ever had. Very unfriendly staff, they sent me home without the paper flip flops b/c i didnt have a dollar in cash, so I let my toes dry about 15 min and then put my shoes on, of course the got smudges so I returned to ask for a touch up and to buy the paper flip flops and they wouldn't sell them to me, yet again I walked out unhappy and barefoot. I walked 4 blocks with no shoes, and not one staff member was concerned! Worst $40 I have ever spent!! I have been going to this nail salon for a few years, yet I do not recommend it. Out of 25 nail artists, there are only two who do a good job. I have called to schedule appointments in the past, only to arrive early and still have to wait, or, better yet, to have the owner try and shuffle me to one of her other manicurists. I then discovered they don't write down any appointments, but just tell you to come in. If after all this, you still would like to try this place, the manicurists I recommend are Tu and Mai. If they try and sit you with any one else, don't go. Your nails will look good that day, but in a few days you will see your cuticles tearing, and your nails will peel. Read Less
