The worst place ever. Wanted to try this place and it was the lesson not to go to new places. Horrible job i had to tell to remove my cuticles. I ended up here by total mistake thinking I had walked into another nail salon in the next block where I had an appointment. I sat in Amy Nails for 30 minutes before realizing, Oops, I'm at the wrong nail salon! By then this nice lady was coming over to do my manicure. I told her what happened, but leaving would have been really rude, so I stayed and Tina (the nice lady) did my nails. She put so much care and detail into my manicure until I considered leaving with bare nails, no polish because my natural nails looked that perfect. She did everything on point spending well over an hour perfecting every detail. I showed her a picture of the nail color I wanted, after realizing I was looking at a picture from the other nail salon, and even though Amy's did not have the exact same glitter polish, Tina was great at finding something similar, and the end result was even better. I love my nails, can't stop staring at them. As for the nail salon, it's basic, nothing fancy or over the top. However, it's very nice and a great place to come to in the evenings because it's pleasingly quiet and relaxing. The ladies working there were pleasant and focused, and everyone seemed happy with their mani/pedis. Oh, and they have GEL COLORS GALORE, dozens and dozens of great colors to choose from, including glitters and metallics. Do not go here !!! Me and my friend made an appointment for mani pedis at 4, they said they had availability and scheduled the appointment. I get there on time and tell them we were the ones that made the appointments. I go to choose my colors and as I'm choosing a lady comes in and asks if they can do mani pedi and they say yes. Anyway, once I choose my color I go to the bathroom and they begin to do my friends nails. When I come out of the bathroom the lady who walked in after me and did not have an appointment is getting her nails done, and there is no one to do my nails.... I waited 40 minutes and kept asking them when my nails were going to get done and they said after the other lady... I pointed out that I made an appointment and she didn't and they did not care. If you come here plan to wait. I've been sitting here for 35 mins with foils on my nails to take my existing gel off before getting a gel manicure. The lady didn't even come back to check on me. Had a very uncomfortable experience very unfriendly staff. 1 star for clean place and 1 star for color choice. WORST SERVICE I EVER RECEIVED! BIG WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I rate this place as a MINUS-10! Tina lied to me about the services and times. It took 2 long hours just to get a change of paint when that is Not the service I requested or wanted.The service was the worst I have ever experienced. Tina was rude and nasty. I can't believe they are still in business!When I arrived and asked if I could get Gel nails and Tina replied, "Yes, the entire process will take 40 minutes." However, 2 hours later it turns out that no one in the store was capable of doing gel nails. They started my nails but then made me wait around for 30 minutes at a time promising they were sending someone over who could do the job. It turns out, no one in the store knew how to do the service. Since I paid up front, I asked for my money back but they refused. It was getting close to closing time so they offered to slap on a change-of-paint instead. I love Amy's nails. They are the best place to go on Robertson. They give manis and pedis that are far surperior from most other nail salons in their class. I also just got tips done there for the first time and they are so great! Even my guy gave me a compliment and he usually doesn't notice stuff like that ;p Also, Amy does amazing eyebrows that are better than a brow shaping place I used to shell out a ton of money for.
