MY NATURAL LASHES ARE DESTROYED!BEWARE OF LASH EXTENSIONS AT THIS LOCATION!I made an appt here for a full set on Wednesday, Jan.10, 2018.The woman I booked with online was very sweet, as was the woman doing my lash extensions. The problem was not with them. I have been getting lash extensions for almost two years. I have gone with the same woman for two years and wanted to try someone new. During the experience my eyes were burning SO bad and I let my technician know, and all she said was "it is the glue, it will stop burning once it dries." This I know is not true. As I have been getting lashes for two years, it has burned very few times and only when I slightly opened my eyes by accident.  When she was done, I opened my eyes after a 45 minute FULL SET service, which normally takes atleast an hour and a half or more; they were still burning and my lashes felt extremely heavy. I knew immediately that something was not right. My eyes began to swell and I got out to my car after paying a full $125, to see lashes attached to my skin and literally 8+ lashes on one lash!!! They are supposed to be applied individually to keep the natural lashes from breaking. She also used loads of glue which was weighing down my lashes. I called my lash girl to get them removed THAT night. I had to call off work just for this!! I know better than to keep heavy lashes on my eyes like that. I called the business back, and they told me they could not refund me until I talked to the owner, although the receptionist was very kind and apologized. I called the owner later that day, before I went to get the lashes removed and she was very rude, had no compassion for my situation, and told me I would need to come in to get them removed there! I was not going back! I do not trust anyone there to deal with my lashes. She agreed to give me back half of my money, although I had to go pay more to get them removed and skip work that night,  and have asked for the full refund for 2 weeks. It took my lash technician an hour and a half to remove and she took pictures of the clumps and false lashes that were stuck to ONE natural lash. After fully removed, she took pictures of the gaps found in my lashes due to the heaviness and overuse of glue. The photos also show how short they made my lashes just after being on for HALF a day! The owner now messaged me today threatening to get an attorney to contact me for harassment. She accused me of harassing her due to the texts and emails I have sent explaining my situation and asking for my refund. She called me multiple times after I explained I could not talk and needed to text and email instead due to my work.  My technician told me to wait a few weeks before I can get my lash extensions again due to the SEVERE damage that my lashes received from this salon. I left crying and I am contacting the Board of Cosmetology today to let them know about the malpractice being done here. Again, the technician and receptionist were both very kind and nothing personal to them. The owner has been very unprofessional and I will let any female I know about my horrifying experience here. I used to go to this nail shop when it was located in San Carlos and have always been impressed by the service and quality they provide. I went in today to the new location in Belmont and when I walked in I was welcomed by name!!! It's been almost two years since I've last seen the clientele. That was an amazing experience. I have been here before and today's experience with Diana is very different. I asked for removal of the nail powder polish I was wearing and a regular manicure. Diana was not happy and talked several times about the benefits of the gel and how I was going to chip the. Will color. She kept asking if I wanted gel/shellac and I said no thank you at least 5 times.She went for the drill and I know that in order to remove the powder, there is light filing of the top coat and then soaking the nail with acetone. After a couple of mins the powder peels off and some filing for cleaning is done.Diana only filed, and filed and filed so hard that when she used the acetone, I felt the cotton on my nail bed.At that point I had already asked for less filing and since it seemed that it was joy going to stop, I asked her to stop and I left the salon.To be fair Diana told the cashier that she only removed the color, she actually removed my nail but that is my experience.I want to believe that they are not familiar with the powder and that she wanted to be fast to have more customers and was not going to let a 20 min manicure keep her from another client.
