I asked that she please NOT cut my cuticles, but just push them back. She said she couldn't do that, and cut them anyways. After applying very thick layers of gel polish, and setting each layer, she proceeded to file down the ends and sides of every nail.I was not happy to get the $34 bill for this practice session.I will not be back. They do a decent job, but I won't be back. It's the closest nail salon to my house which is why I've been at repeat customer. Today I went in for a mani/pedi and the woman who helped me wasn't all that friendly. She seemed like she was in a bad mood. She worked on my pedicure and the whole time I was wondering if anyone would help with my nails. When she finished, she just asked "how are you paying?" She said nothing about the manicure I had indicated I wanted from the start, which was annoying. So I told her "I also wanted a manicure, but forget it" She pretty much ignored my comment- no apology, nothing. I really didn't have time to sit around for another 40 minutes for my nails anyway. I usually have a decent time coming here, but I have a few issues now. The last time I came, they said there's just a little wait. I wouldn't consider a 40+ minute a "little wait!"The most recent time I went, I saw that someone posted in yelp that they offer dip powder. On some of their nail polish brands they also had a sticker that stated that the colors are available in dip powder. So instead of getting gel, I decided to get dip powder. I told the lady doing my pedicure that's what I wanted and she nodded her head and said yes. By the time it was time to do my manicure she was about to do gel polish when I reminded her that I wanted dip powder. She tells me in broken English that she does not know how. Turns out there's only one person there who knows how to do it! Why advertise it then ???? And why not tell me earlier ?? The main guy in charge is the one who knows how to do it. I waited for half an hour for him to do my nails because I was really curious about it. Dip powder seemed really cool at first, but then the color seemed really weird. My nails were discolored! I waited thinking they'll magically become one color again...like the color I chose from their samples. The main guy just kept going on with my discolored nails....not even caring how hideous they will look. By the time I realized that the magic isn't going to happen....I spoke up and said ...it's not even one color.... and he says ...yea I've never done this color ...the darker colors look good.If someone won't admit they made a mistake or even apologize that they were still learning how to use it properly ....it's just not worth the time nor the money! Called ahead to make an appt for 1 o'clock and they didn't even ask for my name so I was a bit confused on how they'd know who made the appt. I arrived at 1:15, which was my fault, and was just asked what I wanted to be done. I said I wanted a gel manicure. I waited an hour and a half until someone finally came to start my manicure. The owners were very nice, frequently asking if I wanted anything to drink, but the nice offers just didn't override the wait for me. My nails turned out great, the guy did seemed to be a bit rushed since they were so busy, but they look fine. Not sure if the wait is worth it though. The price is also a little bit more than I'd hope to pay. $37 for gel French tips. I had heard allot of good things about victor, I'm very picky about my nails so thought I would give him a try, my nails turned out ok but I felt like I was being rushed, they needed to be shaped more, he had other people waiting on him and left me for someone else to finish, he didn't even give me time to wash before applying polish, Kenny on the other hand does a great job on my pedicure, then the hostess made an announcement about my small tip of 1.00 sort of rude to say the least, but I felt that was all he deserved for not finishing the job. This is by far the best salon in town! They are so accommodating. I brought in my two year old daughter and they managed to do gels on her, they also gave me a baby gift because I'm due next week. I have been to this salon twice now. Once back in the beginning of January and I went again two days ago. I have to say I am VERY impressed! The first time I went with my mom and we spent the whole time chatting with the guys doing our pedicure instead of on our phones. I like that! The same thing happened a couple days ago. I had this awesome girl (I believe her name was Ann?) doing my toes and we had such a fun conversation. So much better than awkwardly staring at your phone for an hour.Anyways, the perks are this salon is clean, well decorated, efficient, and friendly. I've never had to wait to get a pedicure. Someone on staff always offers me a complimentary soda/water/juice ASAP. I like that they use the fresh citrus on you after the exfoliating scrub! It smells fresh and feels cool. They also put fake flower things in your water. Oh, and they are clean. They use the foot tub covers!My favorite pedicure spot. I will go across town to this place because it is worth it for the level of service they provide. The prices are also reasonable! I get the 2ND level up pedicure and it costs $31 with cash or $33 with card. It's my go to. Check this place out! Read Less
