Worst gel manicure I've had. Sloppy work and incredibly rushed as they booked too many appointments at 11:30. My nail was filed down to the skin and my cuticles are bleeding. There is nail polish all over my hands and fingers. Will never be back. Read Less

I have been in here 3 times because it is so close to my home. It is the WORST place around, in my opinion. They are always so rushed so I never feel like I am relaxed. Each time there have been major mess ups on my nails. This time, I have 3 cuts and 1 pretty deep on my finger. It's also more expensive than other places around. Lastly, the girl who did my nails was moving my purse and somehow dropped my brand new kombucha bottle on the floor. It cracked and spilled everywhere. She didn't offer to pay for it or take a few dollars off my mani/pedi. I just felt they are repeatedly rude and hasty and I'm upset that I have so many cuts and my nails look below mediocre. This nails place was not a pleasant experience. The welcome, as a first time customer, was not very warm. While not busy, there was still a vibe of "we are busy".  Due to the disastrous results of Election Day, I had bitten off all my nails. The male worker did a very poor job (only nail job worse was by another man at a Capitola nails place), berated me for biting my nails and when I stated that the cuticle removal was not good, went over them again showing me the gunk in the clippers many times, apparently to prove a point. I have been going here for years with my whole family and it is sad to say I won't be back. My last visit was a disappointment from start to finish.I called ahead and asked for a 2:15 slot, they said 2:30 which was fine. I arrived at 2:20 so I would have plenty of time to pick my polishes. After staring at the selection I could not find anything in season or not clumpy and old. I headed down to cvs and bought 2 new Essie polishes. I went back up at 2:30 and sat for another 20min. Finally, someone directed be to a tub and I let them know I was a bit crunched on time. After 30min the final product was a bleeding finger, uneven nails, streaky polish, and an unpleasant vibe.I still tipped and was rushed out the door with no "thank you".  To add to the frustration after an hr I looked down and saw not smudges but 3 chipped nails. I went to this salon recently and it was very busy, but efficient!  Very clean.  The workers don't sit and talk all loud to eachother so you can't understand what they are saying and yelling about ( and you always think it's about you!) lolAnyway an overall quiet and relaxing.  Foot massage and Pedicare the Best.  Hot towls and a nice leg rub down leaves you feeling relaxed. Ive only been there a couple of times. Today was my second time. In the past I have had males work on my nails. Every time, except for one rare occasion, it turned out being a total failure and disaster. Today I went in and met Danny. I didn't want to hurt his feelings but based on the past times not working out I tried to ask for someone else. There was another customer who assured me that he was the best. I thank that wonderful woman. Danny was not only gentle with my hands, but he was also patient. He restored my faith of allowing a male to work on my nails. I love this little salon.
