I got pink acrylic nails and a pedicure. The lady that did the acrylics was very quiet but did a pretty good job. It just seemed like she was in a hurry & left right after so I didn't even get to tip her. The lady that did my pedicure was really sweet & I would definitely come back to her again. Just not the other lady, I would go somewhere else to get my acrylics done. I just wish their customer service was a little better. Another thing, they have a sign outside that says "Full set for $14.99 if you're a new customer or a student" I showed her my student ID & she says it was $18? I mean its still not expensive but I just don't like being told a price when at the end it's not even true. Read Less

I went in to get a french manicure and at first I was very happy with how it came out. Very cheap compared to most places so I was content. It wasn't until about a half an hour later that the top coat revealed a bunch of bubbles and that it had dried all bumpy. As if that wasn't bad enough the next day two nails chipped. I came here to get my nails done for prom and was not impressed at all. The water they had me put my feet in was lukewarm and the chair was a run-down office type chair that was not comfortable at all. My nails looked decent for prom, but only 4 days later they were majorly chipped and unattractive. We called today to see how long it was supposed to last and they said 1-2 days. At 30+ dollars I would expect it to last at least a week or two. Seeing that the sign says 14.99 for a student, which is a lie, for a full set, my $30 was unhappily spent. I came here for a manicure as it was super cheap, and convenient to where I work. I walk in, and the place was DEAD. The employees were just sitting around - one was napping, the other playing on her phone, one reading a magazine...if this was the desert, there would be tumbleweeds going through this place. One of the ladies gestures to the nail polish for me to pick a color...they were covered in dust and looked like they haven't been cracked open since the 1980's. I pick a color, and sit down and proceeded to get the worst manicure I ever received in my life. I could have done my own nails better than this. After the manicure was over, I go to get my credit card, and the lady tells me "cash only." I had to run across the street to an ATM and run back to give them cash. About three hours later my polish started to chip off. What a waste! I will never go back here again! This place just plain sucks. Read Less

Meh... I just had a pedicure with my sister and the service was so-so. I was the only one who was offered the calluses remover when we were hoping to have silky soft feet. The girls who were working on my family didn't say anything to then regarding what type of shape, color, or additional add ons. Also, when my girl was trimming my nails she basically cut the side of my toe nail and then proceeded to rip out the rest (wasn't the most pleasant feeling and I'm sure will be a hang nail when it grows back in.) She could tell I was in pain and said, "ohh are you going to cry?! Don't cry. Are you crying again?!"--basically bullying me and kept doing what she was doing when clearly I was in pain.--And I didn't even shed a tear. We were the only ones in the salon and then when more customers came in for services their speed instantly changed to get us out of there.Would I come back? Probably not. Read Less

I went to this place because it was really close to my house and they had a banner claiming to do Full Sets for $14.99. Once I was there I showed to lady SEVERAL pictures of the type of nails that I wanted. The lady agreed that she was able to do what I wanted. When it was all said and done my nails shape was completely crooked and it was not $14.99 as stated on the banner outside. The lady, who I assume was either the owner or the manager, said it would be $20.00 - I told her that the sign says $14.99 and her reply was "that is if you are a student". I told her that it does not say that on the sign and that she needs to honor what it states on the sign. Then she proceeded to give me another excuse saying that it was $20.00 because I got my nails long. They weren't even long  - the were barely over my figure tips! All the women that I encountered at this place were extremely rude and and unfriendly. I would NEVER go back to this place again!I had to go to another place the next day and have my nails removed and I had to pay for a new full set. Luckily that place was amazing and I go to them about 2 to 3 times a month. Do a good job and treat your customers with respect and they will be loyal to you! This is how you retain business!!! Let me start by saying now that I have had a moment to chill-out, I feel really bad I left the salon so angry I didn't tip my manicurist...so, if they were yelping me - I would probably get a bad review too.But, anyhow, their customer service sucks.  This story is convoluted - so read on only if you want proof.  They gave me attitude.  Weren't clear on communicating that they would only accept one of two of the gift certificates I brought in (the reason that I went there).  The one they wouldn't accept was a year old (no listed expiration date).  They said they would do a gel manicure in exchange for both certificates and then when all was said and done; said that they were only honoring them for a gel paint job - since the girl filed my nails - I owed $7.  This was all AFTER she had totally botched the first round of paint.  Now, if you've never had gel put on your nails - once it's set, it is gnarly to get off.  She used one of the electric nail files to remove most of it and then had me soak my fingers in finger nail polish remover - my cuticles and fingers were totally sore by the time we went for round two.  Once all was said and done my nails look okay - not terrible.  But the experience was awful - they were completely unsympathetic - and had the nerve to ask for money when my two certificates well exceeded the manicure.($26 in certificates; the gel manicure retails for $21).  Will not be back; even if I end up with another certificate next Christmas. My nails were decent enough.  Nothing special.  I had an eyebrow wax and that did not turn out well.  I had to go home and tweeze out what was missed and they were clearly visible.  My biggest problem with this place is that they not only charge you a $1 to run your card but then you can't tip on it.  Cash only for tips.  I didn't know this going in and they were downright nasty and made me feel so uncomfortable when I didn't have the cash to tip them.  So much for customer service. Great little salon. Beautiful, nice, new massage chairs! Nice staff too. Payed extra for "calous removal" and all they did was use a pumice block for a few minutes...which is usually part of any other pedicure I've received. Read Less

I visited "At the Top Nails" salon with my wife.  She has been going to this salon for years.  I expressed a desire to get my feet done a few months back, but didn't have the nerve to go.  I finally went with her on a whim Saturday afternoon (July 30, 2011).  Wow!!!! I never knew my toes could look this good.  I was embarrassed to have the young woman work on them, but I finally relaxed and enjoyed it.  After she finished, I nodded to my wife about tipping the young woman.  My wife said she would handle the tip.....well I decided to tip "Vy" on my own.I found out a mani and a pedi combo would only be $18, and the pedi alone was $13.  I personally thought this was way too little for the great job Vy did.  And the $10 tip was well worth it!I will return, without my wife, now that I have the courage.And I think men should visit this salon as well.Thanks Vy!!!!
