The salon took my daughter and granddaughters right away and told me it would be a ten minute wait. After 30 minutes I told them I no longer had time for a full mani pedi and now could only get a polish change.  After 15 more minutes I noticed that they took people who had walked in after me. I just had my nails done here, mani and pedi. the mani was a dip powder and the person doing it didn't bother to clean the excess color off the rest of my fingers. i didn't think much of it until I got home and tried to wash it off and I have paint all around my fingernails. it looks like a 9 year old painted my nails for me. I really enjoyed my pedicure at this location!! The pedicures here range from $25 and up depending on how lux you want it. I made an appointment that day, and when I came in they were able to seat me right away! Which is always nice.Sandy was wonderful! Time and care was spent on my nails and they turned out great! I love happy nails and always go, but my experience this time was awful. I wanted my acrylics off and when the person was taking the first one off he ripped my nail off and didn't care at all, it started bleeding and hurt so bad. He continued to put a fake nail over it and rip the other ones off, until I had to tell him to soak them off. Worst experience, my pinky nail is still bleeding and hurt so bad, I won't be going back to this happy nails, very disappointed by my experience. Read Less

I asked for a full set, ombré and coffin shaped, they said they could do it. Terrible work after 2 hours, I complained and they said for the ombré they needed a special brush, well they could have said they couldn't create it and I would have gone somewhere else. I ended up at Happy Nails when my nail girl decided to only work Sundays and Mondays.  Since these days don't work well for me I thought I would try the location closer to me in Aliso Viejo.  Vivian gave me a new set of silk nails with gel and I just love them.  Much better than what I have had previously and all the girls are very friendly and give great customer service.  As I left I scheduled my next two appointments with Vivian.  Looks like I have found a new nail salon? I went on Friday, March 27th in the afternoon since I had a broken fill. Firstly, the chubby girl who is the receptionist has been repeatedly rude (not just this time). Second, the guy who was getting my broken fill done did a terrible job (in a hurry, hurt my skin under my nail, the new fill looked terrible in shape, polish was so bad that he had polish all over my finger and didn't bother to clean them, I had to ask him to do it after he was done and wanted to leave). On top of all these, the guy never apologized and the receptionist was laughing at it and telling me that he did what I wanted him to do. I've been a regular customer of this place since January and only went there since it's so close to my house. I've been disappointed with the service and their behavior way too many times. Problems with this place:1. Inconsistent quality of work (some staff may do a good job while others are terrible)2. One particular receptionist who was there in Friday 3/27 is extremely rude and unprofessional. She is number 1 reason I won't waste my money there. 3. One staff was too pushy for extra tip which I found very offensive. My suggestion: 1. Get rid of your chubby receptionist with glasses. She really turns customers away. 2. I'll start by saying I've been going to happy nails for years. I used to live in Irvine and would go to the same person every 4 weeks. When I moved, driving to Irvine didn't seem as practical so I decided to give this location a shot. I went for a mani pedi with my mother in law. The ladies seemed nice, but what seemed great initially quickly went downhill. My manicurist was so busy chatting that she wasn't paying attention to where she was filing and spent the majority of the time filing my cuticles and down onto the rest of the skin below my nail bed. She then proceeded to pour alcohol onto the raw skin. I now have scabs from it. Throughout the entire process she sat a little far away to my left side, but rather than scooting closer to make things easier, she continually tugged on my hand to pull me closer to her. (While she did my right hand I was entirely twisted onto my left side and so uncomfortable). I feel like I would've been more prone to letting this stuff go in my polish was great, but even that was average at best. Most of my nails have two distinctive coats of the same color, leaving awkward lines to the left or the right or at the bottom- like she forgot to finish the top layer. Overall just a very disappointing experience at this location. If you're looking for a great manicure, go to happy nails off Barancca at the crossroads center. Ask for Rose. She never disappoints. I came in a pretty busy day, but all of the staff are friendly.  I had a gel manicure done by Kathy and she did an absolutely amazing job! I don't like their method of up selling. As soon as you walk in and tell them what you want they they ask do you need eyebrows or lip wax or massage. NO! If that's what I wanted, then that's what I would have asked for. One time I came and they tried to convince me to get two different shades of pink on my hands and feet since the pink I wanted belonged to the lady doing my pedicure and not to the woman doing my nails. As a customer, I don't care who bought the polish! When you go into a nail shop you assume all polishes presented to you are up for grabs. Guess not.
