Last night I called the nail shop to see if they had time for an appointment on short notice. They said yes, come in. When I got there, I was told sorry, no there are people ahead of you and we can help you in an hour. My only ask is that given you were busy, I would have been fine with, sorry we're booked up this evening however we are available tomorrow. Rather than leading me on to believe you could fit me in before 6:30pm when the shop closes at 7, I would have appreciated knowing this ahead of time. Honesty is a virtue. I have been coming to the nail shop for years and this kind of stuff just isn't impressive. However the owners are nice but when  they are busy or aren't present, the shop isn't well-organized. this place is legit going down hill. sure, there's like 2 nail techs worth coming here for but just a heads THIS PLACE NEVER EVER KEEPS APPT TIMES! don't come here expecting for them to be ready for you because they always cram in as many clients as they can. as a personal trainer i totally understand how important scheduling is for my clients. this place cant schedule to save their life and it negatively affects the customers. on several occasions this place has either made me late to somewhere else, made me get a parking ticket, made me cancel plans all together or didn't even write my appt time in. dont even try to get to the root of the problem either. trust me, that's a waste of time bc all they do is blame each other for why you arent being seen according to appt time. what a mess! i've been coming here for 7 years or more, so long that i cant even remember at this point and things just keep steadily declining. get it together! Had a relaxing Manicure  and pedicure last night. These ladies work hard! The spa looked clean and they use the plastic liners in the pedi chairs. I can't guarantee that the tools were clean but I've worked in a nail salon and well just say as long as you don't get nipped your fine. My lady was friendly and did a great job. Was planning to go a different salon nearby while fam was eating at the Thai restaurant next door but then saw this placeThis was at 6:30 - I walked in and asked a tech what time they closed. She didn't answer but told me to go ahead and pick out the color for my pedi and gel manicurePicked out the regular polish and she motioned to go to the back to pick out a gelthen she went ahead and BREATHED DOWN MY NECK for the total of 2 mins that I decided..yuck. I asked her if they closed at 7 and she said yes, but that they had time for me.. Really wishing I had walked out right then...they already had the water in the pedicure tub, and i did need them didUGH ugly THICK layers of gel on my right hand. TWO DIFFERENT WOMEN painted each hand. The one with the ugly attitude did a nice job, the other woman was antsy n anxious. We got our (toe)nails did during a spontaneous "girls" night out - my first in at least 3 years and his first in, well, ever. We both chose blues. We got the full service - massage chairs, warm foot spas, lotion leg rub and nail cleaning. Even though it was near closing time, they did not rush their excellent service. The asian ladies don't speak much english, but were smiley and happy. The main boss dude tries to look cool, but you can tell he is passionate enough about his gig - he almost had a panic attack when he thought I was about to put my boots over my recent pedi and insisted I flipflop my way to the car. This place is so ridiculously cheap that we tipped almost 100% on top of the original price. Great times. Read Less

I went here a few weeks ago for my first time and had Rachel, she did amazing, probably the best gel manicure I have ever had.Today was different though... I called and asked if I could come in for a gel manicure in 15 minutes. They said yes but Rachel was busy. Another girl helped me... I had to wait thirty minutes with foil on my nails for someone.... I was there for an hour and a half for a gel manicure.... Then the girl butchered my nails. They are all different shapes. My nails were totally fine before, the shape was perfect. All my nails are long on one end and short on one side. I am so upset. And they are SOOO short. I said yes to cutting but she BUTCHERED THEM. She just had no idea what she was doing. I hate to write this but her name was EMMA. The gel is just as bad... She didnt even try to get close to the cuticle... They look like they are a week grown out. I will have to get my nails done in one week instead of two. I am mortified by the whole experience this time. So rushed, unhelpful when I needed color help, so busy and over booked. Went to this shop after a terrible experience with the one I've been going to for years. Sophia corrected my gel polish and did an excellent job! I had a great experience but unfortunately I believe my big toe is infected due to discomfort and it being swollen/red. They don't use new tools with every client so there's a 99% chance my toe got infected/irritated due to the manicurist digging continuously at my cuticle.  Lesson learned...won't be back. Read Less

I really wanted to love this place. My friend uses this salon faithfully and she is generally exceptionally pleased with her nails. However both times that I've visited, their customer service was extremely poor, and I left disappointed with my nails. My friend says that there is one really good technician (I won't mention any names) but her attitude really  stinks. Walking into a business where no one knows how to smile or engage in friendly conversation gives me funeral home vibes.   I'll continue to take my business elsewhere. Read Less

8yo daughters mani w/design was perfect besides the fact that both flowers fell off within 24 hours. But my gel manicure was wonderful until the design...I would much rather someone tell me they can't achieve what I showed them instead of saying yes they could do it, I got jewels all over my ring finger nail when it was supposed to be just along the cuticle and she put such a heavy top coat of gel that the jewels did not shine. $44 and a day later and jewels have popped off so I took the rest off myself. I've been a customer here for a couple of years and I try to justify my visit every time I go here. Unfortunately, I can't go with hit-or-miss anymore and will stop coming.My pedicure was fine and the massage with it was okay, but they never scrub the bottom of your feet enough here. During my last visit, I was grossed out at the fact that the tools she used to clean my feet with were immediately tossed back in the box they came from. No cleaning, no alcohol wipes, not even a rinse ugh.But the ultimate reason I won't come here anymore is they charged me $20 instead of the $18 I signed off on my receipt for. I get it, $2 isn't a big deal but I did tip her in cash. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of, especially for half ass service. Unless you want someone fraudulently adding tips on your receipts, can't recommend them. Plus your risk for infection with uncleaned tools is very high. Read Less

My niece and I had a "aunt niece day" We walked from the beach in alameda down to park st, for dinner. Our whole day was pleasant and had a wonderful time catching up, we'd played in the sand for hours. Our hands needless to say was a mess! We decided to have dinner at Burma superstar, the wait was 1 hour at least! So we decided to walk next door and see if they where available for 2 manicures, to my surprise they were! My sister has expressed her frustration of long waits before. But as my experience no waiting, nice service friendly staff a bit of small selection on nail polish, which is why the 4 star but nice manicure diligent yet not rushed and nice short hand massage. It was $17 dollars for my niece and I which is not to bad for the quality. I really liked the decor, most important it was clean and sanitary, I am a stickler for cleanliness and it passed my test! I don't normally come this way to get my nails done, but sincerely had a really good experience.  Sophia did  a really great job on the shape and was really meticulous on doing the french manicure.  For $15 you get a nice massage and I thought Sophia was really nice. Read Less

They do a Horrible job. I had acrylic nails done and in one month I had to come back 5 times because the Polish and the acrylic kept chipping. I also noticed they use soiled utensils on customers. That's disgusting. Read Less

I have had about a dozen pedicures here and the service is great. What is most apparent is the gentlemen who operates the shop, he walks around constantly coaching ensuring the customers are satisfied with the service.  Whenever I'm in the area this place is definitely one of my favorite places to get a pedicure.
