This was the worst and most unbelievable experience that my mom and I have ever had in our lives. First: It is tiny. There is not a relaxing feeling here. The decor and space is completely unmemorable which could be forgiven if the experience was wonderful.Second: They have very few Shellac colors from which to choose. Third: We tried to communicate repeatedly throughout the visit and both of the people working - we assume the owners - could not or did not want to understand.Fourth: We were rushed, our shellac manicures were rushed, and our pedicures were rushed. Fifth: My female technician was very rude and made me nervous and uncomfortable. She refused to touch my leg, because I had about three red dots of eczema. She kept pointing at it and refused to touch my leg even though I attempted to tell her repeatedly that it wasn't contagious. I have never had a nail tech do this to me. All nail techs usually have gloves on and just do not make you feel awkward like that. She even initially skipped the hot rocks that they put in between your TOES (not my right leg with a few dots of eczema) unfortunately only for about 10 seconds - and the 30 second hot rock leg massage that my mother had on her legs, because of that tiny 3 dots of eczema. Frustrated, my mom and I explained to my mom's nail tech that my rock massage had been skipped as to which finally, he explained to my tech that she needed to apply the rocks to my legs and feet too. She audibly sighed again and put the rocks in between my toes and would only touch the top of my FOOT with the LEG rock. When I was moving from the pedicure to the manicure table, she would not help me move any of my belongings - I picked up my shoes, my purse, and my phone and tried to make my way over to the manicure table - keep in mind that this is a very small business. When I reached the manicure table with my belongings, my big toenail polish had smudged a bit. I do not know if I bumped it or what had happened. I told her right away, and she rolled her eyes at me and blew out her breath in annoyance embarrassing me again grabbing my foot and applying polish over the smudge in one swipe. After she repaired my toenail quickly, she started to work on my fingernails. In vain, I tried to explain that my thumbnail always has to be filled, because it was smashed and broken in a car door years ago, and it is ridged and will not grow past a certain point. She knew that there was filler on my nail, because she was working with tools to try to get it off, and I told her that it was filled. She used the electric filer until she burned me badly - which I knew was going to happen. Then, she didn't even refill it. She didn't remove my cuticles at all! She applied the shellac too fast and, if I moved in any way that she did not want or didn't put my hand in the machine fast enough, she would literally smack the top of my hand and shake her head! I have shellac already peeling off after two days, and it is all over my cuticles - anyone knows that shellac cannot get on your skin or it will peel off of the skin and come off of the adjoining nail. I have never had a shellac manicure not last two days. They usually last over two weeks. The technician was more worried about my color getting on her skin and spent more time trying to make sure that the shellac in my color didn't get under her fingernails while she was painting my nails versus ensuring that I had a good and professional manicure. She even left some of the blue shellac that I had from my previous manicure on my fingernails, and you can see on the two nails that I still have color on that the shellac is up over my cuticle which should have been trimmed in the first place. She did not massage my hands nor arms either. Sixth: This place is LESS expensive. We paid $30 less than what we normally pay for the same services (both of us together being $90 versus $120). However, the reduced price is not worth it. The only patron that I can recommend this place for is perhaps a man who just wants a basic and fast pedicure or manicure with NO color. Literally, this was the worst experience of our lives in a nail salon. My shellac started coming off in two days, and within five days, I have only two nails left with color. I was embarrassed. We were rushed. This was not a relaxing experience, and it was mortifying and frustrating with the total lack of communication. Even without good communication, there are basic services and techniques that every nail tech uses for shellac, so that the color will hold such as trimming cuticles properly or keeping the shellac off of the skin next to the nail.
