I usually come to Solar Nails when we come to Hot Springs and to the lake. I've been here before to get a pedicure and it was done fairly well. Today I came for a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. The pedicure was nice...the "Orange Pedicure" that includes an orange scrub and rock massage. It was very relaxing! But, the relaxation ended there when the eyebrow wax started...I get my eyebrows waxed in nail salons often in my hometown, so I'm use to the pain that comes with it. But, the lady who did the eyebrow wax here at Solar Nails must have not been paying attention in class at cosmetology school. She used a TON of wax. Some of it dropped onto my eyelid and one of my eyelashes. When she ripped (and, boy did she!) the waxing strip off, one of my eyelashes came out and my eyelid came up off my eye. I had to take a few minutes to make sure my contact lens was still on my eye. Not only did she use a ton of wax on that eye, but also on the other...which caused her a couple of times to get ONE waxing strip off. If you've ever had your eyebrows waxed, you can imagine what an ordeal that was. She also applied the wax almost to my hairline. Like I said, I can handle the pain of an eyebrow wax. It really doesn't hurt that much, but I left this place in tears because of the pain it caused. My face is throbbing and looks like someone smacked me in the eyes. If you're looking for a good place for a pedicure or manicure, this is a fairly good place to go, but, for your own safety, please go somewhere else for an eyebrow wax. Because of this disastrous, painful, and unprofessional eyebrow wax, I must give Solar Nails two stars. So disappointing (and painful...did I mention that?). Read Less
