Poor service and my concerns were discounted at my last visit. Staff argued with me simply because I had questions about the powdered nails process, a process that was new to me. I guess he figured he was the expert, so I should just go along with it. Im rating 1 star because I can't do 0 and tell my service. I brought in a picture of what I wanted done Which was very simple to the extent I've done it at home on my nails but I wanted acrylics. My best friend and I just wanted manicures and pedicures for our day out and free of being mom. Not only did we pay $150 but the people were very rude and you could tell they just wanted to get it done for you to leave, leaving money in their hands. I was very unsatisfied with the designs, as they couldn't follow a simple picture and were very careless with the simplest line on the nail. Not even fully covering the tip of the nail from one side to the other nor caring that 9/10 of the lines were barely showing. 1.) Did the design wrong to begin with 2.) Didn't even properly fix the issue that I pointed out to her 3.) In do much of a rush to get us out of the salon that they barely touched the paint to the nail but had no problem watching youtube $150 wasted because I'm almost certain I could've done better from home. I went to Bekee since she started working on nails. I was there when she opened the shop and never had nothing but fabulous service every time. She's amazing and always had fun, new, creative things she wanted to try and I was game. Even though I live in Pittsburgh now, I would still consider making an appointment and going to see her. I was turned on to the salon by a friend around the Christmas holidays, and I will never go anywhere else now! The salon is hip, warm, and comfortable. I got my first gel manicure here and will never revert to a plain polish manicure again! It never chips and lasts me at least a month! Steph Ann rocks!! And all the girls are beautiful and friendly! I have had beautiful, fun long lasting (2.5-3.5 weeks) gel manicures from Steph Ann over the last several months. Once when Steph had to cancel last minute due to illness Bekee the owner went above and beyond to contact me and even adjusted her schedule to do my nails for an upcoming event I was attending so that I wasn't inconvenienced. I usually would just go to the salon in Wal Mart since Sunni always did good. But I went here last night and he did EXACTLY what I had asked for! I always like my nails a certain way and he knew what I wanted and did it. Sometimes if I couldn't get Sunni at DaVi whoever else did my nails didn't do them right. Star Nails will be my new salon!!
