Le Nail Works has been around for over a decade. Let me preface this review with some basic personal information. Yes, I'm a man than enjoys keeping his hands and feet in top notch condition. I also spend a lot of time in Asia and although it's eccentric, I feel more comfortable around Asians than any other group of people. I enjoy the banter of Vietnamese that I understand 15-20% of what's being said and get a kick out of listening to both the female and male nail techs talking trash about customers while acting like nothing is going on, hilarious. I really do enjoy this place and through the years I've seen over 30 nail techs come and go, but there's a always a really cool vibe here. I've even played cards with some of the techs while getting a pedicure when business is slow. They do a fantastic job and as many people know, a vast majority of nail salons are run by people from Vietnam. This is hard work and often times the newer immigrants to the USA will be sponsored by a family member or friend to come and work as a nail tech after getting a license. I love all people regardless, but I appreciate the struggle that those who really want to be successful go through to come to this country (especially from third world countries, my wife include). I've never been disappointed with the end result of having a manicure and pedicure here. I can tell you that there has been at least 15-20 times I've shown up 10 minutes before they close and they have stayed an extra hour to hour and a half to accommodate me without EVER telling me "No we are closing." That carries a considerable amount of weight as far as going the extra marathon to accommodate a customer. I appreciate the little things that they do here. Making sure I'm comfortable, have water and tell me things that save me money in Lee of taking it from me. An example of the honesty that I've experienced here was when I was getting my fingernails buffed every two weeks and one the techs told me "No, I can't let you do that, it's making your nails too thin and unhealthy, they need a break." I was perplexed? I knew that having my nails buffed was an extra $15 and only took about 15 minutes to do, but they cared enough to warn me and put me on a rotation were I have my fingernails buffed every 10 weeks to preserve the integrity of my fingernails. Many of you might think "Big Deal?" Oh yes it is a big deal when you consider how nail salons run and how nail techs are compensated. Every nail tech is on a rotation for customers unless they get a specific request or have an appointment set. Those with seniority get two or three walk ins to every one for the newer techs. This means that a nail tech can sit for hours getting absolutely no pay and they only keep half of what they make plus tips, so every dollar is a big deal. I hope those of you who read this will take it to heart and make sure that you're generous when tipping at a nail salon, you may very well be providing a single meal for that person when you patronize a location. Many of these techs are taking ESL classes and are living in apartments with 6-8 other new techs in order to get established. I do know that this place is highly reputable and the owner is a kind man that does his best to make sure he helps his techs who are struggling. I appreciate anyone that took the time to read this and who takes what I've said to heart. We should all look out for each other, if you've got the money to have your nails done, don't skimp on your tips! This place is stellar, please give it a try. Read Less
