I won't go back there again! I went with some aunts and cousins for my cousins graduation. Well, first the chair they put me in didn't work and no one seem to care or find someone that could fix it. Then after starting to paint my nails did they tell me it was an extra $3.00 because it was "special". After that they accused me of not paying. The staff was rude and service there sucks. Terrible experience!!!!!! I ask one of the guys to removed an ingrow nail The one on the right side he made it bleed, he apply a liquid and moved on to the one on the left. On the left he wasn't as harsh and did not made it bleed. My right toe continue to hurt for a couple more days and yesterday it look red and purple so I squeeze it and puss came out. I took a picture , I went to the salon to explain what happened .No manager available I was told he would give a call the next day. Then the lady told me he was on vacation. The guy who did my feet got up from doing a manicure and started yelling at me in front of my 2 year old saying it was my fault . That I ask for the ingrow to be removed. I said I understand that, but the fact is that I now have an infection and all I wanted was the insuranse info to go to urgent care. He refused , he then started talking about me on his language with the other employes Then in English with his customer so I lost it, I try to take a picture of him to file a complain and another employee push my arm twice. Even tho I was carrying my kid. Today I called the manager. At first he seem nice and willing to help, but it turns out he gave me fake insuranse information. Girlfriend used a gift card I got her for Christmas. She called me asking for the receipt because they couldn't verify it was their gift card or how much was on it. The receptionist asked her to wait while she contacts the manager to get verification on the gift card. After 30 minutes and no answer my girlfriend asked the receptionist what was going on and she said "it will be just one more minute. After another 15 minutes a woman from the massage room steps out wearing almost nothing and told her she would have to use the gift card next time. Yaaaa.... NO! Completely unacceptable. She returned home over an hour later and said they finally took the card but weren't happy about it.  After she got home and explained further what had happened she told me she will never go back. The so called nail technician used tools from a bag that had other misalanious unpackaged tools she pulled out from underneath a cart. My girlfriend thought it was a little wierd that the tools were not taken from a sanitary package like every other salon. When the "tech" was finished she took the toe separators out of her toes and tossed them back in the same bin she took them out of to use on her. Now im no salaon mamager, but i do know this is not sanitary and is not acceptable practice. We will not be giving any further business to this establishment. Read Less

This place is wonderful. I had a mani pedi today with Spring and she was terrific. She helped me pick a color, didn't rush me through it. She offered me tea or water and treated me like a person. I have been to several places in Surprise trying to find the right one. This is it for me! Read Less

Horrendous!!! I went to get a pedicure and the spa appeared nice enough. In the middle of my pedi the tech noticed one of the fish had died in the tank. She proceeded to walk up and take a photo of the dead fish as my toes were drying. Then she put her hand in the tank and pulled the dead fish out. She was petting the fish for a few minutes and then turned the water on in my foot bath to rinse her hands and asked me if I could dry them for her. (No soap was used, and there... were scales on her arms). She then decided to take an up close photo of the dead fish and send to her boss while dangling the dead fish over my toes. She walked to the back and apparently tried to revive this fish. I never got a top coat on my nails. I am not sure if she ever washed her hands with soap. I still still paid the full amount because I was in total disbelief and just wanted OUT. Worst/ most expensive pedi I have ever had and it was unsanitary!!! Hands down my favorite nail place in Surprise. This place is huge. Walk ins welcome and it is set up beautifully. The staff is nice and actually makes you feel at home. I've tried three other Nail salons around Surprise and they either haven't listened to my request, the polish has bubbles, they speak in their native language and ignore you the entire time. Great conversation and our nails turned out beautiful. The only downside for us was we wanted to get a massage and the massage therapist had left for the day. Awesome massage chairs while getting a pedicure as well. I nearly fell asleep. I also want to add that although the woman who did our nails was leaving right after work to go out of town and we had no appointment took her time with us, ensured she did a great job, and didn't make us feel rushed. Thank you so much we appreciated it so much. Great service should be rewarded. Come and check them out.Dont let some of these reviews fool you. Be prepared to wait!!  Even with an appointment you'll always be at least 30-45 minutes behind.  I've been going here for 3 years. Finally, after my daughter and I were overlooked for more than an hour an a half (and repeated reminders that we were on the list for an appointment and waiting to be seen next) we finally left when people that arrived after us were taken back for services. We've always been courteous, tipped generously, been polite, and waited graciously.  Not any more. I'll never go here again or recommend.  Lastly, their prices have gotten to be ridiculous.  Good riddance. Read Less

Very rude over the phone when we tried to book an appointment for a larger crowd. We were told there's no way they could do it and hung up. Very unprofessional and rude. Although I understand sometimes there are not enough people working, there are ways to be much nicer about it and not hang up. I decided to go to Estrella to treat myself to a fresh gel manicure while in town visiting family. I had gone to this location once in the past and remembered it to be a pretty nice place, but the service I received was awful. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt very unwelcome. My tech barely acknowledged me, even when I tried to start conversation. The manicure was rushed and careless; my cuticles bled when she cut them and she didn't acknowledge it whatsoever. Finally, after she was done, she asked if I liked the color I chose (I chose a color 'mood' changing polish). When I affirmed that I liked the color, she replied dismissively, 'I don't like the mood changing ones, but I guess it's good if you do.' I will not be returning. Read Less

My friend and I showed up without appointments and were taken almost immediately. I got a hot stone pedicure combo and my friend got a hot stone pedicure and nail dip. This place is a joke. My first visit was a little over 6 months ago and it was great! This time, not so much. I have no idea how they are still in business considering the terrible service they provide (or lack thereof I should say). A friend and I had an appointment for 2 pedicures, which shouldn't take longer than an hour to complete, right? Wrong. The first hour of our pedicure was one person jumping back and forth between the two of us, answering the phone, checking people out etc. There was a period where we both sat waiting for 15 minutes for our pedicure to continue. Right when we are debating on just walking out, two people come up to continue. At which point, they are both rushing through the remainder of our pedicure. Horrible service! Came in with my mother and niece to get pedicures and our nails done. They told us they could do it . Finished our pedicures , waited around for about ten minutes wondering are they gonna do our nails. Just to be told after we asked are you guys gonna do our nails .. I went to Estrella because the reviews on Google seemed promising. I was clearly mistaken. I walked in around 4:45pm and was asked "what I needed" and said I would like a Gel Mani and Basic Pedi. I was given a disgusted look that I didn't have an appointment, MIND YOU, there was only 1 other woman in there getting a Pedi. I asked if this was a problem and was told "no, go pick your color". As I tried to pick colors, I over heard two of the workers arguing over who was going to take me. I was given Mary. She was very sweet, offered me water, asked how my day was etc. Then the pedicure started. I've had MANY pedicures done and this was by far the WORST one I've ever had. Water was cold to begin with. No bath salts like usual places do, even though they had them. Massage chairs were uncomfortable. Mary started doing my pedi and the foot massage lasted a whole 3 minutes. She didn't do my cuticles until right before she polished them, which at this time my feet had dried and my cuticles were no longer soft (and she didn't use cuticle softener). Then she got the "hot stones" and the stones were so cold. She quickly polished them, and the pedicure was over. I've never been to a place that has ZERO clients, yet the technician rushed through the pedicure (or any service). I then told her I had to leave before she did my gel mani, as I didn't want to pay to have my nails done there, and done as terrible as my toes. I am glad I left and went elsewhere. I chose to come here because since we moved my regular nail salon is just too far. I really wanted to like this place, but I just can't. I spent $82 for mani/pedi. As soon as I got home I realized that 2 of my gel manicured nails had bubbles in them right in the center. Just taking a shower caused them to pop so I had to fix them myself. 2 days later, the gel is chipping off. I'm not sure what they are doing to their gel polishes that would make it do this. I've been getting gel manicures for years and I've never had bubbles or chips. I have a very busy work schedule so finding time to go back and have them repaired isn't an option. When I first walked in I enjoyed the friendliness of the receptionist. I asked for a mani/pedi, after picking my color I was directed to me seat where I waited an upwards of 45 minutes to have anyone begin my pedicure. There weren't very many customers and a number of employees walked past me several times. The person who came to do my pedicure was not personable at all. She didn't speak and when she did it was only to direct me which ways to move my feet after her forceful shoves didn't work. The nail polish was old for several of the bottles and I needed to pick a different color.The space was clean and had a nice ambiance, but because of all the above, I won't be going back. Read Less

A week ago I came here for a leg wax and pedicure. Both were VERY disappointing!  The lady doing the wax only did the front of my legs. She said "no hair" at the back and then proceeded to use tweezers to pluck hair. Needless to say I had to come home and shave as she "didn't" understand me telling her I wanted front and back of my legs waxed. Really hair only grows on the front!?!?Then at the end of my pedi the polish bottle was empty so this lady poured some liquid in it to stretch the polish after me telling her she couldn't pick a different red because the shade and colour were not the same. Went to Estrella ONCE for Liquid Gel nails.  The girl did not have a CLUE as how to do REAL liquid gel nails.  Not even 24 hours after getting my pink and white "liquid gel" nails done, they were cracking and chipping.  Went here once and ONLY once.  Never will return.  Found a MUCH better nail salon. Walked in to get mine and my daughters nails done and they immediately seperated us. Left my 4 year old on 1 side of the room with me watching her from across the room. They told me they will charge me extra for a french tip pedicure then immediately started arguing with me over what I wanted. The water was to cold for my pedicure and they wouldnt warm it up.
