I called on friday morning at 9:00 AM to make an appoinment for a 10:30 wash and blow dry. Got there early (around 10:15) - and sat there till 10:45. During that time no offer of water/coffee. At 10:45 I asked the two girls at front desk what the status was. They walked around for a couple minutes, had random conversations and then apologized that they messed up appointment and could I wait until 11:40 for a blow dry. They clearly forgot I was there - and were so busy (I am joking) that they forget to check on a client waiting for 30 minutes. HORRIBLE experience, and the least they could have done was have the manager call my cell and apologize as well. For the past 10 years, I've been considering relaxing my hair. In that time, I've been trying to love and appreciate my curls but it never felt quite right for me. So I've been searching and searching, going to many different stylists trying to find someone I trusted, who had the same goals of keeping my hair as healthy as possible while getting me as close to the results that I wanted. I found that Sachi Salon offered relaxers and had glowing reviews so I called and made an appointment for a consultation with Devin Fox. First thing I noticed was the kindness! Everyone I came into contact with was kind and genuine. Two qualities I appreciate so much. Devin ask me very in depth questions about my hair and even my ethnicity to better understand my hair type and how it would respond with the chemicals. He gave me realistic expectations about what this relaxer would actually do for my hair, and what my styling regimen would look like after the treatment. Other stylists that I've had consultations with, simply go over what chemicals I already have in my hair, and price. No matter how many questions I ask, I usually leave feeling uninformed and not excited about the treatment. Not the case with Devin! On top of all this, the price was very reasonable considering the quality of service I was getting. The day of the appointment, I was nervous, but I was immediately put at ease once Devin went to work on my hair. I've watched many youtube videos about relaxers, and it was very clear to me that Devin had my hair's best interest at heart. As we finished up he trimmed my hair and gave me styling tips to do at home which I appreciated. He answered my many questions with knowledgable and thorough answers. Again, as I left, the staff showed me so much kindness which I appreciate. Fast forward 3 days after the treatment and I have experienced no breakage with my hair, it feels better than I ever could have hoped (especially after a relaxer). I've been going to Olga's brow studio for 3 years now and recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain great brows. In the beginning I saw Olga who transformed my 2003 thin high school eyebrows to what I have today.. fuller brows that compliment my face. Olga books weeks out so I started seeing Irena as soon as she joined Olga's studio. I'd highly recommend both Olga and Irena. There's a review that said the customer waited 25 minutes. I have never waited more than 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Upon my first 4-5 appointments I was always asked what I wanted my brows to be shaped like to which I typically went by what was suggested. In my personal opinion the $35 is totally worth it. Allison is so cool and nice, she always finds time to trim my eyebrows even though it's not an official service. However,  when I do feel like a wax, she never overgrooms or makes them too thin which I really appreciate. Recently I received a lash lift from Allison and my eyelashes have NEVER been so beautiful. I use latisse so they were already long and thick but somewhat unruly....this $70 treatment keeps them permacurled and groomed for 6-8 weeks, no mascara necessary. I will definitely NOT be returning. This is why: 1. Place was impossible to find. Note, this place is in the Sachi Salon and not independent. I did not see this anywhere or know this until I tried calling when I was unable to find it. Bad idea to not have this noted anywhere. 2. Don't expect to go in at your appointment time. I came in and ended up waiting 25 minutes past my time. Someone was already in getting theirs done when it was my time. Interesting. 3. Highly over priced!! This erkked me the most. $35 for an eyebrow wax? I've never paid anything so extreme. Let's be clear, I'd be more than happy to if I felt that it was a $35 service but it's not. Stencils are used, strip wax, quick trim/tweeze and that's it. Basically a clean up. Personally, I think using stencils isn't good. You should be able to know your craft if this is what you do for a living without the crutch of stencils. I've never gone anywhere that did this. I also don't know what I paid for otherwise. Hardly anything was waxed. Just fuzzies and the "unibrow" area. There was no true shape added to my brow, nothing to make them thinner or arched...notta. I also was never asked what I wanted or preferred. She just sorta did what she wanted or "what they do". I honestly could have done what she did myself. Highly displeased. 4. I stood out like a sore thumb. I felt highly highly uncomfortable in this salon. 5. I think they thought I knew nothing about brows so tried educating me on what to do. I never said I didn't know anything about them, in fact I'm pretty educated in the area. But again, if anyone asked me any personal questions on the overall subject, they'd know. The two stars is for the fact the girl was nice and the work done was ok. But it was certainly a $20 job at best...nothing wowing or spectacular. Nothing worth $35+tip. Overall, the experience was completely impersonal in respect of asking what I'd like etc. or asking me what I know. I think stencils and strips are for beginners and no real service was done. Just a "clean up" which is not what I wanted. And absolutely not for the cost! I left very mad and will never come back. I recently scheduled an apt with Joshua Paul at Sachi Salon in Scottsadale Az. I was a bit nervous as I have always used the same wonderful stylist that was currently out of town. All I kept hearing from one friend after another was, "you must try Joshual Paul, he IS the best in town" . So I thru caution to the wind and called him. From the moment we first spoke on the phone till the moment he revealed my hair, I KNEW he would live up to his name!! Joshua Paul doesn't give "good" service, he gives ASTOUNDING service. Joshua provided the service and level of personal care of 3 people all in one. He catered to my every need, engaged in conversation and worked faster then anyone I have ever seen. I felt as if I was royalty for just a time and it felt wonderful. My hair is very long and means everything to me. When I saw the quality of work Joshua Paul did on my hair, this is NO JOKE, I almost cried. I felt like a princess!! My hair was dark brown/light black and is now a vibrant and lively blonde, and with NO damage I might add. I was most impressed with how Joshua LISTENED to what I wanted yet had a game plan already mapped out for how to give me a look I never dreamed could happen with my hair. He took the time to listen to me, give constructive feedback and was honest about what he could and just would not do to spare the health of my hair. I am saddened that I now live in Miami and honestly considering flying back to Scottsdale to be treated like royalty again, if ONLY just a bit. This review is for LARRY STEWART. My mother-in-law has been his client for over 40 years. Though she is now 96, she continues to have color, highlights and cuts as needed, and styling weekly. Almost 2 years ago she moved into an assisted living facility and is no longer able to independently manage her checkbook or personal finances. She wanted to continue going to Larry, so arrangements were made for that to happen. Larry texted her charges to my husband every 4-6 weeks, and they were always paid. The charges varied from $425-$775 each 4-6 weeks, but with no explanations. In January, 2014, my husband asked for an itemization of charges to which Larry replied, "I don't do that." He let it go for about 8 months, and again this past August my husband again asked Larry to itemize his charges so that we could better budget her expenses. His reply, "I will no longer work with you." When my mother-in-law's driver called to confirm her next appointment, Larry told him that if she didn't have a check to pay with then don't bring her! He turned away a 96-year-old client with whom he has had a relationship for over 40 years! I find his behavior extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and at the very least, QUESTIONABLE! He has always been paid. She has been his loyal client for many years, yet he now refuses to do her hair because he was asked to account for the charges of his services. He has been in business for a long time, but his business ethics and questionable character will certainly prevent us from ever recommending him. Instead of a receptionist telling her I was there I was told go interrupt her current appointment and to do it myself. Omar is an amazing hair stylist at Sachi Salon. I am used to paying 350 in NYC for just one color but with Omar he can use multiple colors that look so natural but yet give your hair that added dimension it needs. I really couldn't believe how talented this color guru is. I truly am addicted to Omar and have referred 17 people and all of them continue to use him for the past few years. Even when one of them had to move they have flown him in because no stylist compared. Last week he transformed my friend's coarse hair with a brazilian blowout. He also has given me hair extensions and is one of few that is trained in the most cutting edge techniques so my hair remained healthy. He takes such good care of your hair and is a perfectionist.
