Tucked away in downtown, this place is easy to miss, but once you go it would be super hard to not to go again. Salon is posh and quaint. Salon staff are really friendly, and you can tell they all enjoy what they do--they're comradery is definite! Highly recommend this place. I was in Phoenix for a few days for business and needed my nails done for an upcoming wedding. Maria did an awesome job and many people have complimented my nails (I got a gel mani). The customer service is top notch and they really take their time with each client instead of rushing through. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I approve of this place in every way! Not only was the place spotless and smelling good, but the staff was super friendly and talkative. The nail techs take their time with you and don't rush the service. In addition to the friendly people, the atmosphere and design of the salon is 10/10! Ok so lets e honest, I got here because I was coerced into it by my friend to whom I made the mistake of letting know I was doing nothing at the time... 20 mins after that phone call I am sitting in this beautiful little place in the heart of downtown by the Walter Cronkite School. What really strikes me is how clean and refreshing this place is. I liked their decor, and their attention to detail.  I got a pedicure and I think its called the Icon facial and while I should remember the wonderful ladies that worked on me , (...and boy do i need work !) I sadly forget their names. Now I am no expert but clearly I enjoyed it enough to say I will be coming back. My face glows, and i did not know that was possible. I think the last time I was ever inside of a salon was possibly multiple years ago. Heck, maybe I should do this more often ! My feet have never looked so pimped out, so much so I had to refuse wearing shoes for a week. I am an ASU student and was thrilled to have a nice nail spa on campus! However, I was very dissapointed. I have gone to numerous nail salons/ spas & never experienced the following:-- I walked in on a Tuesday and it was around 12 - 1 ish and it was empty and I only saw staff working there, so I was happy because I thought to myself 'Yes I can relax in peace without any noisy/ disruptive student' I simply wanted a gel manicure, but I was refused the service. I was told that they only take appointments and not walk ins, which is ridiculous considering the fact that when I walked in the salon was empty with no customers. I would maybe understand if they were busy, but 0 customers at the time I came in, which was very upsetting. In the first place, why would you be open if you can't accommodate clients. Especially being on a university campus where everyone is always on-the-go walk ins should be permitted. I wasn't upset at the time I then went on saying I wanted to schedule an appointment for gel manicure for the next day.. the crazy part is they didn't have an opening until early next week, which is weird since I always pass by the salon and never see any clients maybe 1 or 2 at most! However, when they told me that that's when I became upset and said nvm and the lady gave me a brochure with all the prices to take home with me and after looking at the prices I was very happy I didn't come here! My usual nail lady charges me for the exact service $20 and they charge almost the double! Another complaint is they have two doors and only 1 works and there is not sign on the other door indicating to enter using the other door, which made me look like an idiot when I tried to open it, but didn't. I was in town for a conference. I walked to this sweet little spot and had a wonderful pedicure. Charge dit up with the owner and the esthetician. The place was super clean and cozy. The place was nice and clean and my nails were done fine. I just thought the price was very steep for just a manicure and pedicure. For the price I paid I would have expected a foot massage. I mean even the cheap places give you a foot massage. I don't think I will be back. There are lots of other nice places that provide a better or similar service for less. Read Less

Wow this was the best pedicure I've ever had. Flown in from Chicago for my bachelorette party and i was the first one in so decided to treat myself to a pedicure. They were able to accommodate me about two hours after i called! First of all the store is beautifully designed. Blue velvet cushions on top of a wooden bench. Amazing and comfortable - now that im writing this i realized they didnt have massage chairs - but it was so comfortable and the beautiful design pleased my eyes enough for me not to notice/care. Veronica was so attentive to my feet. The callous treatment she gave me made my feet look like baby feet just in one pedicure. She is a true magician! I am staying downtown for the dental convention and I had some time to burn before dinner with a friend, I found the salon on google maps and loved the photos and decided to give it a try! The owner greeted me so sweet, like family, with a big smile! From the minute I walked in they struck up a conversation and treated me so well! As I say getting my manicure, the owner offered me a peach moisturizing wax treatment as a "thank you" for being a first time guest! This was such a treat! The team is super sweet & a blast to spend time with and talk to while you're there, which is beneficial considering the full set took almost three hours. But, they're still relatively new to doing nails. I got a full set and loved them at first. Looking closer at them, I've had them for about a week now, the nails on my right hand are noticeably longer than the ones on my left. The powder was not shaved down correctly leaving some bumps and uneven parts, partly due to the fact that they didn't really use the mechanical tools that other places use, she did most of the filing by hand. The top coat is peeling off several nails, but the glue/power is set really well. Another review said hers lasted for weeks which is the reason I chose this place, but $65 is pretty outrageous for a full set. I'd probably go back for a gel manicure/pedicure because I liked the girls so much, but I wouldn't get a full set of acrylics again. Read Less

I was in Phoenix for work a few weeks ago and desperately needed a gel color change. I was traveling alone, with no vehicle and needed a place close by. Luckily the nearest salon was Vera Icon and I'm so glad it was. It's a family-owned (by sisters) salon and they treat their customers like family. Not to mention it was the BEST manicure I have ever had, the color is still on and I got this manicure 3.5 weeks ago. When I went to pay, they suggested I walk through campus for a safer walk back to my hotel. The customer service is incredible and their work is top notch. Wow. I mean, wow. I go to school at Cronkite (ASU) downtown, and to have this little oasis in the middle of chaos is such a breath of fresh air. Had my first facial today - LOVED IT!!! Ashley made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, which I didn't think was possible.
