I had to change nail places because I moved from Chandler to Phoenix.  I was referred here by a coworker because her nails are always so pretty.  Once she told me she goes to stashhouse to get her nails done by Ale, I had to try her.  I was sold after my first appointment.  I can get my regular acrylic nails, with gel polish with many different varieties. I don't do too much with my nails but I am very critical of them and Ale does a fantastic job.  Not to mention she is one of the nicest people!  Just be prepared to spend a bit more money as it is a private nail shop, but the quality that you get for the price, you can't beat.  Not to mention, the vibe in there is so eclectic it's amazing!  This is my new nail shop in Phoenix! At my previous salon I got tired of the same old colors, designs and being told "we can't do that design" so I began looking for a new salon. In the 10+ years of getting my nails I have NEVER encountered a nail salon like Stash! The entire team has a great personality and have never told me "no, we can't". Nothing is impossible for these highly skilled nail tech's/artists. Every design has impressed me time and time again. The product used on my nails is never thick. I had only ever had one manicure before coming to Stash House and it was at some place in a mall where I sat there awkwardly and wasn't asked questions about myself or how I wanted my nails. My experience at Stash House reset the bar for all future manicures so much higher. (In fact, it's because of Stash House that I'm even interested in getting another manicure.)I was in Phoenix visiting a friend and we wanted to have a girls' day. She found Stash House on Instagram and was pretty excited. I was nervous but down to try it. Her appointment was half an hour before mine so I got to spend some time enjoying their incredible decor--they've set an awesome scene! I sat down with Sen, who made me feel at ease and chatted with me while she did my nails. She helped me through the experience and didn't make me feel dopey for not knowing what was going on. Over a week later, they still look fantastic and they've held up beautifully against the havoc my knitting needles usually play on nail polish.Thanks, Stash House! This place is amazing! I love the style and decor and my manicure was incredible. The people here are artists. Can't wait to come back.I forgot to add that my friend was visiting from Minnesota. I had scheduled two appointments a couple weeks in advance. The nail artist I had booked for her had something come up for our scheduled time. The artist contacted me several days before and worked with me to make an appointment with another artist for the same time and day. I called and made an appointment after being referred by a great friend who said that Stash House was not stuck up or rude like many nail salons. I was excited. The day of my appointment was a rough one, and I was running too late for my appt. due to a series of crappy events. I received a call at 14 minutes past my appt. from Summer, who pointed out I was late. I apologized, and as I was trying to tell her I live one minute away, literally, she stopped me, stating "We have a very strict policy and I can no longer accommodate you" I had such a bad day, I just said, oh, okay, that's a little harsh, bye. After thinking it through, I called back and left a message, letting them know I felt uncomfortable with the lack of compassion and unreasonable tone and message that Summer spoke to me, without allowing me a word- of course I was going to offer to pay a late fee or whatever- but it was not an option. After that, Summer texted me a bit, and I was unhappy with the texts so I wrote her a really bad review. After that, she texted a bit more and was more willing to make it right, and although I am not interested in services at Stash House anymore, I changed my review to attempt to be more reasonable to a local business. It may not be a good fit for those of us with multiple kids that have a busy life, like me.So, this place does great nails on my friend, but it was not a good fit for me as I was unhappy with their late policy, and the response I received when I tried to discuss it with the manager. Let me start by saying thank God I found this place! Sen (nailsbysen) does my nails & I honestly could not be happier. I recently moved to Phoenix from Michigan, I was with my previous nail tech for four years, so finding a replacement wasn't gonna be easy. But I did it!I showed her a pic of the length, shape & she did it perfect. I'm very please with her work! They are appointment only but it works out for me just fine. Not your average nail salon, and this is why I love it so much! As a former DIY gal I really didn't have the need to visit nail salons but the service and experience I receive at Stash House is truly unique. I have seen Jimmy and Summer for gel manicure services. Both are incredibly talented! They make you want to just hang out there all day with the great conversation and music. I have also seen Oscar many times for makeup services. He is quick and makes you feel like a supermodel! He even helped with headshots for my daughter when she wanted to enter a fashion show at her school. Yes, yes yes! So glad I found this place and Ale.I'm new to Phoenix and was looking online for a nearby nail place. Came across Stash House and followed the salon and some of its nail artists on instagram. After seeing Ale's awesome work for a few weeks on instagram I decided to make an appointment. Figured would be nice to get my nails done for the holidays and that they'd last longer since I had some time off work. I texted Ale and set up a Friday appointment.The place is so cute, they put alot of work into a cool, older building. Any place that has Prince AND Mayte on the walls gets my vote.Ale is so sweet and after discussing a regular mani I decided to try my first gel mani. It's more expensive, of course, but man my nails look amazing. I went for a more oval shaped nail for the first time and I'm so glad I did. I had her do two accent nails for another $5. I called and was able to make an appointment for same day service for a gel polish manicure. I was given more then one time option which was great. The salon was clean, the vibe inside felt very young fresh and cool. I loved the amount of options for colors and services, and the help for choosing a color. My nails look great. She really paid attention and did a detailed job while working on my nails.  I'm very satisfied and will most likely go back for my next manicure need. Read Less

I am in Phoenix for only a few weeks, but needed to get a gel manicure. I was intrigued by this place bc the other reviews said it had a cool vibe.  It definitely does!  The artwork is music-centric and the playlist is an eclectic mix with a lot of rap and hip hop music, which I like.  Summer did my manicure and she was really professional and spent a lot of time to make sure the manicure was perfect.I would definitely recommend checking this place out, and would suggest parking on the street right behind McDowell if the small parking lot off McDowell is full. I've been going here since before the move and have no plans to change.. As a male, I often feel Uncomfortable when getting a manicure or pedicure other places but at the stash house not only isn't here friendly service but the intimate environment adds a personal feel as well as Not having to sit around twenty other snotty people staring at me.. And yelling over super loud music. It's relaxing. The conversation is always good and the service at this price point is amazing. As for the one star review for not getting A response. Sheesh. Talk about being hard on a place.. You realize you're driving their reputation down form what may have been a small Mix up or even your fault.. Give the place a chance.. I've never had any issue contacting anyone at stash house and I always get communications returned whether by social media email or phone. I have a hard time believing the right number was called and you didn't get a response inn's reasonable time. further more why would you rate a place one star if you've never been. Are you just bored? If you haven't had A call returned maybe try and work it out before recklessly venting with a one star review online. It's far too easy these days for one entitled customer to mid represent actual customer Opinion. So maybe take it from a long time customer when I say I am Always made to feel Important even though I probably am not Exactly a cash cow for them as I am male the service in receive is pretty basic but it was excellent enough for me to send my girlfriend there who loves it and she has sent two other friends. Every time my girlfriend comes home with a manicure or pedicure it looks amazing and one thing I noticed since she changed to Stash House - and in don't know why this is but it is - her manicures and such seem to last a lot longer. I wish i could give you technical reasons but she isn't complaining about chipping nails and such now. I'll. Have her write a review too! One thing - be reasonable About booking. Once you get in for your first appointment get used to booking the next appointment the same day. They fill up. Quickly because the service and price point are impossible to beat. I cannot actually review the service because my phone call went unreturned. I left a voicemail for Adreanna last Wednesday asking for an appointment for a basic manicure for the next week. It's Monday and I'm still waiting for a call back. I've been in the customer service industry for many years and the service starts before ever setting foot in the door. This nail salon has recently moved to a new location on 16th street and McDowell and it is even cooler than the previous one! I've been a client of Jimmy's for 2 and 1/2 years, he is only one of the wildly talented nail artists at Stash House. This place is not your typical nail salon. Forget the rows of nail stations and pedicure chairs or that factory like atmosphere you may have experienced elsewhere. You won't find that here. The salon itself is unique and eclectic in decor and music. Which is always playing! The laid back come as you are vibe is welcoming and refreshing. Their work is super high quality and they all create amazing nail art, unlike anywhere else in the Phoenix area. If you don't try this place you're definitely missing out. Read Less
