I usually love this place. However i went to get a full set a few days ago and they look terrible. He cut is super short without asking and the lengths don’t match at all. He didn’t put the nail all the way down to the cuticle so it looks like it’s already grown out. Probably will not return. Not happy I payed $50 for this. Read Less

You will end up going somewhere else to get your nails fixed, so save the time and money and go somewhere else from the start. I went for a gel manicure and thought everything was going well. However, after the first coat of gel, the woman seemed confused because she touched my nails and they weren't dry...but she just kept going and put the second layer of gel on. Well of course I got home and later that night three of my nails are already ruined. I went back the next day and showed them and they had a different person redo just those three nails. He made a comment about how it looked like the first girl used too much gel or something like that. Well, I get home and by the next day all of my nails are messed up! They obviously don't know what they are doing here. I didn't even bother going back to get them redone. Gels are supposed to last for weeks and mine didn't even make it one day. Read Less

I've been coming here for about 3-4 years. I've never had any major issues and I make sure to always have an appointment otherwise you'll be waiting a while to get in. My only gripe is with one of the nail technicians I've been getting recently. I think her name is Jen. She doesn't say one word to you. Just gives a subtle smirky smile and sits down and starts. Never asking what pedicure I want or anything else for that matter. Even when she finishes it's another smirk, helps you out of your chair and to the register. The other technicians are very nice. There are two women that know me pretty well and always are polite and ask how I'm doing and how my son is even when they aren't my technician that day. I love that!!! Never.  You'll never get in on time. Even with an appointment.  I've been going for 3 years and have been treated rudely. I'm done. Across the street by Home Depot is another location that has excellent service and quality work. I am happy to switch to a more professional and courteous location. I have been to this place at least once a month for the last year or so.  I went there today to get my eyebrows waxed.  They spoke in their language for a minute or so then decided they were closed.  I showed up at 6:40.  Eyebrows take maybe 10 min.  MAX!!  However, I drove across the street to Herbal Nail Bar.  (They close at the same time) and they were more than willing to help me.  I was even asked if I wanted a pedicure.  Needless to say I was done and in my car by 7:00.  I will never come back to Estrella Nails!! Make sure you ask for a specific person that you know does a good job! I was there today and got someone that I don't usually go to. In fact my whole family avoids this person at all costs as she is known for rubbing rubbing rubbing rubbing your legs endlessly for a long period of time while she watches tv. I had never personally experienced it but my mom had. Well, today, I know exactly what she was talking about- wow- I thought my skin was going to come off- and I really wish I would have asked her if I should come back so she could watch her show on tv... then I noticed almost the whole place had their eyes glued to the tvs gasping at random happenings of the show- nothing says a great pedicure than seeing your pedicurist getting paid to watch tv. I held it together as to not cause a scene- that's just not my style- especially over feet. BUT I have to say- I'm very annoyed. This woman should not be working there - and my pedicure - ehh- let's just say I got a deluxe - the most expensive one- and I still have cracked dead skin on my heel - I would take a picture - but I'll spare y'all the agony of seeing it when it should be a soft glowing heel! And honestly- it usually is when my usual girl does it- which is why they get at least three stars. Ask for your person and if they are busy don't leave it up to chance like I did today or you'll be irritated too- and for those regulars that have had the woman I had today, I bet you know exactly who I'm talking about!! Good pedicures, the basic one is $25.  I like that they use plastic liners, so each foot bath is "clean" for sure.  I don't do acrylic or gel nails, just basic manicures once in a while, but the polish has been very durable.  Looks cute.  My manicures at other places have not lasted as long as theirs.  My home manicures don't last at all and chip immediately, LOL.  All using the same polish so they are doing something right I guess?  I am pretty brutal on my nails too.  Last basic manicure that I did before a vacation even handled the ocean and beach! I have been a loyal customer for five years.  Recently, one of the employees was rude and condescending to me, because they had difficulty understanding a southern vernacular.Instead of having  patience she reacted in a very unprofessional manner in front of the customers. The owner, Tyler should have stepped in knowing I had an appointment. The nail technician is always very polite, knowledgeable in her skill.  I will move on to a professional salon that will appreciate my business.  This place is pathetic to lose a loyal customer. The WORST place I have ever been to, I have NEVER had any nail salon tell me they can't help me with my nails. I let my kids paint my nails blue and when I tried to take the Polish off it would not come off, So I came here hoping a nail professional could fix them. I told her exactly what I wanted before we even began that I wanted to cover up or get rid of the blue color that my kids painted. She painted my nails a dark maroon color that I had picked out from thier salon that was dark to help cover the blue color. She painted my nails but you could still see the blue color on the cuticle line and sides of my finger nails when I asked for her to cover it up she went and grabbed another gentleman maybe the manager who told me that I would have to pay extra to have a "manicure" I said whatever it takes to get rid of the blue color. As I'm waiting for a new person to help me because the last girl did not want to do anything more to help with my nails I decided if I'm going to pay extra I might as well get a full set. He said that they don't cut your cuticle with a full set & I'd have to pay extra on top of the full set. I said I don't mind paying extra as long as the blue color is gone and my nails are fixed. He then said even if I pay all this extra that there's no guarantee that it would even "fix" my nails. Why would I pay all this extra if you cant fix my nails? I honestly dont understand what the problem is, Clearly this place doesn't know what they are doing. Then he had the nerve to ask if I was going to tip take in mind I would have NEVER sat down in thier chair to begin with if they COULDN'T "fix" my nails and that Ive already over paid $16 for nothing. I am not from AZ but every time I come to visit my family I try to come to this place for a pedi and a mani because they are freaking amazing! The deluxe pedicure is worth the extra money! I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and my feet are feeling it. Dana did a fabulous job making my feet feel a thousand times better! They are always busy so I would suggest making an appointment if you don't have time to wait. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you because they definitely don't rush you in and out like other places. Have gone to this salon for years now and love the service and quality that I receive. I will always come here for my pedicures but may choose another salon for my manicure. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they charge extra on a fill if you have coffin shaped nails. I've never experienced this and definitely think it's ridiculous as you would have to shape and file any fills anyway? Read Less

I've been to a number of salons in the Vistancia area but this one is the BEST!!  They have great prices and really good technicians.  The manager, Tyler is super nice and always tries to accommodate your request.  The only downside is it's always crowded (reflection of how good it is) so you're better off making an appointment, unless you don't mind waiting.  They will, however let you know if it's going to be a really long wait. That was 10 years ago and have been a customer here for again 10+ happy satisfied years! Consistently , the pedis are fabulous and never ever have i had anything but great acrylics and fills !  Picky as I am , its good to know I can count on consistency at Estrella Nails - Tyler and all of the staff are fabulous ! So, I went over to the side, which is not far from the front desk, and looked at the colors to choose what I wanted. This is by far the worst pedicure I have ever had to sit through in my life to the point where I couldn't even allow them to touch my fingers. The "massage" consisted of dumping handfuls of lotion on to my leg and before it could be rubbed in completely more was added. She then had to rinse my legs off with alcohol. There was no pressure during the "massage" it was literally like she was petting my legs. Then she would lightly squeeze my big toe like you would do to a toddler... I asked to discontinue my service because it was literally torture and was told that I would pay $5 less than if I just completed the pedicure. Against my better judgement I continued only to have my nails cut too short and an uneven paint job applied. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. They are over priced and clearly undertrained.
