I've been going her for about a year and have recently been receiving the poorest service. I'm paying for service I know how I want my nails to look. When I told Made how I wanted to have my nails she told me she didn't think it would look right. I advised her that was fine but I still wanted them the way I prefer. If I let her do it the way she prefers I will break a nail and have to be inconvenienced and have to make another trip. She proceeded to yell at me telling me it wouldn't look right. Needless to say I had to come back 2 days later to get my nail fixed and she still wanted to yell at me about how it's supposed to look. I'm 3 visits in & won't go anywhere else, this is the spot I was looking for!!! Jade has done my full set & recent backfill on these gorgeous almond shaped nails which I might add never had any lifting. If a colour doesn't look like what I expected they change it right away for me, so nice to have your opinion asked. First time here. Chose the place based on reviews. Clean and Very friendly. I went in and didn’t have to wait. I got the relax comboMani pedi. My pedi didn’t go as well as I wished. I was left bleeding from my toe cuticle to where it was cut into - it was sore as I walked around the next day. And sadly when I got hurt the girl next to me also had a painful pinch on her foot too. I don’t like to be left bleeding when paying to getting pampered. The manicure was not relaxing. It was a bit fast and awkward. I can say I tried it. But I won’t be back. I have to start out by saying I have completely been loyal to nailspa corner for several years. I never like anyone new but Today I was in search of a good nail.salon because my normal shop was not open and this was my only day off.. I decided to go into The nail spot because they have a 4.6 rating on Google , but I wasn't expecting much.. This place was amazing the staff was so considerate and super nice even offered me a drink. kept asking if I was comfortable.. Super customer centric it was my first time there and they made me feel extremely valued. My pedicure was great and my nails are on point def. Satisfied.. only thing I could say was they were a lil more expensive then my normal salon but the environment and quality of work makes up for that. Will definitely be returning. Read Less

First & last time here. I had a 6pm appointment for a quick fill & color. I wasnt seen until 6:40pm. The nail tech took his extra sweet time with the other client, and I get it you wanna do a good job but don't book customers that you can't see on time! Expand the window between clients. Then, I got the gel. ***7 coats to be exact: 4 color & 3 clear**** Omg. My nails feel like rubber & still "wet" although is gel. They also look super tacky & cheap now. But... they were closing at this point & I just left @ 7:45pm. Add the 1 hour traffic to come here (I drove with high expectations based on previous results & a friend on FB). The first thing you would look at in a shop is how clean they are and they are very clean compare to most places I've Been too since the last year I've lived in Arizona all the other places are pretty nice but never been as nice and clean compared to this place . Jade and the twins and Kent are so friendly and Jade is very good with modern and trendy designs I just love this place and most definitely be coming back . This salon is really really nice. The techs were amazing and friendly. My Mom did a manicure/pedicure while I had a gel manicure with design and color change on my toes, so really we had the full array of services. Jade did my design and another tech (one of the twins) did my nails and my mother's nails/feet. (I'm so sorry I can't remember my techs name she was great and I'm just really tired) They had a fun movie playing. The salon does not look like a typical nail salon with 80's nail art posters, and they do modern designs (not all flowers and jewels). Bring in any design and it's done! We loved it!!! Read Less

Just a heads up to previous customers like myself. This business is now under **new ownership**. JD is no longer there and the place is being redecorated. I went in for a mani (gel)-pedi (regular) and was a bit surprised at the changes, except the name of the shop. Pros:Very nice and friendly staff. Place was very cleanSame day appointment was available and once I was there I had no wait.Still has Tv's to watch movies while you are being worked on (always liked that)My pedicure was very nice and has lasted (so far)Color selection was pretty good still!Cons:My gel manicure was fairly rushed. I was not asked what shape I prefer and ended up with square sharp nails (when I prefer rounded) that were actually fairly uneven. I know I have shorter nails but I manage to get them more even on my own. The gel manicure didn't last a week! They started peeling 2-3 days in and by last night (day 5) I had to admit defeat and peal them all off (after several attempts of top coating the trouble spots down). A good gel would fight being peeled up so soon after application, but these pealed up like nail stickers that were barely held on. I'm not sure if it was the brand of the gel or the fact that they hardly scored the surface of my nail for good attachment.Upon peeling the remaining gel off my nails I was rather shocked to find many of my cuticles had not been pushed back very well at all and were under the polish itself (which I'm sure doesn't help adhesion).Ultimately I wish these people well on their business and I hope my experience is few and far between, but I don't plan on coming back. I had a great experience until time to pay.i also must say they only speak English in this shop which is great.so when it was time to pay the guy started calling out all the services I got and said the total that's when the problem began.he said 53 dollars all of a sudden the lady who had did all my services started yelling in her language stating he had the prices wrong. He went on to repeat the services and prices and gave the same amount again.the lady the started speaking English saying the full price was 68 dollars and said to him she had already told me the prices.my big problem with that was she was over charging me and it was very obvious at the time to pay.i stated it was fine because I knew I would never go back to that shop.i gave a 5 dollar tip and stated I shouldn't tip due to being over charged but would never argue over a few bucks.then the guy stated he could write out the prices for me.i felt it was no need since I'm a very bright lady and just seen what had went on.very bad business to me so I'll be going to lili's nails on Guadalupe and baseline where the prices don't change depending on how you look and what the people doing your service feel like u have.this happened in April but I'm still pissed so I wanted to share this.get all prices up front and ask for a price list Read Less

We called to make appointments and they honored them. Usually nail salons just say "Yes.. Yes.. Come in" and you are stuck waiting for 45 mins. The gals did a fabulous job on our feet. Love the different options they provide in the different types of pedicures. It environment was laid back, everyone giggle and chit chatted about the movie playing. The Nail Spot is the only place I will go to get my nails done! JD and Kelly are so attentive and accommodating to everyone that comes in. There is never a wait time when you schedule an appointment! Most salons make you wait, but not The Nail Spot! Always on time! The environment is very calming and relaxing. There's always a movie showing to entertain the clients. I'm entertained by the staff! Let me start with the good. I called at 1:00 to see if I could make an appointment same day 2:30 for two gel manicures. They were able to get us in. 10% off with yelp check in. They honored the deal with no problems. They got us in on time. The employees are friendly. I didn't catch the name of the guy working on my nails but he was funny, cracking jokes the whole time. It made time fly and it was the first time I had fun at a salon. Now for the bad. They lost a star BC he was rough with the cuticle nippers. He cut me and I bled pretty good.Anther star lost BC he used the same nippers and clippers that he just finished using on the girl before me!  Didn't sanitize them at all. His work area had shavings all over. He should be cleaning after each client.  Unhygienic. I love the atmosphere of this place but the only way id return is if I brought my own tools.My daughter picked out the colors she needed from the wheel and gave them to her tech. The tech grabbed the wrong bottle and started applying it.   I'm glad my daughter spoke up. She took off the wrong shade and applied the one daughter asked for. Daughter is happy with her nails. I have never been one to get my nails done regularly but ever since getting full sets from JD, I've been coming every few weeks for months because I am so obsessed with how my nails look!! I am a fan of natural looking acrylics and he can do them wonderfully. He also has a talent for nail art. He uses arts and craft glitter which gives my nails a more dynamic sparkle. My mom and I came here in hopes of having a nice mani pedi for our trip to California the next day. We found this salon on yelp and decided to go because of the good reviews, cute decor, and they advertised 15 percent off on their site. The store really is cute but very cramped. You have to step up on little stools with the help of your pedicurist to get to your pedicure chair. That was kind of awkward. My pedicure was awesome thanks to Tim! He was very nice and cordial throughout my entire experience. What I love about tim is he didn't rush through my pedicure and he is very meticulous about his polish painting. Unfortunately Tim was there as a temp from another salon that is under construction. So he won't be there for long :(My nails looked great when I left the salon but a couple days later the polish had creased and chipped off. The manager was less than thrilled to allow us to use the coupon on the front page of his website and tried to give a lame excuse about why it couldn't be used. We had to prove we "lived in the area" with our drivers license in order to get the discount..... Whatever.So all in all our experience was just okay. I came here when they were having a half off everything special.  Even though I was paying half the price, they still gave me great service and spent plenty of time on me.  While you are getting a pedicure, you get to sit in massage chairs and watch movies!
