The spa was wonderful. My Daughter and I spent all day there. Louise was my favorite. I enjoyed a massage, wrap, mani, pedi, facial, hair and makeup. My disappointment, I had $150 in gift card vouchers I got as a Christmas Gift with my gift cards and they were already expired!! They were only good for 1 month!! I thought they were all gift cards so it didn't matter when I used them. Ended up having to pay for than I had planned. Very disappointed at the end of my perfect day. Read Less

I had an hour massage with one of the therapists over the weekend (Lenna, I believe). This was the best massage I've ever had! She was very knowledgeable about the body and took more of a medical approach with stretches and pressure points. I felt very relaxed and at ease. The girls at the front desk were so welcoming and even had a goodie bag waiting for me when I left. The establishment was clean and the grounds were manicured. I would absolutely recommend this spa to anyone looking to unwind. Read Less

I live in Litchfield Park and essentially right across the street from The Red Door Salon.  My husband has given me gift cards to this salon over the past seven years, and unfortunately, the salon is going downhill. It would have been nice to continue to go to a spa so close to home.   The facials, massages, manicures and pedicures are great.  LeAnn is amazing for a massage.  Now that Rachel is in the nail salon, I thoroughly enjoyed her company and her work was spot on.  My husband purchased gift cards for my visiting niece and sister for Christmas 2017 and they both had mani/pedis.  They both commented on how "perfect" their nails looked but were shocked at the low level of cleanliness, helpfulness, and lack of good management at this Elizabeth Arden Salon.  I was embarassed.  Clearly, the problem is with management.  There is  glaring lack of  training of the front desk staff and staff in the spa area.   Attention to detail is just not there.   Feel free to clean the waterside chaise lounges of bird poop.  The lockers which apparently were recently updated, do not work and require your going out to the front desk in your robe to get somebody to help.  The young lady, when you could find her in the area,  was clearly non-plussed with her job and borderline rude.  Our lockers, two of which required environmental engineering to open, were by the laundry hampers which were stacked high with used robes and used sandals.  Having to reach around dirty laundry is not my idea of a spa experience.  While waiting for our services in the lounge fireplace room, we ordered a plate of hummus and two glasses of wine.  Those appeared 1 hour and 15 minutes later.  Just prior to my going in for my scheduled manicure.  I refused the order.  It is managements' job to train their employees to let the customers know how long it takes to get a simple plate of hummus and two glasses of wine in plastic glasses.  There was no apology.  Five faces staring at us from behind the front desk.  It reminded me of workers on the highway....one digging the hole and the rest standing around doing nothing. There were changes in staff at the front desk and in management somewhat recently and it is clearly evidenced by this lackluster spa.I am done with you, Red Door - Wigwam.   There are far too many fine spas in Phoenix where I will happily drop $400.00 for good service, a clean environment, and ancillary employees that actually have some pride in their work.  You will not embarass me again. Went for a bridal makeup and hair trial with my daughter in October. Very disappointing. On the day of the wedding, The make up would have to be done in the lobby of the Spa. Also as the MOB paying for the service I would expect at least to be acknowledged in some way. The woman didn't introduce herself to me or engage me in any conversation and I was standing there watching her apply the make-up!! I know her main focus is the bride but I'm the one paying the bill. Then we moved into the salon for her hair and same thing happened. No introduction. I stood watching for about 15 minutes and she said you can sit down and pointed to the chair next to her station. And the hairdresser told my daughter she needed her hair cut and highlighted in order to style it the way my daughter wanted it. She quoted a price for the haircut and acted like she was going to "throw in " some highlights. We were not impressed but we decided to give her another chance. When we came back the following Saturday she charged $190 and she still really couldn't style it even after the cut!! Just a basic wedding updo. Not sure why it was so difficult. We found someone else who can do it. Thank God. We gave her a second chance but decided NOT to get our hair and make-up done  at the Red Door for her wedding at the Wigwam. Plus the maid of honor and one of the bridesmaids were going to have their hair and make-up done there. I really expected more from the RedDoor. 10 years ago I went for a Spa day and it was great. With the prices they charge one really expects to be treated like a Queen. Read Less

This review is for the wonderful Louise! I had my first facial ever yesterday. Louise is very skilled and lovely in general. Her greeting was so warm that I knew I was in great hands. She suggested the sensitive skin facial and it felt wonderful and left great results behind. She also gave me great advice on how to treat those occasional (and awful) hormonal breakouts that I get. The whole experience is so relaxing and renewing. She even made the small amount of extraction I needed quite tolerable. Louise's service was the best part of my weekend at the Wig Wam Resort. Nikki is fantastic! I got a facial and it was the most relaxing experience ever. After I was done I used the steam room which was HOT but a very cool experinece. Then I just got to spend time in a quiet room reading a magazine by dim lighting and soft music. Before I new it 2 and a half hours had passed and I had no idea. There is a pool and a hot tub too so if you go bring your bathing suit! The only reason it is 4 out of 5 stars and not 5 out of 5 is because the robes they give you are comfy but so hot in Arizona. They should try something more lightweight. Read Less

The Red Door Salon & Spa team were spectacular and extremely accommodating toward my particular request. My massage was relaxing, however the icing of my magical and luxurious day was being able to frolic in the Jacuzzi, naked, under the beautiful clear blue sky, without a care in the world! The massage was amazing. I had the signature massage by Caroline and it was fabulous. The massage part of the overall experience was five stars. The facility was a different story. The hot tub in the women's section of the spa had debris in the corners of the pool. That is such a let down.  The red door salon charges premium for their services, and the condition of the facility was disappointing. I mentioned the debris to the attendant on staff, and she stated that the trees needed to be pruned and that would solve the problem. I would have to say that if they added complimentary sun screen that would be a huge win in my opinion. Read Less

The lunch was pricey but the chicken quesadilla hit the spot. We spent quite a while in the lap pool area but about an hour would have been sufficient. I gave the Red Door Spa at the Wigwam Resort 2 stars because of the really bad pedicure I got a few days ago. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the Spa manager gave me a refund after seeing how my pedicure turned out. This is the second time I've gone to a Red Door Salon and Spa. First time was the one in Scottsdale. I went for a pedicure then, too, and had the same thing happen. It was the worst pedicure (and most expensive) I've had in my entire life. Both times, the person doing the pedicure painted all over my toes and cuticles vs. just my toe nails. The polish didn't last for more than a day, which isn't surprising since there were nicks (both times) in my polish as if the nail technician smudged it. Both pedicures were also painful vs. relaxing. The water was tepid even though I told her it wasn't very warm, she didn't do anything about it. She filed my toe nails crooked - some were round and some square and one was slanted. The person next to me this last time had a technician who asked her all kinds of questions about what she wanted but my person didn't say a word to me almost the entire time even when I volunteered what I wanted. Paying $56 for a pedicure is quite expensive considering you can go to a local nail salon and get one for less than half of that amount. I expect a wonderfully relaxing experience and expect my toenails to come out looking amazing if I go to a spa. My local nail salon charges $25 and gives a 10 minute leg massage as part of that, plus my toenail polish looks amazing and lasts for weeks until I go back and they redo it. This is not the case at Red Door. Save your money and go to a local nail salon. You will be much happier and get a much better pedicure for a much better price. Read Less

I want to live here. That's what I've decided after spending a day at the Wigwam Red Door spa. Initially, I was a little disappointed when they told me they that they would have to switch my treatment from a Mint Julep Body Treatment ($135) to a Seasonal Body Treatment ($135). In the end, I ended up loving the seasonal treatment. It included a full body scrub using red clay, an out door open-air private shower and a grapefruit and ginger body milk massage! A week later and my skin is still baby soft! (Also, showering naked outside is a pretty great experience :P )Before and after your treatment you get to use all of amazing spa facilities. They have a woman's only jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room in addition to a co-ed lap pool. While they offer lunch, it's super expensive (I think I saw prices starting around $20 for a salad), I instead opted to munch on some of their free snack bars and fruit. Based on all of the amenities they have, you can easily spend your whole day relaxing here! Read Less

My daughter and I went here today. We had a great time but one thing they have to remember  is first impressions are everything. When my daughter and I arrived they asked us to fill out forms and have a seat. A couple that came right behind us was asked to fill out the forms and was offered something to drink. We sat and i wanted to see how long any of the staff would take a offer us something to drink. None of them did and i then had to ASK for something to drink. This speaks volumes to me because  i even notice that others were reminded of food to order if they were hungry after their massages. I hate to say it and i wish i didnt have to but i believe the tone of my skin may have something to do with it. My money spends just like anyone else. My advice to train your staff not to assume and treat everyone the same regardless of color. The massage therapist did treat  us well and that's why i gave a 3 stars because of their service. Right after my significant other passed away my director at work gave me a gift certificate here to help me relax because she knew how much attention I paid to him during his dying process. Now I go to the Wigwam monthly for a signature stress melter ritual and just recently started adding a facial. I love the ambiance although I do get a bit weirded out with men in the waiting room while I am sitting there in nothing but a robe and just today read on another review there was a ladies only waiting area - will have to check that out!I love Caroline for the massage, she knows just the right amount of pressure and I am now a huge fan of the room that has an outdoor shower! Something so liberating about taking a shower and having the sun shining down on you. I will miss that when the weather gets colder!I think my aethetician is Kim but whoever she is she is amazing - her facials are so relaxingI love just hanging out in the hot tub, swimming in the pool or just reading. I paid $48 for a gel manicure as well as a $14 tip for my technician, Simone. Unfortunately, my manicure fell apart within the first couple hours of getting it done. I decided to add gems, but they fell off my nails same day. Now my nails look tacky. I called back to ask if they can redo it. I was able to rebook with another technician. I also asked if it would cost anything, but the girl over the phone didn't know if I'd have to pay since it was a different technician. Also, I can see through some on the polish. Clearly, my gel manicure was not done properly. I moved to Arizona a year ago as I recently retired from the military. Due to my finally settling down I have had many friends and family visit and I usually take them to the spa. I have spent at least a few thousand at this place and I usually get a 20% discount with the email subscription for a new client and for myself. The last two visits my guest nor myself received the discount. I even wrote the corporate office in which I received no response. My last visit by myself a few days ago, the special was 15% off of two services and the services were advertised at a special price from Mon-thurs. When I paid my bill I noticed I did not get any type of discount besides my massage membership. I asked why and was told I couldn't because of my membership which made no sense. I told her I wanted my discount and she said she would have to ask the manager. How about you ask the customer which discount they want to take. After the manager gave her the ok to change it she still refused to give me my 15% discount. I like the ambiance of this place but I can definitely take my business elsewhere since the services are not anything to brag about. Read Less

I have been going to the Red Door for many years. I actually was there the very first day that it opened. Unfortunately, the bad experiences have outweighed the good over the years. I have given them plenty of opportunities to prove me wrong, but they have yet to do that. The only reason I continue to receive services is that I have an amazing stylist, Gaston, who rises above it all. The front desk staff have been uncooperative, many times inaccessible, and often times downright rude. While receiving spa services over the years, (which are pretty pricey considering the lack of customer care) I have had clothing stolen from my locker (including my underwear...ewww). I have been approached by spa staff providing services to me offer me "private services" at a much lower cost away from the spa. Very uncomfortable to be on a table getting a massage while the Masseuse is promoting their side business. Ackward! I have also put up with toilet seats so loose they were ready to fall off the toilet, doors with broken locks and being left to find my own robe and slippers because there were no staff to be seen. Tonight's experience has been the worst by far. I have an important event tomorrow. I made an appointment with my stylist to install some hair extensions. I have done this several times in the past. Prior to my appointment, the manager (who was responsible for ordering them) said a deposit up front was required. Even though I've never been asked to pay a deposit before. I was told salon staff would contact me for payment. They never called. A few days went by and I decided to contact the manager. As usual, the phone went unanswered. But I did receive a call back. The manager explained that the deposit has always been standard but not enforced. She said this time she would "let it go", but next time I would have to pay. Lucky me... She said the extensions were ordered and should be delivered in 2-3 days. To my astonishment, my stylist contacted me and said they did indeed arrive and we were ready for install. I was thrilled that it all worked out before my event. Tonight when I arrived, Gaston looked at the stack of extensions ordered. None were my color and they could not be used. The manager was once again nowhere to be found so I asked the front desk to contact her. The front desk told me she would be giving me a call within 10-15 minutes. I tried to give the manager the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they couldn't reach her? But staff confirmed  to me that they were able to reach her and discussed it in great detail with her. I guess she didn't feel a long time clients' issue is worth her time to help resolve. It is my belief she didn't want to discuss it since she was the one that placed the order in the first place. Once again, I am deeply disappointed to say the least. This spa has the potential to be a gem in the west valley. It's unfortunate they can't provide any customer service or hire (and  keep) competent managers to lead the Red Door in the right direction. Gaston is fabulous. But be wary of the spa staff. The spa staff come and go so rapidly, it should be renamed The Revolving Door! Read Less

I accidentally posted this with you at the other Elizabeth Arden location - this incident took place at this location. Well, according to my doctor, the second degree burn I sustained at the spa couple of weeks ago is starting to heal. Comparing photos from right after the event until now, things are objectively better even in my eyes. While there, I slipped on some water in the sauna area and brought my right wrist down on the heated grill of stones. I notified the manager and requested some burn ointment (after she stared at me confused about the next step) which I was given but aside from a mildly solicitous "may I get you anything else" nothing done for me at the spa. I have requested burn ointment at least four more times.  I didn't want to make a scene because I was there for a girlfriend's event but my arm hurt like hell. I wasn't able to have the full manicure experience as the paraffin was too hot for my wrist, and again, the manager nor anyone at the spa seem to care.   Only my manicurist.  Forget about offering a discount or adjusting any of my services to accommodate my injury, just pretend to care.  I'm not one to make a fuss, and again, I didn't want to ruin my girlfriend's event- but this was one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had in my life and I was really mad that the manager didn't give a damn. I have been a long time patron of Elizabeth Arden spas in Chicago and I'm deeply disappointed in Elizabeth Arden for the way I was treated at their Phoenix spa. Read Less

My hubby bought me their Ultimate Package that came with:50 min. Hot Stone MassageMajor Facial with Microdermabrasion & Face Mask x2Olive Oil ManiOlive Oil PediHair Shampoo & StyleMakeup ApplicationHere is why I can only give 3 stars- you are paying for the experience of the atmosphere, not the quality of their product or service.  The quality of the service (massage, mani, pedi, hair, makeup) is comparable to going to other less expensive competitors.   I've never had a facial, so I have nothing to compare it with.  The massage was fine, although I asked the therapist to focus on my left side (physically showed her and vocalized my request) and she started on my right and worked the right side, not left.  The mani and pedi were exactly what you'd get at an ordinary salon... EXCEPT my nails chipped the next day. They let me come back to have them fixed (where they then removed a lot more of my cuticles, thankfully) .... but again, two days later and the Polish is peeling again.  On the bright side, they do have a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi to hang out in during your visit.  So... that may be a factor in the high cost. My husband bought me $400 in gift certificates to Red Door Spa between my birthday and our 10 year wedding anniversary.  I've been holding those gift certificates since the beginning of the year.  I kept putting off making an appointment because the only location I was aware of was in the Biltmore and it's hard to find time to make it there.  Finally, being on vacation this week and knowing I was not going anywhere I decided to make an appointment.  When I googled it to get the phone number I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a Red Door Spa just down the road from me!  (If I realized that I would have made my appointments months ago!)When I called to make my appointments the girl on the phone was very helpful and informative, making sure to advise me of the amenities that I would be able to use while here for the day.  I am thankful she did because I was able to come prepared with my kindle and bathing suit.  I booked an 80 minute hot stone massage, a Signature Facial, an eyebrow wax, and a signature pedicure. When I showed up for my appointments the girl at check in was very nice, although once I was checked in she said I could head back and started to assist another customer.  When I asked her where "back was" she was quick to apologize and asked if this was my first time there. I said yes and she told me to take a seat and a very sweet woman came out to get me.  She gave me a tour of the facilities and explained everything to me.  Once the tour was completed she took me to the tranquility area to wait for the masseuse.  The masseuse, Sarina, was sweet and professional.  She did a great job with the massage, although I wish more attention had been paid to my hands as I had indicated that my left hand was a problem area since I work on a computer all day.  Overall though the massage was extremely relaxing and I almost fell asleep several times.  I have had many massages over the years at many different spa's across the country.  Sarina ranks right at the top.  She used the appropriate amount of pressure, not too soft but not too hard.  The aromatherapy enhancement was nice, although next time I would probably skip it and save the $20.  Next onto the facial/eyebrow waxing.  The esthetician, Monika, was very knowledgeable and professional.  The facial was so refreshing and the head/neck/arm/hand massage was amazing.  Again I wanted to fall asleep!  She also did an amazing job shaping my eyebrows during the wax.  This was only my second facial in my life, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back for another one!Once I was done with Monika she brought me to Cindy who took care of me during my pedicure.  I get pedicures like clockwork every 5-6 weeks.  Usually I go to those walk in shops, although I have had several at spa's as well.  This was easily in the top 3 best pedicures I have ever had.  She put great effort into my massage, again almost putting me to sleep.  She was very aware throughout the pedicure and attentive.  The neck pillow smelling of cinnamon and clove was a nice touch and again they almost put me to sleep!Once all of my services were completed I went to the ladies dressing area and out to the private patio up back.  I laid out reading my kindle for a while, then got into the hot tub where I relaxed doing some more reading.  Once I was done in the hot tub I went to the sauna and relaxed for a bit more before using their showers to freshen up.  This was a very relaxing day.  If you are looking to get pampered and spend a day on yourself this is the place to be.  I went straight home and let my husband know that more gift certificates here would be a definite win!  An important note: Getting to their private parking area is a bit confusing.  If you don't want to park on the street, pull into the Wigwam resort entrance and make an immediate left following the little windy road all the way to the spa.  (You can't miss the spa once you come up on it.)  This is the only way to get to the spa parking.  I drove around for a while before finding the entrance to the spa road. Apparently I have no luck with getting my haircut, because this is where I met my first Edward Scissor-hands of the month. I'll start off by saying I go to the Red Door often enough. Kim is absolutely wonderful for waxing, Sarina is perfect for wraps, and Bill is awesome for massages. And for hair?  Gaston is just wonderful, I love him to pieces. I'm also a very quiet person and every person I've seen respects that and does not try to talk my ear off.The particular Saturday I went in, I made a last minute appointment and saw Jazmin, someone I had not seen before. I was pleasantly surprised when my shampoo, haircut, and paying all took less then 15 minutes! I mean, who likes to waste 30+ minutes on a hair cut?! I asked for a simple haircut, a long bob to shorten up my hair, about 3-4 inches taken off. Once home, I did my hair as I normally do and found out I had a new friend! My husband and I deemed him Whispy. Who is Whispy? As you can see in the pictures, Whispy is an extra piece of hair that is a bit longer then the rest of my hair. He's the sole 'survivor' of my hair hacking. So I trailed myself back into the salon and showed Alexis at the front to which I was refunded and offered to have Gaston fix it when he had a spot open. Next day, Jazmin called me and asked what was wrong with my haircut. I think she was worried for Whispy's safety seeing as how she really really wanted me to come in before my Saturday appointment with Gaston. After speaking with her a bit, she was very upset that I would not come in. (Anyone who reads this review, please do not tell her Whispy died, I think she'd be devastated!)Saturday came and left, It is with heavy heart that I report Whispy was put to death by Gaston on 2/21/15. I hope that Gaston gave him a proper burial. Gaston made my hair beautiful and wonderful again and I've received many positive compliments.I'm very thankful that he went above and beyond to fix my hair and do it so absolutely beautifully. If it weren't for him, I'd be swearing off all haircuts for my family considering my recent luck with hack jobs. Now the real question is, how much to take my 5 year old to him?!In the week that I was blessed with Whispy, I was complimented with various compliments including:Did you fall asleep and the kids cut your hair? My $13 Great Clips haircut looked better.Good morning Edward Scissor-hands.and my personal favorite: Look at it, laugh, shake head, walk away.... Read Less

Really appreciated getting a 'fill' (acrylic nails) yesterday from Simone.  I had only gone to the walk-in nail salons since moving to the area recently, but wasn't comfortable with what I was seeing. (Lack of state mandated hygiene procedures, possible fraudulent licenses..and finally fungus.).  So I figured, time for the best!  The Wigwam/Red Door was that!  The only reason I left off a star was their appointment person clearly didn't understand nail terminology and made the appointment for a 'polish change'. Read Less

Lunch is hit or miss and definitely not worth what the Wigwam charges $22 for a salad that was more of a side salad than a meal salad. Read Less

I decided to call back to cancel the reschedule appointment being that I do not have the time, and I don't want to pay for a mistake that is not mine.  I'm very disappointed. Your service is not even close to being worth $48. Read Less

Read Less

One thing I wish they had told me over the phone was that you get to use the spa facilities after your appointment (pool, sauna etc.). I did not know this and therefore did not bring a swimsuit, so I was left slightly annoyed by this. The staff was friendly and the facilities were nice and tidy.
