New to this area and chose to make this one my new nails spot. Went there on Sunday and I was highly amazed of how clean and polite and different from others this nails salon was. I also was offered a sangria or a mimosa to start. I have never had the nails done so beautifully before. Was completely worth each penny. First of all... if you are looking for amazing customer service, nice people, and smiles all around... this is your place! Lam is amazing, reasonable, and funny. I have never had issues with him or any of the other people who work there. We have been coming here for about a year or so, and our nails have been at their best. They last up to a month! Make an appointment. They take walk ins but you will be waiting around. I showed up at opening (10 am on Sunday) and wasn't seen until 10:30. Not to mention people that had walked in after me were not signing in and were walked back to be seen. Very unfriendly and unprofessional nail salon. Had a pedicure by this young man there and he was rude and did a horrible job. He rushed my pedicure, so rather then being a relaxing time it was just they wanted you out the door in a few minutes so they can have another customer going. It's more like a factory environment! My daughter and I have been coming here for about 2 years. We absolutely love this place. The quality of their work is outstanding, their customer service is excellent, we have never been disappointed. They do their absolute best to accommodate every need and request. And if you don't know what you want they will actually help you figure out what it is you would like. If you're in the Surprise, Peoria, Glendale AZ area, (not sure the other neighboring cities as Im new here)  I'd definitely suggest making the trek to Lam's nail salon. Also, I totally spaced it, but if you check in via Yelp or mention the Yelp page, they offer 10% off services (nit including a polish change)         Spoke to Lam yesterday and I was able to set an appointment for this afternoon, a Saturday. First time with acrylics in almost 4 years. After careful review of several AZ nail salons, I am so thankful for Yelp reviewers and their photos. Merely off the photo testimonials, my first two choices for a new acrylic set with white and pink ombré, coffin shape nails were either Lam or Justin.     Their location is off North Litchfield in the CVS shopping center but on the opposite end of CVS. I was immediately seated in the spa chair for my pedicure and offered a beverage from their bar menu. My spa pedicure went very nicely. I did the basic one which I believe was $22. My guy opted for the paraffin and more spa-like pedicure which was $35. I can safely say he thoroughly enjoyed his spa pedicure and a cold bottle of brew.     I haven't had acrylics for some time now so I was hesitant that my hands would be sore from the filing. Far from it. Lam does such a beautiful job of shaping and the ombré affect. My nails look beautiful and they're filed so naturally. It's such a treat to get to enjoy long and pretty nails again. Like others have said, I called ahead twice to make appointments. The first time I had to wait a long time-like 45 minutes-to be seated. They took people who came in after me and made me sit there. I was only served because I spoke up. The second time they did this I just walked out after waiting in the seating area for 10 minutes. Before the re-model, this place was great. By far the best nail salon in the area. My family & I have come to Lam & Quyn's for over 5 years now and enjoy each experience. We make appointments ahead of time to avoid the extra wait time & choose our favorite techs. They now have double the experienced techs which makes each job perfect, even if it's not your usual tech. It also means the wait time is much shorter as they service more customers at a time.The products they use are top quality and I never leave dissatisfied. If I don't like something, they're happy to make it just the way I like it. My acrylics last me 4-5 weeks before a fill, as do my toes. Great experience all around! Excited they've added drinks, too! First time visiting this salon and and feeling very meh about the whole experience. I called ahead and was told that there was no wait, they they could accommodate a walk in fill and pedicure. As soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately and sat down with a nail tech almost as quick. I believe his name was Vincent, he never told me his name so I'm not 100% sure that's what I heard someone else call him. As he filed off my gel polish from my previous set he kept pointing out that I had chips in my acrylic. I asked him if he thought if it was time for a new set and he said yes. I thought he was a little rough taking off my acrylics all though I know it's never a fun process. He talked me into trying the pink to white fade which I thought would be different and very trendy. He told me to do the whole thing would be $50. I thought it was a little steep but if that's what it cost then that's what it cost. Things I didn't like about the encounter was that he decided to refill the WHOLE box of tips while I was sitting in front of him. He DIDNT address my cuticles, I left with them looking crusty, overgrow, and dry. Not happy about that. He also answeted a phone call in font of me. Apparently no one was on the other end but it was sort of rude.Let's move in to the pedicure. As I was kicked out of my seat just in the nick of time for Vincent's appointment, NO ONE directed my to sit in a particular chair. I HAD TO WALK UP TO THE FRONT AND ASK. There were at least 15+ people working, you would think at least one of them would tell me. Finally someone walks up to me and asks me if I want a pedicure. I kinda thought that was a redundant question. Why would I be sitting here for 10 min with no assistance if I didn't want a pedicure?Fast forward my pedicure was standard. Nothing fancy. It was the first time I had ever had hot rocks used to massage my legs and it was fantastic. But the nail tech didn't speak to me the whole time except to ask me if I wanted my eyebrows done too. She basically sang along to whatever music that was playing in her ear bud. OVERALL: They served wine which was a cool touch. The massage chairs were fantastic. But the customer service was not so hot not was the fact that HE ONKY DID MY NAILS. Shouldn't the rest of my finger look good too? It was just an average nail salon to me. I called in advance to schedule an appointment that same day, before I had to go to work. They told me to come in and they would have time for me. When I got there, two girls walked in behind me. I signed in then the two girls signed in after me. I sat and waited more the 25 minutes. Then the owner and another employee walked up, looked at the list, and called back the 2 girls that came in after me. I was beyond shocked! I informed them that I had called ahead and signed in first, so they sat me down at a station where I waited for another 15 minutes before I walked out. I do not recommended this place to anyone. Reasonably priced for such a luxurious high end salon. ALL TECHNICIANS ARE VERY GOOD! This salon treats you like a Queen and or King by offering COMPLIMENTRY Wine, Mimosas, Champagne and BEER. The only nail salon in the West Valley to provide such a service, Free to all clients 21 and over. ( bring I.D. ) I've been going to this salon for quite sometime now. Always outstanding workmanship. They don't stick to there appointments, rush once you are in the chair, and don't take their time and it shows in their work. Not worth the wait and definitely worth the money. I've been here twice... Pedicure both times and then a full set and fill in. Both times I had appointments. A lot of friends had recommended this place and told me to ask for Lam. Well, since he books up weeks out, he wasn't an option so I can't say if my experience would have been better had he done my full set and later on my fill in. First visit, was greeted, felt welcome and enjoyed chatting with Lam while he was waiting for his appointment to show up and I was waiting for my chair for the pedicure to be ready. Pedicure was fine, nothing extraordinary. I got the ombre pink and white nails- full set. It looked nice and the lady did a good job but did not seem to understand how short I wanted my nails. I asked three times for her to shorten them more and finally gave up and left.  I was there about 2.5hrs and had to go back the next day to get my nails shortened even more since I had somewhere else to be and couldn't be there any longer that day. Oh- they weren't filed straight either, kind of lopsided, and they started lifting within about 5 days.Second visit- again, made appointments for my sister and I but they seemed confused when we got there (when they opened, the time requested) and appeared to be WAY overbooked with big parties. I got a pedicure (was a little better than the first time but still just okay) and an ombre pink and white fill. Well, they didn't fill in the white so on some of my nails, it looks like there is NO white! Not a happy camper but they were so busy, we were basically rushed out of there. And again, nails are lopsided and the skin around my nails are completely torn up BUT, the person did understand how short I wanted them this time. So it's a draw. Didn't feel very welcomed this time, I assume it's because they overbooked and were turning people away within 15min of opening. Go here if you want an okay, run-of-the-mill pedicure, if getting anything else, find somewhere else or get on Lam's list (from what I've heard). I'm still on my quest to find a great place out here to get my nails done. A free mimosa isn't incentive to keep spending money here- even with a military discount. Read Less

I've spent over 6 months trying to find a good nail place in my area and I've finally found it. Best pedicure I've ever gotten! UPDATE: I still like this place but just a warning, the wait times are often an hour or more. They don't warn you either and will lie that the wait time isn't as bad as it is. Even if you make an appointment you'll still be waiting like 5-10 minutes. Read Less
