My first time here today. I'm newer to AZ and like blingy & sometimes extensive, time consuming designs. I was skeptical because the salons in my area aren't great at nail shape and most aren't skilled in what I'm use to back east. I had the extreme pleasure of having an appt with David (who is chronically booked btw). I made the appt a month earlier. He did NOT disappoint! Fabulous conversation. Fantastic full service salon/spa! Make your appointment well in advance as they fill up fast - because everyone who works there is incredible. It's worth the wait, trust me. From hair to nails to botox or a relaxing massage - this place has you covered. Nice atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff, reasonable prices (market average for all services). I have gotten acrylic put on my paper - thin nails for decades. It prevents them from tearing, up across my nail bed. The application process, however, is difficult for me to sit through because my fingertips are EXTREMELY off - the - charts sensitive!I started coming to Modern Beauty Bar in AUG 2017 to have David do my nails. Don't let the roadside sign fool you. It's very tastefully decorated inside, and everyone is professional, warm and friendly. The vibe is welcoming.David has a wonderful eye for getting my nails straight, and he uses different tips on the machine to reduce my discomfort. (That dark paper grinder is a no go for me!) The silver tips work well and prevent lifting of the acrylic. My set stays on beautifully. Hopefully, he'll show the other nail techs how he does it. More clients might benefit. -E Read Less

My hair resembled a witch's broom until I had the good fortune to run into Audrey. I would follow her anywhere. My hair is long and beautifully colored for the first time in my life. Having lived in Los Angeles, I was expecting to enter an inferior salon! I'm so happy to be wrong for I have the best hair of my life. I love the functionality. Everyone's very friendly and seems like they enjoy working together which makes the environment warming. I make my appointment and I get seen at my apt time not half an hour later. I always love my visits to Modern Beauty Bar! I love my hair by Rachel, and she is so patient foiling my thick, ton of hair, and it turns out so beautiful every time! Thanks so much Rachel for making me feel and look fabulous! A few months ago, I had my first facial with Riann and I literally melted with sheer relaxation and my face felt so rejuvenated. I always go here for my haircuts, because to be honest I'm engaged to one of the hair dressers.  But this isn't about her.  I'm always greeted with a smile when I go in the door and all of the ladies are always friendly.  The fiance convinced me to get a massage by Patty.  I was a little hesitant at first cause I'm not a fan of people I barely know touching me, but boy am I glad I did it.  Patty did a great job getting me to relaxing and giving me a great deep tissue massage.  I'll definitely be setting up future appointments.
