First time coming in to receive a service. They charged me an extra $5 at the end of my service! I asked my technician what the upcharge was and she said they charge more for the OPI Infinite Shine Laquier line. This was mentioned only after my session was complete. (I provided my own polish which is not a gel polish nor does it need a light to be cured). So Im confused as to why I had to pay extra. If they charge more for that line they should tell you up front. It just doesn't make any sense since I brought my own polish and it's not a gel polish. Gel polishes need a light! Read Less

I don't even do reviews but service so horrible I wouldn't recommend a fly. Everything is $5.00 more in here. If you breathe wrong it's $5.00. Also they do what they like to do to your nails not what you want so keep your $47 and paint your nails yourself. Read Less

I love this salon, it's clean, everyone is friendly. But I cannot stand to pay money and not have my entire nail painted with polish. My toes and my finger nails. My manicure I just got only lasted a week. Read Less

I love Monaco nails! Not only do the owners speak English (which is a huge perk for me because they're always in there working) but they also have a big selection of nail polish, which I appreciate because other places I've been to have dismal polish choices since they want everyone to upgrade to gel. Not Monaco, they've got options for everyone. Always friendly and clean. They also have a new punchcard system where you get money off for every $100 you spend. I love Mai. She does a great job but if you go for a pedicure and fill trust that you won't get them done in one visit. I have walked in and said I need both they make it seem that they Can do both but once you're done with one they make you come back for the other.  They don't warn you about this when you walk in. If you want matching you are trapped into coming back. I'm never going back there again they have no respect your time or you. This is the second time they've done this. I happened upon this place while my husband was getting his clean cleaned next door. I got right in. They did a liquid gel fill and it turned out perfectly. I had some many color choices too. It was nice and cool in there and I didn't leave sweating like I have from some places in the past. They took their time and were not over priced. I think I have found my "it spot"Thanks. Read Less

My wife has been going here for 3 yrs and today she got the worst pedicure EVER . I've been buying her gift cards from here for a while and today I saw the worst pedicure. She had a appt wth her regular guy but he was busy so they got her someone else who obviously didn't know what she was doing. When she called to speak to the manager the young cashier girl was rude and implied it was my wife's fault . It was clearly noticeable when she got home . She was in and out of there in 15 minutes. Love this place! Clean and friendly Nail Techs! Jenny, Kim, John, Vivian and they are all good! I used to come here once a month but my beauty schedules had changed since I had my son. I did my own nails since then but for some big occasions, I will need the professional help. I have tried a couple of places, either they are too far for me or they are not good enough for me. I always come back to Monaco Nails. I love how Jenny did my nails. They look so happy now!!If you want the fast service, please make an appointment. This place is horrible. I went here this past weekend with my sister for a pedi. When we first got there we signed in and there was a wait which is understandable. While waiting we picked out the color and looked at the pricing packet they had at the front of the store with all of the services they offered. We noticed pedicures were about 17 bucks which we thought was great. We sat down and started to get worked on. After about 10 minutes i noticed there was a pedicure menu sitting next to me with the different options and prices. I noticed that the cheapest one said 22 bucks. So i asked the lady what the difference was because the front brochure says 17. She said oh, the 22 include the lotion and leg massage and a hot towel. She asked if thats what i wanted and I said just the 17 is fine. She then proceded to wipe the lotion that she was starting to put on one of my legs off and into the trash and painted my nails and i was done. First issue: why wouldnt the tech ask which pedicure i want instead of just doing the more expensive one.Second issue: she already started to put lotion on my legs. So instead of just at least rubbing it in, even without a massage, she rather throw it away? Third issue: basicaly i paid 20 bucks after tip for someone to paint my nails. i have had bad pedicures before but i cannot believe that the basic doesnt even come with lotion.... i have never heard of that.this place sucks. dont waste your time or money Read Less

Horrible! I had a gel manicure. The tech didn't let my old gel soak off long enough so she scraped, clipped and filed so hard to get it off that it left my natural nail extremely thin and flimsy. The new polish that was put on was thick in some areas and thinner in others. I didn't realize it until I got home. I grabbed my purse and almost broke my naturally long nails because they were so frail. I get the gel manicure because it has a thicker finish and makes my nails firmer. I called and told them about what happened. The gentleman who answered the phone told me that I was wrong and that they would not refund my money. I will never go back and I am sure sorry I ever did in the first place. Read Less

I have been a client for 5 years or so.  I'm a pedi only client and have been seen by various employees.  While they all follow the same protocol, some are better at callous removal or massage or nail painting than others.  Guess it just depends what you prefer.  I like the leg massage and not a lot of chatter, which they respect.  They try different services from time to time (sugar, hot stone massage, etc.), but they always ask if I want it first before doing it.  They never try to upsell me and are always kind and gentle.  I agree with another reviewer that if you have a particular color you like, you should bring it.  The polish selection isn't always great. I went here kind of as a guinea pig since no one else had reviewed it...and because it's really close to where I live. They were running a $20 pedicure special, which is about what I would expect to pay so I thought I'd give it a try. The shop is ok--about as smelly as most normal nail salons, but that has never really bothered me until I became pregnant and concerned about the chemicals and its potential effect on my baby. Regardless, it wasn't too bad. I didn't have to wait at all, just walked right in. They offer a selection of OPI polishes, which I prefer, and China Glaze. Color selection is just meh for me; if you have a specific color you like, you better bring it in yourself. The gal that did my nails was nice and friendly, not overly chatty. They use a metal scraping tool instead of the traditional pumice stone thing (lol-sorry for the non-specific naming of their tools!) which I think seemed a bit more sanitary as it could be cleaned. She didn't scrub really hard, but it was more than adequate since I have this fear that I'm going to be cut in a nail salon and exposed to umpteen bacteria. They also use hot stones instead of a traditional massage which I didn't really care for. How can a super hot stone be considered relaxing?! That was the only part that I was kind of stumped by, but oh well. Maybe some women enjoy it. :) There seemed to be quite a few regulars which does tell me something about their ability to keep and maintain clientele. And really, the pedicure was just fine. Nothing bad to report, just an ok experience. If you need somewhere in a pinch, this isn't a bad option. Read Less
