I was looking for a new stylist and I was hoping this was the place but after 2 bad experiences, I’ll be looking elsewhere. The first time I scheduled an appointment, my stylist moved my appointment to 3 hours after I was scheduled to begin. She did a nice job but that is a terrible way to treat a new customer. Second experience, I was simply trying to book an appointment and was told a stylist would get back to me within a few minutes I left the lady who answered the phone my name and number. The haircut quality was great, and the services were convenient as far as time and location, but the environment was unprofessional. I tried to make it work, but I could no longer tolerate the vulgar gangsta rap music playing while I was there. And it broke my heart to watch young boys being exposed to profanity laced music that glorified sex, drugs, and violence while they waited for their haircuts. Getting married in a month and wanted to wear my natural curls. I went in today super nervous about my first professional haircut and spent a while researching Devacuts and felt like they would do an amazing job because of all of the other services they provided. I was first very confused when they washed my hair first since Devacuts are dry and nearly cried when she brushed my wet hair straight to cut it. Didn't know why the price went from $35 to $55 but I honestly didn't care cuz I'd spent 2.5 hours here feeling out of place and forgotten and all I wanted to do was go home. Very sweet people and everyone else I saw get their hair done had amazing results. It will take a while for my curls to recover and if they don't in time I'll have to wear a wig to my wedding. While this has only been my second Devacut, Carol reset the bar. She is such a kind, sweet, mellow person; she creates a peaceful atmosphere. You will never feel rushed or forgotten about in her care. She takes her time and figures out how to best cut and style your hair. Everyone who works there makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Stephanie B. The barber at this location is almost to good to be true when it comes to getting my hair cut. Not only does she do a great job but she makes myself an everyone else I see come through feel comfortable and relaxed to be there. I'm 30 yrs old an it's the first time I can say I really don't want to get out the chair when I'm done. Her cuts make you look good, feel good and is worth every penny spent on her service and then some. Horrible salon. Took my biracial daughter to get her first haircut and was treated like complete crap. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. Ended up walking out when the hairstylist insulted the product I put in my daughters hair, which was the same product she had on her counter, handed me the comb, and told me to get the knots out of her hair.
