Visited this place twice. Thought I would be fair on this review and go back for the second time. Big mistake and a waste of money. Rude is the first thing. I literally have gone straight to another salon to have them fix the mess they do. They don't care how it comes out. They could care less if your happy or not. I wouldn't go here. My nails are a mess. I'm shocked to see anyone happy on these reviews. There is plenty of places who treat you better and do a professional job. Save your money and avoid. they will push Gell on you. Great customer service however, nails do not last long. It’s been three days since I’ve gotten my nails done and two of them already popped off. This is the first time this ever happened and I always take care of my nails. Read Less

This establishment is extremely racists. I wasn't greeted upon coming in. But the two white women that came in behind me were greeted warmly. I was lied to about getting a discount. They had a girl in training do my nails and the shape of them came out horribly. Also paid for eyelash service and the eyelashes only lasted 5days before coming out on one eye. Worst experience of my life. They do not like black people. It was evident based on how I was treated when I first walked in. I had a rushed pedicure because the nail tech at an appt at four but I had already been there seen 130 for services and I had to wait 45mins just to be seen. Horrible service. All the reviews are by white women which is who they cater to. They treated me like my money was no good. Charged me for my services before they were even done and I didn't see him do that with anyone else in the shop and I had been there long enough to see several transactions and all those white women paid on their way out the door. The salon is nice and they have a lot of color options for the powder dips for nails. Their pedicures are really nice. But, in 4 visits for the dip, I had to return twice to have them fixed because the back of the nail had rough edges as it grew out. The owner seemed mad that I dared to return to have it fixed the first time and was rude again the second time. He didn't actually fix them the second time either. Also, I made my appointment directly with him both of the times I had to return but the first time he pawned me off to someone else & the second time he didn't even bother to show up. I went based on a coworker's recommendation and she was shocked by the poor work each of the times. I am a loyal patron, but they certainly didn't earn or even try to earn my loyalty... This 3 star review is not for the work, but, for the difference in prices I am charged for the same service. First visit for dipped nails was with Mike. I was charged $31.00. The next two times I came, I was serviced by two different gals and charged $33.00. This last time I came, I was serviced by young man and charged $35.00! I just don't understand how different operators can charge different amounts for the same service? Not sure if this is the normal practice, but, makes me hesitant to return.11/8  Could not being myself to come back, so went to another salon. Technician informed me that the last technician had stacked too many layers of dip powder which made them so incredibly thick. New salon has done a wonderful job, so, even I won't be returning to Gala anymore. Read Less

We arrived at approximately 5:18pm and they were only supposed to be open until 5, but they took us in anyway...3 pedicures and a manicure. They did an awesome job and never once complained about our late arrival. Read Less

Love love love this place I've tried many salons around Phoenix/Glendale area this is by far the best and will be my go to location. Mike does my nails he is amazing at making them so perfect I tell him I like natural looking acrylics with gel and show him a pic of what design I want and he nails it every time. Our two 4:30 appointments didn't start until 5:00 and 5:15. The ladies were apologetic, but from what other guests had said, this is pretty common. Selection of dip colors was limited, but since this is a newer trend, I try not to hold that against them. I was able to choose a color I like. The quality of my nails is fair at best. They feel pretty thin, not as strong as I would like. There are definitely spots missed around the edges and my color (glitter) looks inconsistent. My friends nails ended up with glitter or color from a different guest mixed into the top coat. The manicures did not come with lotion or hand massage. Only 1 of the 2 of us got cuticle oil. Neither of us were asked to wash, so we left with product powder still on our hands. Unimpressed. Read Less

I really enjoy going to Gala Nails Spa for the convenience in location. They are all very pleasant and make sure they are engaged with you as their customer. This has been by far my worst experience ever! ! The girl hurt my cuticles and my nails and my toes.  She didn't do what I asked and she was doing her own toes while doing mine! I love Gala Nails!  Mike is great; I love the care and time he takes to do my nails.  He uses the SNS and he really knows how to apply it.  He takes his time and does it right!   Not like the previous place I went to; see below! I used to go to Splendid Nails at 59th & Thunderbird, but the girl was always late and no one seemed to care that she was 20 minutes late for a 9:00 AM appointment, then she would hurry thru my appointment to get to the next one. I tried this place because it was close to where I live and it is absolutely amazing. The people are so nice and it is very spacious. The nicest nail salon I have been to. They always have water with fresh fruits and citrus in it and it is so refreshing. This is my new nail place! Read Less

I went there yesterday for a pedi and it was so relaxing and the people there were so nice. I usually get my nails done somewhere else and decided I am going to continue going Gala. It felt like a real salon and they make you feel welcome. Jenny did a great job on my toes and my daughter's toes and nails. I would recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

I have been going here since they opened and absolutely love it. I look forward to coming in each time. I have been going to Micheal the owner for about 3 years now since he worked at west gate. He does amazing nails always takes good care of his customers. And one think I love he never rushes to get done. I'm a very difficult customer but when he does them I know I will have great looking nails. I love the new shop and everyone there does good nails. Absolutely love this salon! Decided to come here because I moved around the corner. Staff is always welcoming. The salon is clean and comfortable. Prices are great. My gel manicures last for 2-3 weeks depending how ruff I am with my hands. I work in the medical field. Constantly washing them.
