Everything seemed fine at first glance, went in to get my normal French tip manacure. They were extremely rough! To the point my hands hurt for days afterward I have bleeding cuticles and I believe my nail bed is damaged they were so rough. Not to mention it didn’t look as good as some of the other places in town. In fact any other place would be better! This is not about saving a dime! Listen to me, stay away if you care about your health and welfare they are so busy because of the location they take no time to slow down they jam and prick and jerk and never wash their tools! So if someone before you has some kind of infection you most likely will have it jammed under your cuticle and injected into your blood stream!! Read Less

Ok so my wife swindled me into going to get a pedicure (leg massage for me).... All I can say is wow, not only great service but the lady who worked on my legs did an amazing job, strong hands and she spent a good amount of time on each leg. So upset the salon was sold. Tee did my nails and they were always amazing. BUT now I will never go back. I had a 2:30 appointment and 1.5 hours later I was still sitting there. If I had my car there I would of left. Thank god my ride showed up just a few minutes later. I was so DONE!!!! Now have to find a new salon. Read Less

Beware sub-optimal rushed attention to customers I paid $35 for a 10 minute pedicure the guy kept walking away did not massage but for a second and did a foot scrub maybe three or four strokes it's the worst pedicure I've ever had.As I was receiving my 10-minute pedicure my 11 year old sat down for what I thought was going to be a manicure instead he just painted her nails and told her she didn't need a manicure.They smile and are very pleasant but they're lazy. I have been to royal nails twice, the first time my nails came out okay, so when two other salons were booked full, we decided to try it again for gel polish & pedicure. I'm not super picky about my nails - just want a decent gel polish job and friendly service. My nails came out okay again, except two of my fingers had something stuck under the gel polish, that was quite noticeable & I noticed when I was paying. I mentioned it to the man at the counter, who then looked & fel...t what I was talking about. he had the guy come over who did my nails. The man who did my nails started filing my nails and wouldn't acknowledge the two lumps on my nails. When I mentioned that I didn't need them filed around the edges and said it was the two things stuck in my nails that I wanted him to file he laughed at me and shrugged his shoulders. He shook his head and started to walk away. Then turned around and pointed at one of the chairs, for me to have him fix the nails. I said (politely) that I didn't want them re-done, just to file the weird bump things that he painted on my nails and he laughed again. I realized why the two other salons were full (we walked in to both before coming to royal and every single chair was full at those salons with hours+ wait) and royal had only one person in there. The main/pedi was fine, but the owner(?) was very abrasive/inappropriate in conversation with the customers. I have gone there a few times to see if maybe he was having a bad day, but the situation is always the same. They also do not post/list their prices, or tell you how much anything costs, so you really have no idea what your total is. The pricing actually seems to be more expensive than any other place I've been to in Wasilla. I don't get my nails done often, but the prices seem high. Will not go here again. Read Less

Do NOT give your money to this place! Quality is non-existent, "Shellac Manicure" consisted of cutting two of my cuticles, cutting all of my nails off (only asked for them to be trimmed) and a sloppy job on my french polish. I called ahead and they said there was an opening for me and a friend. We still waited 10 minutes but that is normal. They were quick and efficient and the pedicure was nice. I also mentioned to the owner who was doing my feet that I was a nail biter and going to a wedding and he squeezed me in for acrilics and I'm really happy because he made them short for me because I have small fingers. No. Just no. Save yourself the time and money, and find a different place to have your feet cared for and pampered. The front desk service was poor. The gentleman who did my pedicure at least smiled a bit, but otherwise the techniques and product used was subpar when considering the price of a pedicure. Read Less

It was my first time going to this salon and it was my last time also. I'm in pain! I was bleeding from my heal because my skin had been basically grated off with the grater they used. I was bleeding thru the towels.. All they did was put something on it to make it quit bleeding that hurt really bad. The bottom of my heal looks like it went thru a cheese grater! Not happy. Terrible. I asked for a simple square french tip. What did I come out with? Blood all over my hands from the guy not knowing what he was doing, and crooked nails that show my real nail underneath. Also, the guy 'in charge' kept making nasty remarks about how it was "going to take forever". Very rude staff. The guy that did my nails also put a 10$ tip on my card without my permission.
