It should be noted that this place is inside a Walmart. That said, don't let it deter you. It's a little cramped, but the staff is friendly and good at what they do.  My mom and I got our toes done here while on vacation and our polish is perfect and our rough feet much smoother!  We took a $10 Uber ride from our hotel, which was totally worth it because we would have spent more on pedis closer, and we were able to stock up on some necessities from Wally World while we were at it. Found THE best nail salon today - after a horrific experience at a "to be named on Yelp (aka Artistic Nails) " salon. Using my maps program, it took me to WalMart, and not the best WalMart in Anchorage...thought I must be lost. I thought, this place can't be the best place for a relaxing, soothing, pampering experience since it is located right in front of the check out lines, but the service! Impressive - for Anywhere! I was in Anchorage for work, and was looking for a place to get a manicure close to my hotel (Embassy Suites on East Benson). Based on prior reviews I knew that this salon is located INSIDE a Walmart, but people seemed to have good things to say, so I gave it a try. My technician was LyLy, and she was fantastic. I can't speak to the quality of the other ladies there, but I thought that LyLy did a wonderful job and I would return there again if I am in town again.  I called and made an appointment, but while I was there a woman walked in and asked for a full set of nails and they're accommodated her right away. Went in with my girlfriend to get her a pedicure and while I was sitting out of the way from everyone, one of the employees asked me to go sit outside and that I was in the way. They were very rude to the point I almost asked my girlfriend to just walk out and we can go some where else. But I didn't want to cause too big of a scene. Read Less

1st time I got my nails done here was back on February 2015 and I loved them. I just recently got my nails done last week. I had an older lady do my nails. She was sweet but kept little to no conversation with me. I told her I wanted the colored gel powder. She said OK and did her thing. That's fine and all but she never once asked me what shape I wanted or if I wanted the color gel powder only on the tip or the whole nail. When she was gluing the tip on she never filed down... the edges where the tip met my nails. And when she was building my nails they were so thick even after she filed them down. Again she shaped them how she wanted never asked me once. I tried to tell her how I wanted them done and she would just look at me, keeping quiet, or say something in Vietnamese. Before she finished you can see a black hair or thread in my nail that got mixed in with the gel powder. I tried to point it out and she told me not touch my nails and that it was fine. I had to literally tell her 5 times to take it out. After she was finished I could clearly see that I had lifting on some of my nails and then she charged me $55 but your sign clearly says $45.
