Requested manicure French tip with glow gel didn't get manicure. Gel bubble and was lopsided requested redo was told that it was good work!!! Asked for redo told it would be an $15 redo asked for them to take it off told it would an additional cost!! Wedding guest had a redo at no cost attendants loud talked!!! AFRICAN AMERICAN customer setted before i came in before requested redo!! Had waited 25 - 45 min+ or more at table before service started!!! VIP Nails and Spa provides wonderful service and a broad selection of colors. There is a large area in the back with pedicure chairs. They even have butterfly pedicure chairs for kids.  It is my go to place in Vestavia and much better than the previous nail salon in the same location.My gel manicures and spa pedicures are consistently well done. The family that owns the place is really nice and hard working. I have never tried there waxing services, so I can't speak to that side of their menu. Read Less

I was honestly a little disappointed with this place if I'm being 100% honest. It's close to my house so I thought that I would give it a try but I definitely won't be back. I didn't want a full on manicure or pedicure. I didn't have a whole lot of time so I just ran in for them to paint my nails. I decided to go with a gel color because like I said I didn't have a whole lot of time. The place was EMPTY so I got right in. The girl didn't talk to me at all, which was okay because I know English wasn't her first language. After she was done, I paid $25. Which was a lot considering that all she did was paint. No filing, no clipping, literally just paint. (I'm still a little mad at how much it was) BUT please look at the pics of my nails. It looks like they are a week old. The positives here were that the people and facilities were nice and I was attended to quickly. I will say I was multitasking on the phone at first and so the technician began clipping my toenails before asking what my preferences might be. As a result my toenails ended up being much shorter than I'd prefer. I suppose I should have paid more attention overall because I now see there is clearly just one coat of polish on my nails, which in my opinion looks shabby....especially when you pay $30. Also, the divider the technician used on my toes caused a indentation on one toenail. I pointed this out once I was at the dryer and asked it be fixed. They repainted over it and I should have looked closer after because it is still very obvious. Finally, I waited to be checked out for at least 15 minutes, just standing at the counter, while the three employees working were tending to three customers who had come in after me. Overall I am very dissatisfied with the pedicure and experience. I paid too much, waited too long and have a crummy pedicure to show for it. Read Less

Every time I come here I'm never disappointed. The whole staff is very friendly and attentive. They help me when I'm unsure of the shade of nude I need for my manicure and I always feel pampered and like I'm most important customer in the world!
