Too pricey, long wait, bad quality. Service rushed. I was starting to like this place until my last visit today. I was cut several times, the almond shape is not even close they were cut way too short did even check to ask me the length. I saw that this place offered college discounts and thought I would try it out because my usual nail salon was too busy. BIG mistake! I needed a refill on what's called SNS nails (which by the way almost every salon offers and is so much better for you) and they tried to tell me it was bad... didn't even remove the color and put gel color on top of it. I asked for a manicure and they didn't even give me a manicure and after my color was applied they asked me to wash my hands and when I came back they had already put another person where I was sitting! Didn't even bother to clean up after and to say you're done thank you for coming and come back. It was very hurried and I was ignored half the time because it was "busy". I went to another nail salon two weeks later and they told me that my nails were so messed up from this place. I will not be coming back and I do not recommend coming here... spend the extra money and go to midtown nails. Read Less

I have never been treated so rudely. I went in to get a nail fixed while I was in town for a college tour with our son. The lady said that since I was from out of town they couldn't help me. I offered to pay but they said they don't do American style polish. The other customer standing there was in shock at how rude the lady was. The worst experience I done had and will not be going back again went to get my nails done my nails were done crooked normally when I get my nails done they always put clear coat on last he didn't put none on there and to pay $30.00 dollars for a half job is ridiculous. When I been paying $28.00 when I told the young lady up front about the price and my nails they both just look at me like I was lying I feel like I should get an refund for a half done job. If they are not willing to redo something they messed up, then they are not good enough to get my business again. That is pure laziness. The guy messed up my nails completing then said "well we can paint the entire nail to fix this." I wanted French tips. If I wanted my entire nail painted,I would have asked for it. Then,to top it off he starts saying they'll do a better job next time. No, not at all. If you really wanted to fix it then you would have done it this time. Literally not coming back. I have been going here for over 6 months every two weeks getting my nails done by Dustin. He did an awesome job and did my nails exactly how I wanted them every time. A few weeks ago I went in to get my nails done and he was not there and the person at the front told me him and Katie (she did my pedicures) his girlfriend went out of town for a few days so I waited and went back a week later and was told again that they went on a vacation for a few days and would be back soon. So I waited another week and I went back on Friday the 8th to get my nails done and Dustin and Katie we're still not back so I went ahead and got them done by someone else. It was horrible! I had a full set with gel polish on my fingernails and I also had a pedicure and they were both horrible experiences! My nails we're done crooked and the fingernail polish is Lumpy where it is thicker in some places than in others! He was in such a rush that he cut the edge of two of my fingers with the tool he was using!! I called today to make an appointment with Dustin and find out that him and Katie moved out of town 3 weeks ago! So all this time they have been lying to me just to get me to get my nails done there! I will not go back to this nail salon again! If anyone has any suggestions on a good Salon I would really appreciate it! Read Less

This is the worst nail salon in the free world. I wish I had chewed my own nails off instead of the horrifying attitude, facilities, rudeness and bad results both my friend and I received when we went for manicure pedicures. The polish is crap, the service is hideous and they barely put the polish on our nails and then pretended we had messed it up. Seriously this place is terrible. Tuscaloosa Nail and Spa is one of the worst places to go. The owner is rude. I went to Tuscaloosa Nails to get my nails done. The owner did my nails. I was attempting to get a pink and white set but the owner couldn't get it right. I informed him that I did not like my nail (he had only done one nail) and he became irate, took off his mouth piece, and started yelling at me and accused me of not knowing what I wanted. He went on to say that he was the owner and he knew what he was doing. I questioned why he was becoming upset and he denied being upset. However, it was very obvious that he was. When I requested that Katie finish my nails, he became extremely rude and stated, "I'm the owner and I'm not going to allow anyone to do your nails." He pretty much instructed me to leave his shop and appeared to become even more irate because I refused to let him take my nails off. I informed him that this was bad customer service and reminded him that I was a long time customer. The owner acknowledged that I was a long time customer but he let his emotions get the best of him. Doesn't he know that owners don't always get it right? He definitely needs a lesson on how to treat his customers. But before that, he needs a refresher course on how to properly do a pink and white set. Or better yet, he needs to stick to management and stay behind the counter. Read Less

Very rude, argumentative, and unsanitary.  After spending 5 minutes experiencing demeaning and insulting comments and gestures, I just said never mind and walked out.  DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!Wish I saw Russ M.'s comment before I went--I literally felt victimized as well and as if I was an annoyance.  I have NEVER been treated like that in a place of business.  What a way to lose potentially faithful customers!!!! We have had 2 bad experiences here...well, not me personally, my 15 year old daughter was the actual victim...customer. The first bad experience was a few weeks ago when they tried to double charge her but quickly backed off when asked about it. We just put that one off to a mental mistake....But, this Saturday, she went in asking for a particular service, the nail person ( I just don't know the correct name for it) talked her into another service which he said would be better for her nails. She was under the impression that this would be a less expensive thing. But at the end was charged the full price for nail service including putting on new nails (which she did not have done)....When I asked about the pricing and the switch away from what she had asked for the man who identified himself as the owner became very defensive. He raised his voice to a level that was disturbing to all of the customers in the waiting area. He asked a lot of questions which became more and more accusatory about my daughter, then he flat out said she was lying....Not a good thing to say in front of THIS Dad.My view of this is that they were taking advantage of her youth and trying to intimidate her when questioned about it.She plans on finding another place for her nail work. The first time I went to get a full set of gel, they were great, it was busy but they got me right in and were extremely quick without compromising the quality of the job. The second time, the nails still look good, but they were very rough. Me and my friend were both bleeding from multiple fingers afterward and one of my fingers got an infection about a week after and has been swollen for 3 days, still not sure what exactly is wrong with it, however it is obvious that it is coming for the nail salon wound. "Gel" sets are actually acrylic nails with a layer of gel over the top coat- $35. Acrylic full set- $25. Read Less
