I went there for the first time today and I got a mani and pedi. The place was clean and I liked that. The lady that done my pedicure was very sweet and done what I asked her to do. The guy that done my nails, not so much. I wanted a sns clear base coat with a gel color on it. ( because my nails break easily, even with gel). I get this every time I get my nails done no matter where I go, and they do it for me. As I was telling the gentlemen what I wanted done, he told me that it wasn’t how it worked that I could get gel or sns not both. I was like okay fine, so I went with sns bc they had the same color in sns that I wanted in gel. I then told him o wanted coffin shape nail, he told me my nails were too short for that shape, it would look stupid. So I let him finish, he did a square shape. (I HATE SQUARE SHAPED NAILS ON ME my nails are a bit bigger so it makes my nails appear larger than what they are). I will never go here again, simply because I paid $95.00 for a mani and pedi and did not even get what I wanted. I understand that the nail techs have their opinion on what will look good or whatever, but if I am going to spend that much money on nails, I at least want what I want not what the nail tech wants. Elegant Nails is a very nice nail salon. I just moved to this part of town and wanted to find a new nail salon. They have over a dozen pedicure chairs and a lot of employees working. Unlike most salons that have a dozen chairs but put you in the water and leave you sitting for a while until they get to you. I got a gel mani and the lady did a wonderful job. She cut my nails down to the right size and she took her time. I will be back to Elegant nails. I did not give them 5 stars because I wish they had more gel polish color choices. Read Less

I was one of the last customers for the day. All the staff were cleaning EVERYTHING. All 16 pedicure chairs were wiped as we're ALL jars and bottles. All towels were replaced. Every surface was wiped including plant leaves. And of course the floor was swept. No wonder I like this salon. Read Less

Easily one of the best nail salons in Mobile County! The staff are courteous, friendly, and take great care of you quickly. The new facility is stunning too. I've gone to numerous "prestige" salons and paid triple, but I always go back to Elegant Nails because they remember me and treat me like a friend! Read Less

This was a very bad experience for me. I asked for gel polish and was not given. She put regular nail polish on and put a gel top coat. The nails dried tacky and three of them were not looking good. I asked her why she did not communicate with me several times, she just laughed and carried on! She charged me 33.00 for a fill and polish! What a rip off! Nice atmosphere with no tv blaring, which can be hard to find in Mobile. I went here because my regular nail tech is on maternity leave and this place is close to work. I was quickly assisted and was in and out in 50 minutes. I got a gel manicure by a tech named Mike. He was professional didn't engage in small talk, which I liked because I wanted to relax. He did a good job although I'll have to square off 1 or 2 nails to make them more even. I did go from almond to square, which isn't an easy transition to accomplish in 1 visit. I am very happy with my visit here and plan on returning. I do wish they offered a return-visit incentive, such as punch card.Less than a week later: Gel polish is chipping and I can see how uneven it was applied with the little new growth that has come in. I like the way they all want to get to business when you walk in but the lady that did my nails today her professionalism went out the door since the last time I had been which was this year 2015 for Mother's Day she threw my bank card to me and left my signed receipt on the table when she was done didn't escort my to the nail dryer just walked off to another client . I didn't know their hours of operation when I walked in & didn't realize what time it was when I got there, which happened to be 5 minutes before they close...but they were very nice & still accommodated my need for a pedi.   The girl did a very nice job & did not rush through, even though they were closing up!
