So I moved here from Cali. Have tried literally every nail salon in my area. Settled with this salon and again am saddened and disappointed! The quality of work is good they love SNS and stear you toward that style at all cost. Matter of fact if you aren't doing SNS they will actually take clients ahead of you....craziness...therefore...no need to make an appt because they don't matter. You can waste ur time and call if you like but won't change ur wait time. They take who ever comes in first and never deviate from that. I had an appt today at 1245 and at 115 I am still not soaking or frankly doing anything useful! I can assure u....u better block off a good few hours to simply get a fill! Stupid busy with bad management skills and practices. I also don't care for the way the crows on the far wall sit and speak in their native tongue about the customers! Please dont tell me they aren't doing that. They are avoiding using English so that they can make fun of the customers and their requests! I am again on the hunt for a new salon because they are too slow to come in on the weekdays after work and too busy not keeping their appts on the weekends to be worth it! I come with my daughter often to get my nails done. They do very well with fill ins and S & S nails. Today I went to get my nails done. I was sitting in the chair having my polish taken off. Another customer came in who did not have an appointment but specifically wanted the tech who was doing my nails to do hers. So instead of finishing mine and then starting hers, he actually stopped doing my nails and ask me to move to another tech!!! So.....I feel they cater more to Caucasian than to people of color!!!!. They usually do a really good job on my nails. I always get sns and they always look great and last a long time. As of recently though they've been extremely rude when I come in and it's made me want to look for another shop. The last time I went it took almost a hour for them to get to me where I just said fine give me a pedicure too since they always ask. They took about 30 minutes to finally get started and they forgot to turn on the fan for my feet to dry. It was fine because I could see that they were busy and didn't mind waiting another 20 minutes, what made me mad was that they wouldn't stop telling the girl working on my nails to do other stuff. Sns already takes a while to do and she had to get up to answer the phone, ring out other customers, fix mess ups, and someone even demanded that she be the one to wax her eyebrows. She did a poor job on my nails because of the constant interruptions and I was there for 3 hours! I just wanted my nails done and left there pissed and feeling like I obviously don't matter as a customer because someone who payed $8 after demanding to get her eyebrows done after 10 minutes was more important than the girl (me) spending $70 and waiting patiently for you to mess up her nails. I love this place! Every time I come home, I try to visit Nova Nails. I love the SNS manicures, as they last 2-3 full weeks without any chipping. They take their time on pedicures and do a wonderful job! I highly recommend coming here for your nails. Read Less

This nail salon isn't much to look at, but they did a great job on my nails. My nail technician was very nice. I tried SNS for the first time, and it's a lengthy process, but man do they last! My nails lasted over 3 weeks and weren't even chipping when I went to get them soaked off. Read Less

Love the service here. Each worker I've come across here takes their time with you and makes sure they are doing a good job. The quality of all their products are great as well. They all ask questions to make sure you're comfortable and give you the service you want/need, are very accommodating, and don't seem like they're in a hurry to get you out of there. Although while reviewing some "bad reviews" prior to testing the waters I do go when it's not too busy--- preferably on a weekday before 2pm and it's definitely a relaxing experience. I had an awesome experience today with Jocelyn (I hope I'm spelling her name right) I love that there's no TV on the walls only music to hear. It's intimate, with a lovely ambiance. The chairs are just regular, comfy that don't vibrate and shake you all over. The foot basin is a copper tub that adds a special touch. This is the first pedi where I didn't have to wrench my leg and foot accommodate the lap of the manicurist. I was completely comfortable. I'll be returning. Read Less

I have been going to Nova for pedis a few times a year. None of my experiences have been fantastic, but yesterday's was enough to decide I will NOT be returning. There is a massage/ pedi chair in the far back right of the room I've seen them throw junk on over the last couple of years. As a result, it's pretty gross looking. Anyway, the last TWO times I've been they've stuck me in that chair. I took it, not liking to complain and hoping they just really tried cleaning it, but it was permanently stained. (The massager on it also does not work very well. Also, all the other chairs were available in the room.) My actual pedicure was fine, but when I went to check out, they said my cards (I handed them the two I had in my wallet) were declined. I KNEW I had plenty of money on both cards to pay for the pedi, so I asked them to try entering a card manually to see if it was their swiper. They refused and treated me like I was either a poor money manager or a fraud. So, I had the lady behind me try swiping her card. It wasn't until a few of HER cards were declined that they finally decided to see if it was their system. IT WAS! No apologies to me either. I regret giving them more chances than they needed. Worst pedicure I've ever had. The cheap polish still wasn't dry 4 hours later. I asked them to trim my nails and they only filed them and now 5 days later, I have to go get another pedicure. The calluses are the same as they were when I walked in, not to mention I waited for 30 minutes for them to get started. Just say it will be 30 minutes, would you like to wait?! Poor service. I'm a college student and had to move away from home and my favorite nail salon. I use the SNS Nails and everywhere I looked no one close to me did them, I was heartbroken. I found Nova Nail Salon and found out they did the dipping powder. I was still anxious to try a new nail salon out of state. I'm so glad I did. Well, it starts with the people. They are wonderful and funny. They are also good to my feet! Here's my list of why this is a great place: I get my own copper soaking bowl with very hot water, attention paid to my horrible callouses, help choosing the right color, a beverage of choice, magazines I never have at home, laughter and gossip with friends. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Used to be a patron here for pink & white acrylics when it first opened years ago under the name Modern Nails & Spa (knew the original owners personally) then moved away. Wanted to try something new for my nails after going through the whole gel nail phase and was introduced to SNS and reintroduced to Nova Nail & Spa. OMG! I'm in love! Nova Nail & Spa is the ABSOLUTE BEST place for SNS. They have a variety of colored powders to choose from, the environment is very calming, the salon itself is just so pretty (love that it looks the same as before), and all of the nail technicians are quite skilled. I went here for the first time the other day and got my SNS nails that I always get no matter where I go and only go places that offer it, (I swear by it) which is why I went here. They did a great job and I was very pleased. I will be back for sure. The only thing I can say is it isn't the cleanest but most nail places get somewhat dirty throughout the day anyways and it was around 5:00 in the afternoon. Forget your chop shop mani and pedi...take the time and spend the extra money to see the ladies at Visit. They make your nail treatments a special treat. Renee did such a great job on my hands and feet. She took the extra time to make sure they not only looked great, but felt great too.
