Don did a MUCH better, and much quicker job (30min) and it was a very reasonable price! Today was my first visit to Kim's nail salon and I was so impressed. I was greeted immediately. They were so busy and the young lady asked me if I minded waiting 15 mins and I said of course not, she was very apologetic but waiting wasn't even a problem for me. So I sit down not knowing what to expect in the way on my nails being done, but I must say my nails turned out amazing and Don did an awesome job and did them just I wanted them done. Hardly ever have a wait to get a gel manicure. And they last two weeks with hardly any paint loss! Seriously! Lots of gel colors to choose from, and even some that can match regular polish for your toes. Friendly staff that remembers me even when it's been several weeks. Love that HGTV is always on. My first visit here was wonderful. My second was sub par. When you decide to get a gel manicure you know it's more Expensive and bad for your nails but you get it regardless because you need it to last. Mine lasted 3 days. 3. Days. I had high hopes for this place. The stag was nice and a friend recommended this to me. I got a gel manicure from here that was terrible. I got it one week ago and I've had two nails break because he only put one coat on. He didn't bother to shape my nails some are oval and some a square. I worked hard to grow my natural nails and it really pisses me off that I paid 40 bucks for this. The guy was clearly a tech and didn't know what he was doing. As a owner or manager you should monitor inexperienced workers! Now you have lost a customer and more than just one because I will definitely not recommend this place. Read Less

I came to this nail salon for the infamous Don that I read about in the other reviews. He wasn't very friendly and he got annoyed that I wanted him to do my nails very short. I also got a pedicure, the lady who did my pedicure was sick. She was wheezing the entire time, and sneezing, as she could barely breathe through her nose, it was really a gross and unpleasant experience. Also, one of my fingernails had a black dot on it and when I asked Don to fix it he picked it out with his nail and painted over it... So while the black dot was gone there was now a nail indent in my nail. I politely asked him to remove the polish and repaint the nail and boy was he unhappy that I asked him to fix something he messed up. Overall my pedicure sucked and my nails look terrible. I've been going here now for about 6 months. I admire the fact that Don the guy that does my nails also let's me know when I need a break from the gel nails and treats my natural nails. LOVE this place. I brought my little sister here for a girls' day, and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and they were sweet as pie to my sister (I very much appreciated this). I've been here on several occasions and have never been unhappy with the service given to me. Since the first time I went, they have remembered me every time. They are always very quick to see people even when it is crowded, And have always been friendly and given me what I had asked for. Was impressed with my pedicure. I got a deluxe pedicure with gel french tips. The nail tech did an amazing job! I came in at 645p, they close at 7p and they stayed open late to take care of me. Love the salon. Everyone is so nice!! Just moved to Madison area and found this salon on yelp. Don did my nails and he was fast and did a really good job. I asked for white tips with gel acrylic full set. He told me it was 30$ but for $40 he would do pink and white. He wouldn't take my tip he just wanted me to look good! He said come back next time for a fill in then you can tip me. Really cool cause I settled cause I didn't have enough cash. But he ended up giving me what I wanted anyways!! Ask for him. I have to start with the fact that I rarely get my nails done professionally.  My nails stay in pretty good shape, so I usually do is put a coat of polish on and go.  That being said, whenever I have a special occasion when I need my nails to look better than usual, this is where I choose to go!  I absolutely love how they paint the french manicure.  Instead of using a stencil or the regular polish brush, they paint the top half of the nail and then use acetone and an artist's brush to shape the white area. They always look very natural instead of obviously being fake. They offer regular manicures and pedicures, along with acrylic nails and shellac manicures. I recently did the shellac manicure, which definitely held up the whole 2 weeks without chipping or loosing shine at all. Read Less
