I was a first time customer Thursday 2/22/2018 afternoon. I brought in myself and two others where I paid for all 3 services together. We were in and out within 30 minutes. The pregnant lady I had for my pedicure was very rude. As we left we didn’t receive the first have a nice day but others surely did. RUDE! I chose Venice because a lot of co-workers recommended it. I am impressed by Venice Nails. The prices are a little higher, but you get what you pay for. This nail salon is extremely clean, and they use disposable bowl liners. They bring out a vacuum sealed bag of tools that they open in front of you, so I feel like they sanitize them properly for each customer. The staff has been very nice as well and done good work. I'm new to Birmingham and have tried 5-6 nail salons in the past 10 months.  I went to Venice Nail Spa last weekend because it's close to home and it had really great reviews.  The shop itself is very tasteful and comfortable and they offer you water, wine or other drinks when you enter.  Sadly, although the pedicure was nice and my feet feel better, the manicure was the worst I've ever had.  I re-looked at the reviews and I guess if you're paying a lot more for fake nails and the new SNS nail treatments, they may be fine.  I only asked for a regular manicure with regular polish in the "American" style.  Well, the guy who did my nails tried to joke with me (not very successful), like "are you ready for me to cut you now" as he started to trim my toenails and cuticles but didn't know how to do an 'american' nail.  The manicure was poorly done, he really didn't trim my cuticles very well and he just put on a very light layer of clear polish over my nail after the 'French' tip was done.  Needless to say, it was all flaking away after 3 days of normal activities and no  hard work with my hands!  I won't be back for a second try.  The price for a "classic manicure plus $5 for the 'french' American nails plus classic pedicure" was $52.It seemed everybody else there was getting artificial nails or gel polish.  I guess regular polish is out of style..... I recently moved here and decided to treat myself to a pedicure. As soon as I walked in I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Everything was exceptionally clean and they had such a variety of colors. I believe her name was Kristy and I want to say that she was amazing! She made me very comfortable and made the conversation run so easily. I chose this new place because I was in Hoover and it had 5 stars. The pedicure was horrible. It is chipping away in one day. My pedicure at two other places I go to last a month and they never chip just grow out. I wasted my money and going to have to get it redone on vacation. I will not be going back. Read Less

This is my second time visiting.  They owner and all of the other staff were friendly and my nails looked great!  I love the way the place is styled and designed.  My only con is that they are a little more expensive than others. I went back two days ago and was charged $40 for a "Fill-In"...that's as much as a "Full-Set". Other than that, everything else was fine. Read Less

I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Venice Nail & Spa! They were super friendly & accommodating. They offer you wine, a mimosa or margarita (I had a mimosa ) & the atmosphere is super relaxing! It's so nice, modern & clean. They give you a card & stamp your card when you spend over $30. Once you get 10 stamps you get $10 off of your next service, which is awesome! This is my new favorite nail place. Service is very very good, staff are very friendly and they offer you drinks during your service. (Mimosa, "margarita" or white wine...skip the "marg") Services are done quickly and carefully. I have very sensitive skin, especially on my hands and they are quite gentle and I haven't had a reaction to any of their products, which is worth its weight in gold to me. My ONLY complaint is that they seem a bit more expensive than comparable shops. I am still willing to pay it for a place I really like, though. Read Less

This place is super nice! John did a wonderful job on my nails and the customer service I received from the moment I walked in was incredible! The decor give this place a nice spa feeling and it feels very classy! I can't wait to go back and try out the VIP pedicure with the margarita.
